About a month ago a client came in my studio with a small but very loud tube amp! Come to find out it was a Fender Pro Junior. We got some really awesome sounds during this tracking session so I set out to see if I could find a good deal on ebay. I was looking for a Pro Junior when I stumbled upon one that had been remodled into a beautiful oak cabinet. I already enjoyed the tone of a stock Pro Junior so this intrigued me. To make a long story short...I was the winning bidder. Now that I own this one of a kind amp I am very very pleased with the beauty of it both cosmetically and sonically! The tone of my amp is much warmer and clearer than the tone of my friend's stock Pro Junior. I couldn't be happier with it. Doug at Vintone really made this into a work of art in every way.

In combination with my favorite POD sounds, and stomp boxes I can get excellent tones from this amp. Of course the POD stuff is digital so it is great to have them running into a tube amp with such great tone. This set up gives me the best of both worlds. Instead of running direct out of the POD into the console, I run the POD through the Pro Junior and then mic it. When using the amp alone you can get killer clean/bluesy sounds.

Doug left the bottom back side of the cab open so it is very easy to interchange your favorite tubes. Also, the cabinet is totally waterproof so that adds some extra protection incase of a sudden rain shower during an outdoor show. Doug replaced the handle with an extra sturdy brown raised leather handle which only adds to the durability.

Doug has kept constant communication with me. I hate when I buy or sale something on ebay and it takes forever to finish the transaction. This was not the case at all with Vintone. This was a very smoothe and fast transaction. As far as customer support, Doug has already given me great advice about optional tubes to swap in and out of the amp for additional tones.

If you have an amp that you love but would like a clearer, cleaner, and warmer tone then don't hesitate to send your amp in to Doug at Vintone. I go through a lot of pro audio products and 9 times out of 10 I am dissapointed because I got caught up in some hype I read in a review or on a music forum. This is one of the times I have enjoyed a product that exceeded my expectations.
