Features : 9
1) The amp was handmade over a two month period in 2002.
2) The amp is totally versatile and fits well with the kind of music that I play (country, rock).
3) Two channels, footswitchable, no FX loop, but has valuabe line out to drive slave amp or headphones if desired.
4) I wish it had no extra features. It has one channel set up for low gain and one for high. The high gain channel has a lot of gain, and I normally have the gain set at about "3.5" or "4" because I don't need a lot of gain, so get ready for that.
5) I use this amp in small clubs. It puts out 6-15 watts depending on the tubes, but it's single-ended Class A so those are usually ample watts! Sometimes I mic it but that's only for clubs that are quite a bit larger than a usual bar.
6) Since it is self-biasing and Class A single-ended, you can swap out any tubes you like depending on the sound you want! It's SUCH a versatile amp I recommend it to anyone who plays in a band with variety and talent.

Sound Quality : 9
1) Fender Tele, Fender Strat, Arnold Instruments Model One
2) Perfectly
3) Very quiet when nothing is being played. Almost no noise.
4) Great blues and gainey amp with a good but small clean range. Very punchy sounding (Vox, Matchless sounding)
5) Clean channel gets gainey at about 7 or 8 on the gain dial depending on the tubes you're using. Use a KT-88 for ultimate clean, KT-66 for buttery clean (bluesey distortion).
6) Distortion is gainey, not Boogie, more of a Marshall Plexi when you're using EL34's...

Reliability : 9
1) You can depend on it but I never gig w/o backup. Always use a condom, so always have a backup...
2) When I received the amp, one of the relays was shorted out, but Doug sent me one ASAP in the mail! I was up and running in no time.

Customer Support : 10
Doug rocks. He has always been helpful and will bend over backwards for you if there's something that comes up.

Overall Rating : 9
This Too Tone rocks because it was made only for me. It was dialed in for the tones I was going for - blues sounds with some clean punch. I love Class A's and this is the cream of the crop when it comes to versatility in a Class A !!!
