I am not going to describe all the features they are available on the AER site. I just want to react to the last comment before mine, I think the person is not speaking about the same amp. The acousticube 3 is super versatile and can be so much tweaked that I doubt feedback would be a problem in any playing situation. You just have to be smart the way you place your amp and how you tweak it.

The sound is just great. It is exactly what I was looking for. I am playing a ES 335 and 175 through the amp. I prefer the sound of the 335 actually. It is pure, warm. The onboard effects are great. I play jazz and blues. I tried funk and it was working out well.

I play since 25 years. I have a strat, 2 Godins (LGXT and Multiac Jazz), 1 copy of a L5, 1 335 and 1 175. Amps wise I was playing with a 410 deville from Fender (too loud:)) and a pro blues junior from Fender (great little amp). The Acousticube replaces all the amps because I only play clean. It is light and has a padded bag to carry it. I would buy one again if it would be stolen.
The sound is going to blow you away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2006 AER cube which has lots and lots of features with excellent sound quality for certain pick ups and in certain situations. 2 channels with alot of flexibility. I tried to use this amp as monitor and pa for vocals and guitar. It did not work well due to more feedback with my condenser compared to other amps like the newest Fishman series, Roland AC-60 or my old Ultrasound 100 and 200.One feature that did bother me was the fact that you did not have seperate channel after effects XLR outs and the ability to use seperate effects on both channels. Wouldnt every acoustic guitarist like different effects on vocals vs guitar or 1 guitar and the 2nd guitar. Cannot do that with this amp even though there are 100 effects. I find this aggravating and consider it poor design. There are several amps that you can do this with including ultrasound, Crate, Roland, Genz Benz. AER would not be creating the wheel here. Shouldnt they beat the competion in every way considering the hefty price tag.

For my K&K pick up and LR Baggs M-1 pick up the sound from this Cube was the best Ive heard in any amp.Ive tried just about every one and owned over a dozen acoustic amps. For my Fishman pick ups the AER sounded no better then any of the much cheaper Fishman amps. With quality microphones the amp was outstanding but simply could not be used as a monitor due to horrid feedback issues. Feedback issues are the general rule when trying to use an amp as a monitor but this Cube was worse then ultrasound, Roland and Fishman newer models. If you have a Fishman pick up DO NOT buy this amp before trying the Fishman amps. The Fishmans sound just as good at a fraction of the cost.As a monitor using condensers, Do NOT buy this amp. As an acoustic guitar amp I would say there was noticeable improvement in sound quality with the Baggs M-1, and K&K. As an amp, the condenser sounds absolutely perfect. Very quiet amp. Great effects however most would never be used by typical players. Since I have 3 Fishman pick ups and wanted to use the amp as a monitor I will have to deduct points since a $599 Fishman amp should never sound as good as a $2300 AER.

Ive played for 25 years. I currently own several acoustic amps. I own 6 quality guitars including Larrivee, Gibson and Martin. I have owned Taylors, Guilds, Avalon, Breedlove, Santa Cruz, Takamine, Alvarez yairi etc. This amp was nightmarish experience for me. The dealer misrepresented a "barely visible" ding which was a crater the size of my thumb! The Unit was also obviously a returned unit since the RA number was all over the severely beat up box. This information was not disclosed when purchasing the amp. For the money Im not sure if I would recommend this amp. I know that in my case I found the cost/value balance not worthwhile. Depending on your use and pick up system the high pricetag may be worth it. Ive bought other acoustic amps w/o listening on the net but Im not sure I would do it again w/o hearing the amp first. Since I have a new Fishman unit which is very close in sound quality comparison I would have to rate the cube lower then everyone else here. Im wondering if they just want resale value or if they have non Fishman pick ups which sound so good for $2300. You just never know and sound can be subjective. I will say that I was also a classically trained pianist and violinist. My ear is way better the my playing ability. Usually thats a curse I suppose.

New Amp, just traded it in for the AER compact 60. I use it (almost only) for jazz with my hollow-body Gibsons 175 and L5. Two channels and Aux in. Has also Mioc in, don't need it.
I changed the amp although I was completely satisfied with the compact 60 because the Acousticube 3 is more powerful andcan even be used togeter with a subwoofer. The Acousticube 3 is very powerful for jazz, did'nt try it for rock, but I dont think this will be a match. It's an acoustic amp after all !
Comes with presence and colour switch is able to produce a perfect clear sound.

I use it only for Jazz with standard umbuckers (Gibson). AER's are the first amps for years, that represent a large step forward in clean jazz tone. Have used Polytone before, but now this tone seams too thick and to "electric" to me. The amp absolutely quiet and produce all kind of colours and shades of clean guitar tones. The amp is conntrolled i.e. no distortion ! No distortion channelm !

A dream has come true. Dont know any Amp of this quality (for my purposes). The Compact 60 is 2nd best but the Acousticube 3 is "faster" and mor precise.

This amp is made late 2004 i have tried so many acoustic guitar amps i began to get sick of them there have been some pretty good amps but the real natural guitar sound is always missing which is what i am looking for.I play fingerstyle and flamenco guitar and this amp is versatile it covers just about every range took me abit of time to really fine tune my fingerstyle sound because hey is has to be perfact if you spend this much money on a little back box.there are 2 channels, effects loops,di out,100 programable effects 32bit,usb,headphone and so much more.i wish it had another effects channel not just one so two guitars can play two diffrent effect settings at the same time.most of the features i will use for recording eg...i play alot in bars and big halls so the di out to pa becomes very handy.

i play a maton guitar with ap5 pick up and spainsh handmade guitar.it suits every style i play fingerstyle and flamenco does'nt seem to be noisy just afew pops from time to time i think from power souce.the sounds that come from this mighty little box are just beautiful you can even program own settings in effects patch even really good delays reverbs from lush reverbs, smooth delays to fast echos from delays chorus.the amp does distort at (very high volumes) but won't most amps.distortion is not very brutal just cracking popping from time to time.

This is a new 2005 model, that I purchased from dream guitars. The amp has over 100 editable effects presets, dual channels, 48V phantom power, different input modes for various pickups, including a line in on the back, a DI output, and effectl loop, and much more. It also has a notch filter and a presence control. There is not another amp tht has close to this level of control.

Right now I am playing a Ryan Nightingale equiped with a Trance Amulet pickup system. I use the line input mode and get a sweet, articulate (but not razorblady) awesome sound. I use some reverb and get a huge sound. Nothing sounds even close. I also tried my 2002 Taylor 514CE with Fishman blender, and it also sounded excellent (I have actually never herd that guitar sound better, even compared to my Pendulum SPS1 pre.) I tried the second channel with a Shure SM58, and was rewarded with a very broad, rich vocal sound that blew away the vocal sound on my old Carvin AD100. Next, I tried my Neumann KM105 condenser and punched the phantom power. Wow. Huge Huge Huge! Rich! Studio quality! VERY impressive IMO.

Though I haven't had it long, the quality of the box, the controls, the gigbag, and the whole presentation did not disappoint, even accounting for the intimidating pricetag.

Fred Coyner of AER was great, and very patient as underwent the process of talking myself into spending the money. No repairs as of yet. I'm not worried about it.

Absolutely the best sounding amp I have ever heard. Before I bought it, I thought I would feel a little stupid for paying so much more to get am amp that sounds "a little" better. No so. It is light years beyond #2. Tried them. You can get a great little amp for half the money, but this is so much better than that, it is stupid. Its audiophile sound (it really is better than my studio monitors) tremendous versatility, and rock-hard quality are without equal. The fit and finish, convenient size and weight, all combine to make this, really, a great value. Especially for those of you with expensive, hand-built instruments: Now that you've spent thousands on a fine instruments, you're going to run it through ANY amp? Take it from me, you're better off getting a Taylor and using your extra money to buy one of these. The best guitar fitted with the best PU is going to sound quacky, harsh, and nasty through a cheesy amp. I thought I was getting a good sound through my Carvin AG100 (A tremendous value, however) but as nice as that little amp was, it is without question outclassed by the AER Acousticube 3 (and I actually think the AD100 is much more ear-friendly than just about all of the "big" names in acoustic amplification.)
