This amp has 4 channel. The first 2 channels have there own EQ (3Band). 3 and for share 1 EQ (3Band)
I think that the Domino could use a Anti-Feedback-Section like Notch-Filter and Phase-Button.

I put my Martin-00016GT with a AER 15+ Pickup in Chanel 1 and a Shure SM58 (Vocal) in Channel 2. The Sound of this amp is very clear and quite. I use it as a complete PA in most of the locations i play. It works in for an audiance of 150 people. The Effects are very good for my performances. I only use a Hall-Room-Effect. On bigger Gigs I use a PA and the AER as a Mixer and Monitor. The Stereo-Effect is very useful.

2006 Version. Solid State. Pretty light weight and portable. 48V phantom power. It's 4-channel, but the 3rd and 4th channels are kinda mixed together.... you end up tonally contouring channels 3+4 in one lump. Low-Mid-Hi EQ on each channel. Hi/lo-level input switch; a bunch of dial-in digital reverb and delay effects with send/recieve level sets on each channel.

I think the tonal quality of this amp is quite usable. First of all, it is really noiseless. It's basically plug and play in theory, but I have come to appreciate the end-product tonal quality even more with the addition of some sort of tube preamp fronting the acoustic guitar's input to the Domino. The Domino preamp sections all have that very-dry non-tube digital quality; the plus to that is that it does minimal coloration to whatever you choose to run through it. The dial-in digital effects are OK-at-best... I find outboard effects are way better, and the Domino really works well with them. I have had dificulty getting adequate output levels oput of the effects loop architecture. Lining in a tremolo or reverb straight in with the guitar input yields much better results. All in all, though, an extremely usable, appealing, and professional sound quality.

I haven't beaten up on the amp very much yet, but I know other folks who gig pretty hard with AER Compact 60s and they are durable.

NO problems yet. I can't say I am real fond of the manual.

All in all, this is one heck of a good acoustic guitar tool.... a clear "10." At the retailer's location we did an A/B thing with the Domino and an AER Compact60. Both are super units, but the extra channels, the extra power, and the cubic volume of the Domino were all "bigger", and to my ear and in this case, bigger sounded better. I personally think that the addition of some sort of tube preamp-ing to the guitar input completely warms up the sound of the Domino in a most pleasing way. Not the cheapest unit on the block, but a Domino plus a tube preamp is still way cheaper than an AER Acousticube. PS: These units also sound unbelievably great with piezo-picked-up violins, violas, celli, etc. ...maybe even better than a guitar. It also works super-well with magnetically picked up archtops... especially floating pickups.

Four channel acoustic amp. The mic input and the four channels make it useful as a compact PA. 120 Watts w/2 8"spkrs. awill handle just about any input combination--magnetic PU, piezo PU, mic, line-in. See AER webpage for a comlete description, including the user's manual. This is an extremely versatile amp.

Very, very quiet and clean. This is an ideal amp for acoustic music--jazz, folk, ethnic, bluegrass. I use it with guitar (magnetic PU) and violin (combination piezo & mini-mic) + vocal mic.

Playing 35 years. Currently small Acoustic jazz group. This amp has replaced my gtr amp + small PA that I used to use. Much easier to travel with, load in & out, etc.

I purchased my Domino in May 2004. I routinely use it for four different types of gigs: 1)Classic Rock with my Taylor T-5 plus two vocals 2) Jazz with the same Taylor T-5 plus my vocal and sometimes upright bass 3) Solo classical guitar with a Taylor nylon string and 4) Flute (mic'd), violin (pickup) and classical guitar. It works great for each application.
My only problem with this amp is the difficulty getting it up on a speaker stand. How tough could it be for AER to put a stand adapter in the cabinet? I put a speaker stand adapter(available from AER)on the side of the amp by gluing and screwing a piece of 3/4" plywood then mounting the adapter on that.
Also I put a couple of threaded screw mounts (that you can buy in any hardware store)in the bottom of the amp that accept 1/4" bolts to kick it up a couple of inches if you want to set it on the ground. These two modifications really make the amp much more useful.
I use it in combination with a Schertler Unico on the other side of the stage for a full PA setup. I play mostly resort type gigs so I don't have to be very loud but the AER can kick ass. I'm planning on buying another AER piece to replace the Unico as I'm convinced the Unico doesn't like the T-5. It is a wonderful amp also but I find it better suited to straight acoustic guitar and vocals.
I haven't actually heard a difference using the stereo simulation button but the AER rep assures me that it works with both the XLR and 1/4" outs when hooked up to any other amp. I suspect that you need to utilize the left and right 1/4" outputs to make this feature work. I'd love to know the secret to this feature.

Once I played a remote gig powered by a generator that had voltage issues: The effects circuit failed. Also, from day one the amp couldn't handle vocal sibilence without distortion. Both these problems have been corrected.
I would never go to a gig without backup amplification but the Domino is more reliable that any other amp I've ever owned. Even with the problems mentioned above it never quit.

I shipped the AER for warranty service. The first guys who worked on it in CA must have forgotten to bench test it because when I got it back it wasn't fixed. The second place that worked on in MD fixed it up just fine. The company and rep were very good about resolving the problems.

I've been playing guitar for 40 years...full time for 11. As far as amps go I love Trace Elliot stuff but hate the fact that it is so easy to screw up those 5" speakers and they just won't handle PA duties in a rock band. The Unico Schertler is an amazing amp...I like the sound a little better than the AER especially for vocals but it too just won't quite cut it for PA and I don't think it likes electric guitars. (I send my Taylor T-5 thru the Domino and through a conventional electric guitar amp at the same time.) I own a Lowden concert classical guitar, a Taylor nylon string, a Taylor T-5 and a Laravee Parlor with a magnetic Fishman pickup.

made 2006 in Germany. It is an acoustic amp and in that realm it is as versatile as I ever need. It is 4 channels and I will not get into the specs as they can be easily obtained. It is all solid state, and like having 2 compact 60 amps in one combo. 2 8 inch speakers. I really liked the compact 6o but I needed just a little more punch and volume with clarity and this Domino answered the calling.

I play pretty much only Jazz with big archtops. ( I won't get into a naming game but I m favorite vintage is my 1957 Rare rare Epiphone Emperor Cutaway or Regent model all acoustic with a DeArmond Rythm chief floater, I have modern archtops too that are just so sophisticated in tone, but I still find myself drawn to the vintage sounds most of the time). But I do use some effects on occasion with solidbodies and semi hollow thinlines. This is my last acoustic amp for many many years I am sure unless something unpredictable comes out in the market that is a must have difference. This amp is transparent! It has great clarity, warmth and it is the most articulate amp I have heard. It is clean clean clean, but I overdrive it with a vintage tube screamer too and it responds nicely. It is not a fender twin but it does kick a pleasing overdriven tone with the right guitars. Of course it is not made for this, and in general I use a small tube amp for any overdriven tones or an evans amp. It can distort but you will need a great pedal to get it the way you like it, again this is an acoustic amp, but it is great for a strat or something special as it reproduces what you input. I am sure you have heard this before if you are reading this about a few different amps, but check out my comparison.

Feels solid in construction. I like the textured sratch resistant overing. The controls are intricate and I do worry a little bit about the durability over many years just in the sense that the dials are thin and there are several push buttons too which can get clogged over years. But I am talking vintage like time frames. I won't give an opinion as it hasn't left my house yet and I haven't had it that long.

I have been playing for many years and I'd rather not say just how many. I have some modern babies made by SChaefer, Moll, and Buscarino and my all time favorite 2 custom Carlo Greco guitars. Thsi amp ain't cheap and I am not sure you can call it a value amp in any way, but it is the best acoustic amp I ahve played with myJazz guitars. I played it for 2 days at home compared to AI CODA, AI clarus with RE 12 cab, and lastly against an Evans head with RE cab. The Evans and Acoustic Image were the best Jazz amps and AI acoustic amps I have heard barring high high cost PA systems, this AER domino was just clearer and just the clear winner to my ears. I have also plugged my wife's Yamaha Piano into it and after going through 8 keyboard amps (they did get better and better each time) this is it in the sense that my wife agrees just how real, natural and it had real piano sound. She was never really ever happy with her plugged in sound until now. We won't be filling carnegie hall with it but it is powerful enough for any medium gig. I am buying a AER active Monitor to match too when my bank account recovers. My new favorite amp!!

2003 WAS THE PRODUCTION DATE. THE AER IS AN ACOUSTIC AMP WITH FOUR CHANNELS AND REPRODUCES YOUR ACOUSTIC GUITAR SOUND LIKE NEVER BEFORE.
I HAVE USED FENDER ACOUSTIC AMPS AND NOTHING COMPARES WITH THE SOUND AND VERSATILITY OF THIS AMP. MANUFACTURRED IN GERMANY IT IS A CLEAN SOUND AND VERY COMPACT. THIS WOULD BE YOUR FINAL ACOUSTIC AMP FOR GUITAR.
