Two eight inch speakers with tweeters. 65 amps with one active and one passive input, effects loop, DI out (sweet), volume, bass, treble, sweepable notch filter with on/off switch, reverb and reverb out with on/off switch. Not to heavy - about 28 pounds and laid out well with all controls at the top, nice grill and overall looks. Also it has a slight angled front which is good.

Back around 1999 I started playing again and taking lessons from a pro. I play in a church praise band weekly and have done some simple solo gigs. I own an Alvarez/Yairi DY62c acoustic/electric and an Alvarez/Yairi WY-1SB acoustic/electric. Both guitars have active electronics with on-board EQs. I also run my guitars through various effects pedals including a Boss CS-2, TR-2, Ibanez TS-9, Boss CH-3. I also have a Digitech RP 100. Whether straight out to the amp or through the pedals, the amp gives me what I want from my acoustic guitars. I do a get little hiss at higher volume levels and have tripped something on the notch filter several times and speakers sound like their farting really loud, so I occassionally have to reset things.
I also had an Italia electric guitar with twin humbuckers (now sold) and recently purchased a new Carvin (Strat copy). I find the amp run on the passive input does not hold up as well for electric guitars unless I run them through my pedals. My Boss C/S works really well for this as does the TS-9. I can get all the distortion and screaming I need out of any one of my guitars (not that I'm into heavy metal or anything), but I do like the blues.
I find it offers plenty of volume for my needs and I can always tweak things at the guitar when needed. I have also run a microphone through the passive input and this also works quite well although sometimes I wish the inputs had separate controls or a two channel version was offered.
The DI out is great, because I have run this soundboards and P.A. systems and it works great for that. I also use the DI out to record to my TASCAM recorder. I find it best to minimize effects when recording and just use the pure sweet tone of the natural guitar through the amp to lay down my tracks. Works well with very little background noise if any - especially at lower volumes. This makes the reverb out feature great too for both guitar and vocals.
I doubt if this amp could beat a Trace Elliot acoustic amp but it doesn't cost near as much either.
Overall, the amp gives me what I want and need. It is clean and for my acoustic guitars it is absolutely sweet. I heard other amps, but for the money - you can't beat this!

Reliability : 9
I've accidently left my amp on for a couple of days in a row - no problem. Can't say I have ever had any problems in nearly 3 and 1/2 years. I have gigged it out a few times and it worked great. Not to heavy! I also have a Tech 21 which is pretty good, but not as natural sounding as this amp and is heavier. No service needed so far......don't know what I would do if it did need service.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Can't say anything about the company - never dealt with them and hope I don't have too. I bought my amp on E-Bay and haven't seen them around since. I see one for sale once in a while in local music stores. It supposedly has a five year warranty. Hope I don't have to use it.

Overall Rating : 9
I would definitly consider buying another one of these again only I wish they made a slighty bigger model - say 100 Watts that would be good for playing larger venues. I think if they keep their quality intact and price competitive they should make major in-roads in the acoustic amp market. I've not regretted my purchase one bit! I'm considering purchasing an electric amp for my new Carvin and I am just befuddled with all the choices and costs are generally higher for a similar wattaged amp. I know someone who purchased a new Behringer Ultracoustic amp for his Martin guitar and I don't think it can touch my A.R. - even with all the extra bells and whistles. All I can say is if you are looking for a low to moderate cost, high quality, natural sounding and reliable acoustic amplifier; you can't go wrong with A.R. Acoustic amps!

I bought this amp about 1.5 years ago and have used it in my house only. It's got all the features I need, though I won't go into detail since the other posters have provided info.

Sound Quality : 10
I use this amp with my Carvin CL450 classical guitar. I have the controls set flat, notch filter and mid scoop off and do the EQ using the Fishman Prefix Pro on my guitar. I chose this amp over the Fender Acoustasonic Junior and Acoustasonic 30 as well as a couple of Crate acoustic amps. The Fenders were too bright, and although the Crates were OK sounding, the ProVerb 65 lets the natural sound of my guitar shine through.

Reliability : 10
Although this amp doesn't get a tremendous workout in my home, not like gigging anyway, it's been reliable and sounds great every time I fire it up, which is almost daily these days.

Customer Support : 5
I wish they had a web site! I got my amp at Elderly Instruments, and they don't sell it anymore. I'm wondering if the company has gone out of business? Too bad if it has, because the ProVerb 65 is a great little amp!

Overall Rating : 10
I'd want to buy another if something happened to this one, but I don't know where I'd find one these days.

Brand new ..2000. I wouldnt dare take this amp any place larger than a coffe shop type of gig. Just not enough power . One channell, reverb ok, but not hat great. I was looking for a portable amp that i could take instead of my 75lb Roland ac-100. This amp is no Roland....

Sound Quality : 2
Very tinny sound with small 8" Speakers. Sounds ok at very low volume, any louder starts to break up. I used it with a nylon string guitar, and there was just no warmth.

Reliability : 3
No problem as far as being reliable. The notch filter is decent, but acts kind of wierd at high volume.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Not really an issue

Overall Rating : 4
Good beginner amp...may work better for steel string uses. I wouldnt rely on it for gigs.

This was made probably in 2000. Could have one mare channel and a headphones jack. Great for home or small gigs.

Sound Quality : 10
Well, when it comes to sound - this amp is amazing. Very quiet, very transparent, the way a acoustic amp should be. The only tone you should get is the one from your guitar. That's exactly what this amp delivers.

Reliability : 10
It looks very sturdy. I would definetly carry everywhere with me.

Customer Support : 10
Dr. Gardner is being great replying every e-mail since i got the amp. I only had to tight some speakers screws and he was very helpful letting me know how to do it.

Overall Rating : 10
I play for 20 years+. I am especialized in unusual stringed instruments, from Lutes to mid-eastern and far asian plucked instruments. These instruments need perfect amplification to be enjoyed live and the A.R. acoustic amp does a great job. I hope A.R. or Dr. Gardner soon have a web site. This amp deserves more attention because the quality is great. made in USA. Very inexpensive.

Made in 2001. Reverb, bass, treble, mid cut and sweep notch filter. I'm runnning an LR Baggs Dual Source that has provided beaucoups feedback on everything I've ever played through - even with the LRB ParaAcoustic DI with notch filter! Within 2 minutes I had the feedback completely eliminated, and it sounds sweet.

Also has DI out, which works perfectly through the house board.

Sound Quality : 10
First of all, with the guitar run straight through, this sounds JUST LIKE my guitar. Turn the amp slowly and it just appears.

I'm playing a 1974 Guild D40 Acoustic which is so loud that I hardly needed the amp, but it sounds great to me.

Playing acoustic rock, praise and worship. Also playing a Yamaha Pacifica through it (with a Digitech RP7) and it sounded phenomenal through this as well.

Reliability : 10
First one I got had a sympathetic buzz from low G to low D, no matter what string I played on. Bought this from Michael Gardner on Ebay, and he had one cross-shipped IMMEDIATELY from the factory. Second was perfect. Workmanship seems good. Switches tight and knobs turn smoothly. Solid State, so it should take normal wear and tear, whatever that is.

Customer Support : 10
As I said above, the response was fast, but I didn't have to deal with the manufacturer. Others have mentioned that there's no web site, so I guess I'd have to call them if there was a problem.

Overall Rating : 10
Playing off and on for over 30 years. For the price, you can't beat this anywhere. I was actually set on an Ultrasound, since they also make a very highly regarded and reasonably priced amp. I suppose they might beat the sound on this one, but I can't see how. At this point, it does everything I need and I would defnitely buy it again.

This was an amp i baught brand new off Ebay and i paid around $250 for it. I got it sealed and packaged well, took it out of the box and was ready to play. It has many capabilities and has the cleanest sound i have ever heard come out of an amp. It has one channel, active and passive input, bass, treble, Effects loop, Reverb, Notch filter, XLR out and Two 10-in speakers with tweeters.

Sound Quality : 10
Im using an Epiphone AJ-18SCE with this amp, it has a good equalizer and that expands the amps sound capabilities to more than i can work with. I also play it with my electric guitar, also an epiphone black beauty, its has three humbuckers and when i use it with this amp, it gives the most unbelievably deep sounds that are so rich and vibrant. I use this mostly in my room and have played it in large areas the sound really fills the room and as i said before it is very clean and crisp. The amp can go from a clean, sharp sounding guitar to a reverbed melody that goes on and on and everything inbetween. The revberb is amazing on this amp. I dont play too often at full, but remains pretty clean at the highest volume. there is no distortion whatsoever on this amp when i play my acoustic, but when i play my electric i just put overdrive and gain on my pedals and its as good as any electric amps distortion.

Reliability : 10
i havent had any problems with this amp, i feel i can really depend on it. It used to get hot in the back at first but i was assured it was normal, but that stopped now anyway. I would play a gig without a backup. It has never broken down or needed any service, the company has a 5 year warranty on the amp just in case as well.

Customer Support : 10
i have never had to get it repaired but when i baught factory direct it was a smooth transaction and it came perfectly sealed and undamaged. There is a five years warranty on the amp. I guess i would have to say they were very easily contacted for the transaction and had no problems.

Overall Rating : 10
i have been playing for about 3 years now, a period there where i put my guitar down. i Had a fender squire buller series which i sold. I now have an epiphone electric acousic model AJ-18SCE and an Epiphone Black Beauty electric guitar. If my amp where stolen i would definetly get it again. I did try out some other acoustic amps, but i could only compare afterwards but this is by far my favorite, this one had the option that i wanted and the clearness of the sound in unmatched. I would have to say i wish it had a little bit more volume, its a good amount but that little more would do it. I also wish it had some more effects, but for the money its great. Its just an amazing amp overall.

New model. Acoustic guitar amp. One channel, active and passive input. Effects loop. Reverb. Notch filter. XLR out. Two 10-in speakers with tweeters. Nice appearance.

I mostly play an old Takamine 330 from the Martin clone era with a K&K Pure Western transducer under bridge pickup, a K&K preamp and a Schatten Black Box (volume control). That old Takamine sounds and plays great and it translates right through the A.R. I tried abunch of amps before I came upon this one. I had a Fender Acoustasonic Jr. It was heavy and processed sounding. Then I had a Roland KC100 keyboard amp. Better sound, but not quite there. A Peavey KB100--not bad but colored the sound too much. Tried SWR Strawberry Blonde (came down to price) this was a very nice amp. Marshall AE50R--boxy and processed. Peavey Ecoustic--good sound, versatile but very hissy. Fender Acoustasonic 30--not bad but had a slight distortion in the decaying notes and it was kind of weak. I tried a couple of A.R.s in a local store. Both were kind of trashed but I could tell they had the sound I wanted. I finally emailed Mike Gardner in a previous review to ask him about the amp. He wrote back and told me he like them so much that he was selling them. I ended up buying from him and it turned out great. The amp came to me factory sealed and performs as I would expect. A.R. is a small company in Kansas City, Missouri making a quality amp. My Takamine and my Yamaha AEX500N sound full and accurate. Plenty loud by itself but has the benefit of an XLR out for running to a board.

Reliability : No Opinion
Don't know yet. Have had it about a month now it is working perfectly. I would definitely gig with this.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't know about this either. Mr. Gardner was quick to correspond. I just wish that A.R. Music Corporation had a web site and email. Not that I need it, but just for information.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing around 25 years and have tried a lot of different products. If lost, I would replace. It's also small and light weight. I also own a Fender Telecaster Nashville Deluxe, a Peavey Predator Plus, a Yamaha AEX500N, a Takamine 330, a Tech21 Trademark 10, an old Stella and an old Harmony archtop.

Combo acoustic amp, big sound in a small package! Price will be very competitive with most amps with similar features. New Version of this amp is 65-Watts, Two 8" specially designed coaxial speakers with 2 1/2" tweeters, Active and Passive 1/4" inputs, Reverb, EQ, XLR out, Mid-cut switch, Notch filter. Excellent features for the money -- the ones most used and needed. For flange, echo, digital effects -- you'll have to use an outboard unit -- but they are better than a built in chip anyway! Reverb is a real deep spring unit -- not a cheap digital imitation. This amp SOUNDS deep and great! Not intended to go head to hear with a full stack Marshall -- but is excellent and witht he built-in DI out I always run to the PA. Very quiet and reilable. Ultra clean and crisp -- I've used for acoustics like my Tak and for my Acoustic Electrics w/piezos like my Hamer Duotone and Guild Peregrine and Songbird -- amazing acoustic sounds from this amp. In fact with this amp my Hamer and Guilds ARE my acoustics!

Sound Quality : 9
Like I said, I run my Tak, Hamer and Guilds through it and it is a great sound for everything from acoustic ballads to Christian alternative. The amp is loud enough for coffee shops and Church gigs -- in a stadium or gym -- it needs the PA, but so does my electric amp! No noise in operation at all... Does not distort, except at "11" which is of course where you never run any solid state amp anyway.

Reliability : 10
Amp has never failed in two years, even when I accidentally left it on for 4 days straight. It has been problem free.

Customer Support : 10
I have personally visited with the owner and the developer of the amp. Great people. They have been so good to get to know I decided to become a dealer! It is an excellent product from a small company. It will cut heads with the big boys, just doesn't have the name. 5 years warranty -- better than any that I know!

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing around twenty-eight years, mostly electrics in my youth and mostly electric-acoustic guitars now. I own more gear than I can list, which is what happens to veteran cosmic rockers who no longer try to make a living playing music, so they have enough to eat and actually buy a little gear they aren't going to have to pawn later! I do not anticipate having to replace this reliable, great-sounding amp, but I will play one as my acoustic amp of preference and will buy another if I wear this one out! Of note -- manufacturer is considering adding a speaker stand mount on the bottom of the amp in the next run -- excellent idea as I added on to mine and it really helps to get this amp up off the floor!
