Made in Montreal, Canada. Probably made in the 60's. 8 inch speaker, 3 tubes 50L6, 35Z5 and 12AX7. 3 inputs, volume and tone control. Cheap pressed woood chip cabinet covered with a thin paper like covering and thin speaker grill. Rated at 115 volts 1/4 amp fuse so probably about 5 watts output. Point to point wiring

Don't need no stinking effects! Sounds fantastic. Perfect for blues guitar or harmonica. No hum. Very loud for only 4 or 5 watts. Sound starts to break up beautifully at about 6 or 7 on the dial. I crank the amp up to about 3 my guitar with humbuckers to about 4 and it is pure TONE. However, the tone control does not vary the tone. I guess I will have to replace the 2 or 3 capacitors that are in the circuit. I also have some new tubes on the way.

I have been playing for about 40 years. This is about the cheapest tube amp ever made. Thousands of similar 3 tube amps were built all over the world and sold in department stores under the names of Valco, Supro, National, Sears, Montgomery Ward, Kent, etc, etc. If you ever run across one, even if it's broken, buy it. Many have and excellent tremolo and good reverb as an added bonus. May cost you a maximum of 20 bucks to replace the 3 tubes and capacitors. You won't regret it. Replace the capacitors (anyone can do it with the easy point to point wiring), install a 3 prong plug, put in a good 8 inch or 10 inch speaker if it needs one and the amp will give you another 40 years of pure heaven. This is not a gigging amp or a metal/thrash/grunge/noise amp. This is a guitar/harmonica/accordian amp for playing music. They can still be bought for 25 bucks. Why spend a 1000.00 for a 60 watt Fender when you can buy one of these cheap amps that sound just as good and then mic them through a good solid state p.a. amp that will just amplify this beautiful tone.
