AXL Akita 40

I think they amps were made in 2007. I play rock, blues and my acoustic through this thing and it handles perfectly. There are two channels (clean & Distortion). It came with a two button foot switch for channel and reverb. there is an effects loop with a parallel or series button. They talk up the reverb, but i have found that i turn it past about four without it being too much extra sound, i am going to purchase another reverb for a fender and replace it. I use this amp at home, in the studio and out and it has enough power for all. 12ax7's in the pre-amp and el84's in the power amp.

The sound quality is great. I use an assortment of stomp boxes through the effects loop, but it has that great tube sound. The clean channel is very nice and stays clean at high volumes, while the distortion is pretty nice, but not quite getting to that heavy metal(I keep the gain knob halfway). I use a Fender Stratocaster and Epiphone Les Paul, both sound great. This is a great little amp for the price and so far has been a great buy. Only time will tell if it holds up. I want to put it next to my friends 2X12 Deville and let them go head to head. When I get to I will let you know the results.

It has been dependable so far, only a couple of months old.

If it was lost or stolen I would but it again. i love the sound quality. when i bought it I thought i would just end up selling it again.
