4 ohm cabinet that has been through the ringer. One side was almost ground off as the previous owner used to slide it every where w/ no wheels or guards. Currently refinished w/ a naked stained finish and enough urethane to play basketball on it.

Very fitting as it can get loud and overblown or just clean bass, depending on where I put my settings. Plenty loud for my needs.

Very. I was surpirsed after how much abuse had been heaped on this that it still sounded so well and has been trouble free. The only trouble had been a nut that I didn't tighten well enough after I took it apart. No touble from the cab itself.

out of business, although http://acousticpage.crosswinds.net/index2.html is helpful

If it needed replacement I would definitely look for the same model first, then something else. I play small clubs and halls and it is perfect for those applications.

Mine was bought from a well-known Maryland band in 2002. It had
square magnet-back speakers which I swapped for a really nice set
of Eminence's. Damn they made some SOLID BOXES back then. I washed the grille with a little Dawn and warm water and let dry and it looks brand new. I run a Kustom blue finish tuck and roll cover model 250 amp head and a Rick 4001 bass, with a Boss CS-3 compressor pedal.
I'd give my left 'nad for a matching cabinet. Two looks better on stage. If you have any doubts, check out the cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival live. Looks like a Sunn/Kustom sales brochure. :)
Best wishes,
Avery

2x15 bass cabinet made in the 70's? I don't know the power rating, ohms or anything else about it, and I can't seem to find any info on it anywhere either.

I play rock and run this with the following setup:
Warmoth Jazz bass (built like a 70's jazz) or Fender P-bass Lyte -
Ampeg SVP preamp - Carvin dcm1500 - Acoustic 106 & Eden style 4x10
It took a lot of money and time to get my rig to it's current state and I am very pleased with it, I get the rockin sounds that I'm looking for, deep bass and relatively no highs.

Super heavy, super solid. Except for maybe a speaker blowing I don't think this cab would ever "break"

I would never have used a 2x15 cab unless I had come upon this cab. I thought it would be too flabby and uncontrollable, but it is much the opposite. Very precise and punch when coupled with a nice 4x10 or 2x10 it is heaven
