My amp was made in May of 1981. It apparently pre-dates model 112, although the features are almost identical. This is a solid state amplifier. There is only one input, but two channels, selected by a toggle switch. Channel 1 is clear and has a volume control only. Channel 2 is for overdrive, and has gain and volume controls. The tone controls (treble, mid, and bass) work for either channel. There is a master volume control and Reverb. The back panel has "pre-amp out" jack, reverb footswitch jack, and a jack marked "volume". The amp has 1 -12 inch speaker (8 ohm) which is normally hard wired to the amplifier. I put in a speaker jack so I could use separate speaker enclosures. I do not have any idea of the rated power of the amplifier, but it seems to have plenty of power. I routinely use it in a church auditorium which seats 300 people, with plenty of power to spare. The amp has an open back which is typical, but is somewhat inconvenient because it prevents me from setting the amp on an amp stand. The dimensions are 18 high x 16 wide x 11 deep, weight is 33 lbs., but it feels like a ton. The covering is brown naugahyde with brown grille cloth, and brass hardware. The face plate is mostly brown, knobs are brown with gold inserts. I feel this is a VERY adequate amplifier (features and power) for its class.

Sound Quality : 6
I play "middle of the road" music. I have played electric guitars through it, but usually I play acoustic/electrics. I cannot fault this amplifier in any way. It does what it is supposed to do, and has a full range of settings. I have to say however, that I am not usually very satisfied with the overall sound, but I think the guitar is more to blame than the amplifier. This amplifier may not be a good match for an acoustic/electric. As I said above, there is adequate power. My amplifier does not have the original 12" speaker, so maybe that is another reason why I am less satisfied with the overall sound.

Reliability : 10
Absolutely rock-solid dependable. It's 21 years old and still going strong. The only thing that has broken are the little plastic feet on the bottom of the box.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to have customer support.

Overall Rating : 8
I think I covered all the points, likes, dislikes, etc. above. This is a good solid, dependable amplifier, with adequate power and features. It was a good value for the money. But, I really hate brown as an amplifier color!
