AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED, MODERN BASS AMPS HAVE FAR TOO MANY BELLS, WHISTLES, AND FLASHING LIGHTS ON THEM, AS JACO SAID, 'IT'S ALL IN THE HANDS!", THAT SAID, I DO HAVE TO RUN A BIT OF COMPRESSION WHEN I USE THIS AMP WITH MY EXPLORER BASS.
THIS AMP IS GREAT, VOLUME, BASS, MID ,TREBLE, 5 BAND EQ, AND A COUPLE OF BRIGHT SWITCHES. PITY THERE'S NO EFFECTS LOOP OR DI AROUND THE BACK THOUGH.

Sound Quality : 10
AS JACO SAID EARLIER,"IT'S ALL IN THE HANDS, HAVING SAID THAT, I CAN GET PLENTY OF BASS OUT OF THIS THING FOR DOING CLASSIC ROCK STUFF, AND I CAN GET TONS OF TREBS AS WELL [AND ALL STOPS IN BETWEEN].WHATEVER TONE OR SOUND IS REQUIRED FOR THE GIG I CAN GET, THIS AMP SIUTS ALL STYLES OF PLAYING, I'VE PUT JAZZ BASSES, MY THUNDERBIRD,MY PRECISIONS, A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT YAMAHA PB400s,MY EXPLORER BASS, AND AN UPRIGHT BASS THROUGH IT, AND IT'S NEVER PROTESTED ONCE

Reliability : 10
I BELIEVE IN THE FOLLOWING PHRASE.....

MAKE IT SIMPLE,
MAKE IT STRONG,
MAKE IT WORK.

THIS AMP SCORES 10 ON ALL THREE.

Customer Support : No Opinion
THE COMPANY DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE SO THAT'S SCREWED THAT ONE!

Overall Rating : 10
I'VE BEEN PLAYING BASS FOR 19 YEARS NOW,I ALSO OWN A 450 ACOUSTIC, MY FIRST AMP WAS A CONVERTED VALVE RADIO WHICH I USED TO WATER EVERY DAY IN THE HOPE THAT IT WOULD GROW INTO A MARSHALL STACK!, I'VE HAD MOSFET POWERED JANSENS [YUK],A COUPLE OF OLD FENDERS [GREAT SOUND,BUT HIGH MAINTENANCE], A VERY UNRELIABLE LANEY GTR HEAD, AND A COUPLE OF EARLY 80S PEAVEY HEADS,THE ONLY AMP WHICH I CONSIDER TO BE AS GOOD AS THIS AMP [BESIDES MY ACOUSTIC 450] IS THE '72 MARSHALL MAJOR WHICH I HAD STOLEN FROM ME.

plays really well for the rock bass sound i want. has 2 channels, high and low.it has volume, treble, mid, and bass knobs plus sliders for 5 band EQ, a power boost swich, and a BRT button. I use this all the time in practice and at gigs it has the power i need. its a great solid state amp for all purposes.

Sound Quality : 8
i use active bass pickups on my bass with this amp. it suits my need for the rock sound. it makes A little buzz when u push some of the equalizers all the way up. it can give a high and punchy sound or a low rumbling bass sound, the variety is pretty wide. it being a bass amp both channels are clean, and there isnt any distortion at any volume.

Reliability : 10
as far as i kno the people who had it before me had not taken very good care of it, but it has never given me a hard time.

Customer Support : No Opinion
i happen to kno that before i got it it was found in the garbage broken but not beyond repare and they did their own handy work wich has served very well over the years.

Overall Rating : 9
ive been playing for 2 and a half years and over this period i have expirienced many sources of amplifacation and this is a good head. if it were lost or stolen i think if the price were good enough i would buy it again.i have compared it with the new behringer bass amp head and in cmparison this amp holds its own considering it was found in the trash. i wish that i new where to get the footswtch for it(it has a port for it).
