I've own an Acoustic Ag60 amplifier. I currently use it with my Taylor guitar and two Audio Tech. microphones. The dual channels with independent volume, EQ, and digital effects provide more than enough sound control for my needs. The line out with independent volume control is a real benefit when I require support from house PA equipment at large venues.

My Taylor really sounds nice through the Ag60. I keep the volumes between 11:00 and 1:00 o' clock and everthing stays crisp and clean with even distribution between highs and lows. My mikes have a good quality sound. The effects compliment my guitar and my vocals and I've no problem with rumble or feedback.

I push the on button, the blue light comes on and everything works. No sputters no flutters. I use it to perform with a trio consisting of electric bass, electronic drums and me on acoustic electric guitar and vocal. Each musicial his own personal amplification. Our normal audience is about 60 patrons in a local dinner/lounge. So far we've had no complaints of a lack of volume. I do place my AG60 on an amp stand.

I'm an active musician with 35 years experience performing a variety music at venues form 50 people to several thousand. I own numorus guitars and amps, Fenders, Gibsons, Gretch, Hagstrom's, G&L's, and Peavey's. I probably shouldn't even have my AG60 yet. It arrived at our local Guitar Center as a demonstration amp for the acoustic guitar room. I took it out of the box and played with it for about 2 hours. I really liked it so I bought it even though the tech. wasn't sure if he was allowed to sell it. It's not an amp for headbanging. If your audience is into quality instead of decibles the Ag60 is a great choice.

The universalness of it's features make this an appealing amp. 4 inputs that use either 1/4 inch or "microphone" type cables for input, each with it's own volume knob and seperate effects mix for each of the 2 channels. Pretty cool.
Also, the extra mid knob (making 4 instead of the usual 3) on the eq is very usefull on an acoustic amp.

I use a sure sm58 mic and an Ibanez acoustic/electric guitar. I use a light reverb setting on the mic and one of the reverb/chorus settings on the guitar.
I can't believe how robust this amp is with only 2 small 8" speakers. Both the mic and the guitar really sound awesome. I find that using the mic cables for the guitar insteadof the 1/4" instrument cable makes it sound even better. The sound overall is clear and full and inspiring.
It blew away the Roland ac60 and the 30 watt Fender I tried, some of the more high end amps might sound better but it's moot since I couldn't afford them.
This was the only product that did everything I needed it to and sounded great and was in my price range.

I haven't gigged with this amp yet and have to say , at this point, I have no idea how well it will hold up.
Acoustic went out of business about a year ago and Guitar Center bought the name and plans for the products so they are the people keeping it going and have an exclusive on them now. These are made in China

Can't say for sure but Guitar Center would be the people to deal with in the event of a problem and they have always stood behind everything I ever bought from them very well.

this is a real good amp from what I can see so far, the effects loop, aux. in and line out and headphone jack, coupled with the features I already mentioned give it everything I would want in this type of amp.

This is an update to my last review. Since writing a rave review, I had two units fail. Fortunately I had purchased them at Guitar Center and they worked out my account to an acceptable end, but when I left a review on their website, they failed to post it and let people know the truth. Harmony Central is the only acceptable and honest forum for posting the truth and expect it to be posted. Once again the amp had all the features the othes lacked.

It sounded great when it worked. One cut in and out and the other had a rattley speaker.

I wanted it to work. It did an excellent, however underpowered way. Easy to get a nice sound. Two were defective. I still may try another.

I tried several acoustic guitar amplifiers. Fender (Feeds back too easily and not powerful enough although it was their biggest model), Genz Benz (Feeds back continually and the parametric midrange only gave me unusable tones), and Fishman Loudbox (Had no thump, no bottom, akin to plugging a bass guitar into a practice amp: No soul). Then I tried the Acoustic. I remember Acoustic from when I was a kid and I am 51. Acoustic made a great bass amp and I was in a band where the bass player had one. The AG60 has a lot of power. I had no problem dialing in several nice tones. I needed to plug in two microphones and an acoustic and this is the only model that had the ability and it still had and additional input left. Four inputs with their own volumes. The effects were about the same as every other recent amp, PA, or the like. Nothing special, but usable and seperate on the two channels. Each channel has two inputs. It looked like a basic black box. Their logo is the same as it always was. Reassuring to me. Two 8 inch speakers and a tweeter. And it leaned back to project better. Not a bad design overall.

I liked the tone. My guitar fills a small room and a Shure SM58 works pretty well for vocals. Not great, but really good. It has a reasonable amount of power and it actually has a nice thump on the lower strings. It isn't prone to feedback at all. Not a lot of worthless "special" knobs that get in the way of achieving a good sound like my old Genz Benz had. I think it had a pretty good sound, and the vocals were good as well. A PA system sounds better, but this is more portable.

In my life, I've seen a few acoustic bass amps in the shop beside Fenders and other reputable name brands. But then I've seen them in incredibly rough shape and still playing clear and clean. That's all I can say.

No idea. Were they out of business for a while? Where have they been for the last few decades? Are they made in the USA?

The extra features and ease of getting a good sound and the lack of a feedback problem sets this above the others for me. I'd like to see them build a model with more power as well. Don't get me wrong, this little amp put out a lot of sound. The price alone was the surpise. Amplifiers for acoustic guitars are an overpriced market in my opinion, but not this little amp. I am sure some of the higher dollar amps are better in a lot of ways, but this one accpts two mikes and two guitar at the same time!

This is a fairly new model made for acoustic guitar. I play an electric acoustic guitar. I play mostly classic folk rock, Eagles, Creedence, Beatles, James Taylor etc. This amp has 2 channels and there are two inputs per channel. All inputs are 1/4" as well as xlr. It has onboard effects seperate for each channel. Has a headphone jack, effects loop, mono output jack with adjustable volume. This is 60 watts using 2 8" coaxil speakers. Its a little heavy but not bad. Acoustics answer to the Fender acoustic amp. I wish it were stereo. It does have an input for cd player etc on the front.

This has 3 band eq with sweepable mid so you can really dial in a great sound. The sound quality is very natural. I tried the Roland AC 60 and returned it because I wanted seperate effects on my channels. The Roland is stereo and the Acoustic is mono. Overall the Acoustic sounds more upfront and just as natural as the Roland. The Roland is a little quieter. I also use a mic through it on one of the channels and the effects are really good sounding. Very inspirational to sing and play through. I like the reverb+chorus effect. You can also adjust the amount of effect on ech channel.

So far it plays right every time. The Acoustic company has been around for a long time and they started out great and then later I've heard some cheesy amps. This one is made well and sounds great. There was a little crease in the grille cover but I can live with that. Just give me good sound.

For half the price ($349.00) and twice the channel use because of seperate adjustable effects this is a great purchase. Check this one out. The vocals dont get drowned out even when the guitar is a little outfront.
