Ordered this amp to my specs which came with 50/100 watt switch and fx loop and in a rackmount setup.I never heard these amps and only saw one for sale online,but thought I would give it a go anyways and contacted Bill and he was very accomodating.

This is where things got a little muddy-but read on. When talking to Bill I asked if this had a good amount of gain/saturation and he said "hell ya,it sustains for days" so when I did finally get it and set it up it sounded like a vintage amp=no gain to speak of in a modern sense.To make a long story short I think Bill is a vintage type and I usually play Mesa's. After fiddlin around with it off and on over time I put a London fuzz and delay into the front of it and well...Cream type sounds came out of it maybe even a little sweeter! seeing as thats one of my fav sounds I actually really like this amp now. Just be clear on what your buying but I would say this amp redeemed itself in my new expectations.

Havent gigged with it yet but in the time I've had it has always done what its supposed to. It takes pedals nicely and noise is very very low.Also its a nice looking piece,there are some flaws for lack of a better word,but it is handmade and this is usually preferred over machine made.

I didn't give the sound quality a rating cause I dont want to start throwing around 10's like a 14 year old but its all subjective anyway and if your lookin for that late 60's violin tone this is a good start.I'll give this a high rating because it does what its designed to do and does it very well.

I USE A IBANEZ SA 160 WITH FENDER TEX MEX IN THE NECK,STANDARD IBANEZ IN THE MIDDLE AND A DIMARZIO AIR ZONE IN THE BRIDGE,MAHOGANY BODY,IVE PLEYED SOLDANOS HR50 FENDER 71 PRINCETON,SPLAWN QR 100.I CANT BELIEVE THE SOUND THAT I GET JUST PLUGGING IN STRAIGHT TO THE HEAD,TONE OF CLEAN HEADROOM WITH WARMTH LIKE A PLEXI,THROW A TUBE SCREAMER IN FRONT,MAGIC PURE MAGIC,I LIKE TO PUT OVERDRIVE IN FRONT OF THE AMP WITCH GIVES ME SOUND YOU WISH YOU GOT WHEN YOU SPENT 1400$ ON YOUR MESA,ON GAIN CH I GET A BETTER BROUN SOUND THAN A SPLAWN,ITS WARMER,I WOULD NOT USE A REVERB PEDAL WITH THIS AMP,YOU CAN BUT YOU WONT NEED IT,ID COMPARE THIS AMP TO A MARSHALL PLEXI,NOT THE REISSUE ONE, THE ORIGINALS.

IVE BEEN PLAYING FOR 20 YRS OR SO IVE BEEN DOWN THE ROAD SO TO SPEAK.I STILL SUCK BUT I ONLY PLAY AT HOME SO I NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT GIGGING,BUT IVE HAD OVER 30 AMPS TO DATE I JUST LOVE GETTING A NEW AMP PLAYING IT FOR SOME TIME THEN SELLING IT,WHY IGET BOORED NOT CAUSE I DONT LIKE THE AMPS IVE HADE I JUST LIKE TO CHANGE THINGS AROUND,OUT OF ALL THE AMPS IVE HAD I KEPT THIS ONE AND A JACKSON JG2 THE LONGEST,YES ID BUY IT AGIAN AND AGIAN.
