I used this amp extensively with my band for ten years doing up to three gigs a week. We played rock, disco, oldies, and tex-mex. I have always played my Fender American Stratocaster through it. It always sounded clean and I've had as much volume as I needed, never needing to go much over 3 on the master volume and 3 on the channel volume. I have never had any problems with it except replacing a tube and it has been used on the road quite a bit. The group disbanded in 1985 and I kept the amp stored in a closet. I then built a studio in 1995 and have used it to record and practice on. Things have changed over the years and I am now in a Christian rock band playing lead guitar on my old Fender Strat. I pulled out my Aims Eclipsor and have been using it with this band and it still sounds as good as the day I purchased it. I am looking to replace it with a Fender amp so I don't continue to haul it around and can keep it in my studio.

Sound Quality : 10
I use a Fender American Stratocaster with Fender single coil pickups. The amp is very quiet and clean and can be played very loud and still is clean. I use a MXR Distortion pedal and a MXR Phase Shifter along with a little of the amps Reverb.

Reliability : 10
Throughout all these years, this amp is still playing as good as the day I bought it. I've replaced one tube on it. I never had to take it into a repair shop for anything. I've depended on this amp without a backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I've never dealt with the manufacturer.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing since 1970. I own a Fender Strat, a Peavey active pickup bass guiter, a Bassman 100, the Fender MA-6 PA, an Ovation and a Fender acoustic guitars, keyboards, Ludwig drums, Fostex recording equipement, other amps and accessories.
I love the sound this amp puts out, I don't like the weight of the head and the size of the cabinet.(Everything is smaller nowadays.)
If I had to replace this amp, I would go to a Fender tube amp.
I almost sold this amp for $200 during a time that I was not playing with a band, I'm glad I didn't sell it!

I play a mix of blues and blues rock music: Storyville-Hendrix-
B.B.King- Buddy Guy and my own original compositions. This amp needs nothing in the way of additional features. It has an enbelievable sonic clarity that defies description and great "CLEAN" power in reserve.I used this amp as my # 1 studio and live workhorse. I have three(3) Eclipsor heads,two(2) Aims 4-channel PA heads,one(1)Aims bass head ,one(1) Aims Personalized Guitar sound system head(same as
Eclipsor minus "Eclipsor" badging and one(1) Aims Guitar Sound System
6x10" combo amp:really a tank to move!!! I really love these amps but have recently relegated them to studio use only as the road is getting to be too harsh on these amps which I can't find technicians to repair them and sometimes no parts.
I have finally come across an amplifier that can competently hold it's own against the Aims. I have begun to use the FENDER Tonemaster amp as my # 1 road and live show amplification because I can replace it overnight and get it repaired pretty much any where.

Sound Quality : 10
I use Fender guitars with original equipment Fender pickups only IE:
1991 Jeff Beck Strat-1954 strat-1950 Broadcaster-1990 Telecaster-
Franken-strat with Texas Specials and 1996 Jeff Beck neck.
The ams is extremely quiet and well behaved even around lights and dimmers. It operates fine at 105 degree ambient air temps and has NEVER shut down on me.It stays clean up to ten- no kidding! You HAVE to use an external overdrive unit to get dirty and the amp just shrugs and kicks you baci in the shins and asks for more.

Reliability : 10
After all tehse years I finally had a failure......... my on off switch faile just before a show. That's it!!!

Customer Support : 10
I never dealy directly with Aims , but upon moving to the Phoenix,Arizona(where these were made) I have found several ex-employees who have been fantastic in helping me kepp the beasts up and cranking

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing since the earth cooled( 1965)Way too much gear to list but ..when I ordered my first Aims in 1972 I also ordered a Leslie Model 925 the same day and still have it also.
I only hate one thing about this amp....I can't buy a new one.
