Basic features covered in review below. Main features are a great circuit & killer tone! Built by Danelectro, their version of champ-esque single ended unit. Handbuilt, basically, and looks killer with the wacky recessed drive-in era grill. Two knobs yr axe & yr good to go w/ this baby.

Sound Quality : 10
Great rippin' unit fer recording & jammin' at home. Great 'drive at home/recording friendly levels. I've had & used several champs & this kicks all of there asses. With my Gretsch & the amp dimed, I can nail Ron Wood's faces era electric tone. Does just one that one thing basically, but does it wonderfully. I love single ended 5 watters, had & used many & this is the best of any that I've used. My secret weapon in the studio...well, not so secret now, lotsa folks have used it & about 90% of 'em tried to buy it from me. I always tell 'em that the only way I'd let go is in a trade fer another ; )

Reliability : 10
It defines reliable: more than 50 y.o. & work good as new even though it looks like its about 70 yrs old! Had a few caps & resistors replaced thru the yrs. Easy to do, the circuit is stone simple.

gone, gone, long gone is the orig danelectro. RIP Nathan Daniels!

Overall Rating : 10
Only thing bad about the amp is that their not that easy to find. But well worth keeping an eye out for 'em. Mine's easily the best little 5 W single ended shredder I've ever heard or used. I regularly put it up against booteek amps of a similar ilk & it slays 'em. If you can find that works alright grab it! If you find that needs a little work, grab it too, they're cheap to bring up to specs & well worth it.

Circa 1950's, one channel, 30W, all tube. 6AU6, 6V6GT, and a 6X5GT.

Sound Quality : 10
Slight overdrive when you crank it, great for blues and jazz. Very mellow tone when chording, sweet tone and sustain when playing scales and licks. Great amp!

Reliability : 5
Not too sure here... I haven't had any problems out of it.

I've played a few amps over the past 10 years, but nothing I've touched has ever sounded like this... I love tubes! Solid State just doesn't sound as organic as tube tone. If you can find one of these, jump on it!
