New in late 2004, Acoustic combo amp 8"woofer/small tweeter
1 channel, RCA aux ins, footswitch.
All digital- 80 digital effects
Pretty complicated to get the sound you are searching for if you want to alter the presets. Also a confusing scheme for the effects, you need the manual for a while to know what each effect number is for.
The tuner is impossible to use

Using with nylon string classical.
The amp makes an annoying hiss even plugged into a grounded outlet (there is a noisegate which completely eliminates the hiss in between notes though). There are a huge variety of sounds, not really impressed though with the quality of the effects at least for a nylon string guitar. Lots of really wacky effects sounds if you are into that. And each effect is adjustable as well.
Mine came with a defective tweeter which just bzzzes so obviously i am not too impressed with the sound, actually it sucks, all muffled. Maybe if the tweeter worked the sounds would be pretty good. But i am returning this amp.
The bass response is pretty good for a tiny amp like this.

Well the tweeter doesnt work, what can i say? Alesis: QUALITY CONTROL. I am the first person to review this brand new model amp here and i got a defective one! Im not going to take a chance with another one.

I think that if the tweeter worked, this amp would be great for certain select individuals who want lots of trippy sounds from their acoustic steel string. Cannot recommend for more traditional nylon string playing but again maybe if the tweeter worked my opinion would be different.
Great concept though but unfortunately i have not yet found the perfect classical guitar amp that fits into my roll-on suitcase. Was hoping this would be it. If i had $800 i would but the little trace elliot acoustic amp which is perfection in an itsy bitsy package.
