Quite an array of feautes and effects bassically like having an effects pedal built into the front of the amp. It has about 100 different channels but if you want to control them from the floor you have to buy another accessory that costs an extra ??30??? not good when the amp only cost ??100. The stereo out seems like a cool feature though?

Sound Quality : 4
The best sounds out of this thing are the clean sounds. The distortions sound too digital for my liking. I use it with either a strat or les paul depending on what mood im in however with both guitars the speaker seems to crack up with the low E power chord on the clean channel as soon as the volume reaches 1/2.

You can get some nice sounds out of this thing if you use your own effects to go with a nice clean sound but the cheap components inside start to show when you start turning up.

Reliability : 2
Can you depend on it?
simple answer - NO!

Mine has broken down on me so many times and the retailer who I bought it from has admitted that they have had loads returned and all they do is send them off for repair and then when they get them back the company either says the amps are fixed and their not or they couldnt find a fault.

Ive found that the main problem with these is overheating. As soon as the volume reaches that 1/2 way mark anything above that could be pulling the trigger if played for more than 1/2 hour. I found this out the hard way during practices with my band. Best thing to do if the sound suddenly cuts out like it has done on me so many times is turn down and switch off for 30 seconds then turn back on and your good to go for maybe another 1/2 hour!

A bit useless in my opinion

Useless as stated above then simply can not or will not fix these amps even though there has been loads returned! It also took me a month after id sent it off for repair before it came back to me and what a surprise - still not working!

Overall Rating : 3
Not bad if your going to be playing quietly in your bedroom on your own - but trying to compete with other instruments? forget it!

Not a bad little amp as long as you dont try to push it at all. I guess I have learned my lesson in you only get what you pay for!

A lot of cool features. as far as the effects go some sound really good others not so much. but for the price you get alot of toys to play with.

Sound Quality : 4
the distortions are sub standard.I have yet to find that seet spot on any of them. Im used to Digitechs distortions. At this point im runnin a rp200 through the amp wich defeats the purpose of buying a light grap n go amp in the first place

Reliability : 7
So far so good. The knobs are a little cheesey but over all It appears to be built well.

Customer Support : 4
No user pre sets on line. I was hoping some musical genious had posted some killer setting on line. Im getting know where. Like I said if I could get a Digitech quality Stack or Messa sound out of this thing life would be good.

Overall Rating : 8
Playin for 10000000 years.
I own tons of crap. but I mostly play a LPJR through a Fender 63 Fender Vibroverb
I would not replace it if it were stolen
I loved the price
I hate the distortion quality
I compared it to Roland Cube 60 there?s no comparison in quality but you can buy two Alesis for the price of one Roland. As my sainted mother used to say. You get what you pay for!
If anybody out there has any suggestions on dialing this thing in email me.

this amp can model a lot of very good sounds, but it's not really intuitive to find them.
the factory preset sounds aren't that bad, but most of them need some extra fine-tuning to use them. i have an unwanted distortion on many of them which can be eliminated by twiddling the parms ..
there are different default lists around, mine doesn't seem to be in any order. there are strangeFX settings beside country rhytm an metal lead ..

maybe alesis never heard of line6, but there are no sites where you can get tested settings that really sound good. non at all. this would make this amp by far more atractive. there is far worse equipment by korg or behringer that can rely on wide user support an lots of submitted patches for all kind of sounds.

the tuner isn't that bad but also needs some time to experience it ..
standard 435-445 Hz.

Sound Quality : 10
sound is good and louder than i've ever needed.
some distortion models are more noisy than others, but that's what the noise gate for. :-)

Reliability : No Opinion
never had a problem with it ..

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with them .. but some extra effort to built up a user community would be important.

Overall Rating : 10
i am been playing guitar for 20 years, using different paulas.
don't think u can get anything compareable at this price, dont even think a double priced marshall30dfx would sound any better, but of course there is a better sound for 5x the money ..

Formerly the SpitFire 60, maybe someone in marketing thought the word spit wasn't cool, appears to be the same amp. 60 watt 1-12" combo80 presets with unfamiliar parameters, but I'm not the biggest FX tweaker, I prefer the plug in, find a tone, crank it up, adjust tone as necessary approach. FX are decent, plenty of different options. Stay away from the ?Metal? distortion, as a proud Metalhead I loves me my distortion/gain/drive, I tried to get a useful sound with the ?Metal? setting and it was crap. There is a Stack distortion that rocks! I dialed in a "Kill 'Em All' tone while playing along with the CD, 'nuff said. The overdrive is cool for the old school rawk, but I'll stick with the Stack! Speaker cab simulator that I turn off. A tuner that isn't 440 concert pitch, it keeps tune w/ itself. When you tune with it, you can play with yourself and do just fine (huh huh huh, I said "play with yourself") but if you choose to play with a CD or with properly tuned musicians, you're not "in". Can't calibrate, why? Waiting for a 2 button switch & expression pedal controller which was a promotional thing, gotta send in a coupon and wait, could have put one in the box. Overall a good amp for the price, but keep it in the bedroom or garage.

I play everything from a Strat to a PRS Custom 24, with some Rhoads V's for good measure. The humbucker guitars all sound pretty similar, and they very from a DiMarzio PAF to an EMG 81. Not a ton of definition. Strat tones are cool, very different from the humbuckers. As stated above, do a lot of metal with some blues, classic rock, and acoustic jams for fun. Was able to find a good clean tone. I have a heavy right hand approach and with that I find even the cleanest tones break up unless I cut my guitar volume or concentrate on playing very lightly. Useful sounds are there, there's a "Barracuda" preset, palm mute an e cord, and man, it sounds perfectly like the song. Editing pre's to get your own sound is pretty easy too.

Reliability : No Opinion
n/a, too soon.

Sent an e-mail asking if I was able to get the "free" foot controller, got a reply same day. Not bad!

Overall Rating : 9
A great practice amp with features not available on much higher priced brands. Useable sounds and easy editing. Overall, very impressed. Not a 10, but for the price, might be.
