These are open headphones with foam earpads that rest on the ears. I changed the pads because the stock ones muffle the sound a lot. They could have supllied it with better pads. The cable is rather thick and 6 feet long. A bit too long for portable use and a bit too short for home use. It comes with either a 1/4 plug or a 1/8 plug with an 1/8 to 1/4 adapter.

Sound Quality : 10
They have very little soundstage but excell in detail and clearity. They are good for rock, blues and vocals. I like them too with classical although a headphone with more soundstage would be better. The sound is somewhere between forwardly involving and neutral.
The highs are good, not piercing. The mids are present and good and the bass goes deep and tight. It can always be better but for the price I give a 10.

Reliability : 8
The buildquality is quite basic. I don't know if that means that it will break easily but it looks like it could. However, I've had these headphones for 7 months now and use them every day for 2-4 hours and they still look as new.

Customer service is very down to earth. No fancy bells and whisles. That's the best way I can decribe it. They do their best to help you but without the smooth talking receptionists and a whole lot of e-mails that keep you up to date. You ask for something, they deliver. If they can't deliver when planned they don't send you several e-mails about it, they just deliver it later but they do deliver. If you ask for something out of the ordinary they do their best to get it for you.

The warrenty on the MS1 headphones is 1 year.

Overall Rating : 10
I've had the headphones for 7 months and play it trough a NAD CD player and a DIY headphone amplifier. If it were stolen I would replace it or maybe even upgrade to the MS2 headphones. Those are supposed to be even better.
What do I love about it? The soundquality!!!
I just wish it came with better pads and a longer cable.
Overall I still give it a 10 because the pros outweight the cons by a huge margin.

(Wasn't sure where to put this review but Amps seemed the best place.)

Fairly standard featurewise. Comfy foam covered ear cans and padded head band. NON-tacky patch chord (non-tacky was very important to me) about 10 ft, gold plated stereo phono plug.

Sound Quality : 9
Bought these mainly for home demo mixdown. Nice smooth, even response across the frequency spectrum. No apparent unnatural emphasis on any particular freqs.

Reliability : No Opinion
Can't comment. Not applicable really. Headphones can get trashed pretty easily if your not of how they are handled and these would be victim as easily as any other.

Customer Support : 9
Responded promptly and succinctly to my email inquiry, no BS.

Overall Rating : 10
Amateur musician of 25 years. If lost or stolen I'd replace them ASAP. Just great sounding headphones for any application. Simply the best $100 I ever spent on any piece of music or audio gear. The only comparison I could make would be the handful of $50-and-under headphones I've had in the past, some of which which were okay, but nothing worth posting about.
