Real great Guitar/Bass amp. Made in the 70's. This amp looks like an American vintage amp. Has 200Watt output with 4 EL34 output tubes and big oversized trafo?s. Big chrome switches, aluminium strips and a stainless steel front. Also a beautiful jewel light like
Fender amps do have.

Volume, Bass, Mid, Treble, presence knobs. There's also a vibrato effect included with also a chrome switch. The knobs turn a little bit to light and easy, what does make them feel a little bit cheap. The response of the knobs is good. The amp offers two inputs. One for bright (bass) guitar and one for a little bit darker sound. The amp offers possibillity to swich in a stage mode or a studio mode. I think this is a little reduce in output power.

The amp has another input, usable as a direct input to the powerstage of this amp, lika a kind of effect return.

For guitar this amp is with 200 watts real loud. My amp has a 2x12" cabinet with a bass horn and has a special tube at the bottem of the cab for the low bass tones. With my guitar it sounds like a Fender Bassman. The top is a bit heavy but it has one handle to carry it around. The 2x12" cab has two handles and thank God, it has Wheels!! The cab is mono 8 Ohm and the outputs on the amp is swichable to 8
Ohm or 4 Ohm.

With 200 watt tube amp it is very loud for guitar. But it?s not realy much for a bass guitar.

This amp is very basic, but that?s what I like on an amp. It has to be build very well and basic features. The knobs are a little bit cheap. Loud for a guitar but not really for a bass. That?s why I give it an 9

I use a handbuild guitar what is made out some Starfield parts and I play with a Dimarzio Evolution and a Dimarzio PAF Pro. both pick?s I can split to single coils. First I want to notice this amp is realy clean. It is just as clean as a Fender Tube amp. Like a bassman. This amp was basicaly made for bass guitars, but I use it as a guitar amp and ik works perfectly. You will get good dynamics and a thick sound. With my guitar it is very easy to get that smooth clean Mark Knopfler sound. I love it. If you want a distorted sound, you have to add an overdrive pedal or another pre-amp.

I can hear very clearly the differences and nuances in picking accents. Also you can hear the difference of the guitar you?re playing. There?s a nice ring in the sound when you play rhytm guitar. I love it!! There?s no reverb. It would be nice but when you?re playing in a bigger room, you?ll get enough readroom with this amp. The bass tones sound with the 2x12" cab. amazing!

This amp is really heavy. strong metal ampslide and huge oversized transformers make this thing last forever. The haed is a very compact, much smaller than a marshall head but still weights 45 pounds!

Thich tolex that looks like an alligator skin.

The amp has steel corners and the cabs are made off thick wood. I think multiplex.

Maybe I change the speakers for celestions.

I wouldn?t know. I even don?t know if this company still exist

I am playing for 8 years. I?m playing in a Dutch very famous coverband. Check us out!! www.the-avalanche.nl I own several amps. I have a rack with a mesa boogie and soon a Van Weelden pre-amp (best amp on earth availeble), a marshall JCM 800 head from ?84, two 1960 4x12 cabs, fender concert reverb 4x10", Mesa DC-2 combo and a MTM 2x12" combo. Most of the time I use the same guitar, ?cause this one can do it all. I prefer to play with so less effects as possible. Just the guitar and the amp. This amp really shines when you want to play with a good clean sound that has a nice response to your playing technique. Nothing more, nothing less! Very usable on stage.
