This amp was made in New York in 1960 or 61. It has 3 inputs( guitar, acordian, and mic) but only one channel. Tremelo, no reverb. 6v6 output tubes, 6SL7 preamp tubes. one 12 inch speaker.

Sound Quality : 8
This amp is loud for it's size. It has a lot of overhead. I drive the shit out of it with an old Proco Rat. The tremelo is classic. This amp screams but to me sounds the best if layed on its back like Randy California. Great blues and slide amp.

Reliability : 10
I got it from a junky. It was dead with no cabinet back. I fixed it and blew the original Jensen Concert speaker in about 10 minutes. I replaced it witha 50 watt Emminance.(I kept the old speaker just in case) The amp is real ugly but will probably last another 30 years. I love to see peoples faces when I show up with it.

I found the schematic on the internet

I have a Marshall, a 1960 Tremolux, and this beast. What I use depends on how loud I want to be. They kind of look cool all on stage though and blend really well. This amp seems to especially like my '64 LP Standard and my LP Custom.

This amp has one 12" speaker and two channels and two channels one clean one distorted. My only complaint is that the two channels share the same EQ. I would have liked to have seen different EQ's for each channel. The amp also has on board reverb, thus the name reverberocket. The amp also has a two button footswitch which switches channals and switches the reverb on and off. I like the fact that the reverb can be turned off with the footswitch because it increases its versatlity during a gig.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
This is the best amp I've ever owned. I play mostly blues and rock and this amp is perfect for my style. When I was looking for an amp it was between this amp and the fender hotrod. The ampeg's distortion was heavyer so I went with the Ampeg. The clean sound is crystal clear, its one of the best clean sounds I've ever heard. The on board reverb sounds incredible.

This is a tube amp so it requires the care that tube amps require. I did have one problem with this amp and I think it was specific with my amp. There was a problem with a cold sauter in the wiring which caused the amp to make funny noises. However, I took it back to the store that I purchased it at and it was repaired without a problem

I have never dealt with Ampeg directly. However when I did have problems with the amp the store I bought the amp at took care of me.

Overall Rating : 10
As far as the sound of this amp I have no complaint. All tube you can't go wrong. However, whether or not I should have went with a 2X12 rather than the 1X12 still lingers oh well. If you play blues and rock, however this is the amp for you.
