ampeg has been around long enough they don't need defense...
in case you don't know, they made the first combo amp, made the first amp with reverb... founders and pioneers they don't need to prove anything

let me put it this way. if your looking to play kids songs at birthday partys. this is for you, if you are actually a musician DO NOT BUY THIS CABINET!!!!!!! It sound like complete garbage at higher levels. Making crate almost attractive in comparisson. This peice of crap can not handle low end whatsoever distorted or clean. In order to get some volume you need to almost kill all low end so it doesnt cut out, It sounds extrememly choppy and thin. Not at all for serious musicians that play out. And no its not my head. Peavy XXL is what im running and an Ibanez RG. Now I will say one thing at lower volume this isnt so bad. for recording it may be ok. Descent tone range smoother low end. But for a serious band that plays out stay the hell away from this thing.

If its anything like the sound its quite unreliable. But it does seem to be built somewhat descently.

Got rid of this thing after the first day in the studio. for the money this peice of shit will cost used I highly suggest this. B52 stealth series cabinet. close in price New at about 400. Kicks the living shit out of almost any mid priced cab out there, And most of the high priced as well.

200 Watts handling, very nice. Marshalls handle 300 but they cost more than twice as much. Nice mesh.

I dont know what the other guy was doing when he was playing Metal music, maybe he didnt have any distortion on. This amp is very nice for metal and clean. Metal is Loud Hard and straight to the point with this Cab!!!

This is the blue checkered cabinet. No special features that would set it apart from any other cabinet.

Holi Moli. If you play hard rock or metal, buck up and buy a Marshall cab or something loaded with celestions. This cabinet, which I've driven with a Marshall Sl-x 100 watt (kinda crappy amp, different story) and a Laney AOR 100 watt, (I know, another Metal amp...), really does not sound too well with heavy distortion. It sounds really harsh. No great crunch, just a thin extremely harsh distortion. It sounds good clean. Maybe that is what you are after.

I called the factory because I was trying to find out what kind of speakers this was loaded with, because the imbecile salesman that sold it to me said they were probably "Eminence", which would have been fine. Anyway, the tech that I left a voice mail for never called me back. I don't blame him though. Hopefully he is working on a better guitar speaker.

If someone put their shoe through the front of it, I would laugh and put mine in, too. I must say that it is built extremely well. No kidding. And, it looks very cool. Unfortunatley, looks don't mean much when you sound like poop. I priced celestions to load this thing with, but after that, I could have bought a marshall and been done with it. I still have not learned my lesson. Get what you pay for.
