2001 model I assume. This just a basic, straight forward amp. 2 channels. One Treble, Mid and Bass that is for both channels. No head phone jack. Line In, Line Out for effects loop. Foot switch for reverb and channel switching. 50watts, 2 ampeg vintage speakers. Wish is had a foot switch for effects loop. Just basic amps controls with killer tone. Very loud (but any tube amp is). Also, Groove Tube equiped, not sure what type.

I play this amp through with a parker p-38. The tone is very vintage, but will accomidate any playing style. It doesn't seem to be very noisy. The eq knobs don't seem to effect the tone at all. It just simply adjusts the amount of each (Mid, treble, bass). This amp has one of the best clean sounds of any amp on the market. It rivals the hot rod deluxe as far as it sound goes.

Great amp. Would replace it with this amp or hot rod deluxe. If you are on the market for a classic type amp, this one is for you. I was torn b/n this, the hot rod deluxe or peavey classic 50. Found this one on sale and got a great price. I would be upset if it were stolen.

Bought new for $399., the store was closing out on the item saying they didn't sell very well. My good luck here ! Channel switching, reverb, oh how I miss having tremelo : (
More Fender tone than a Fender ~~~

With a Strat I get more 'Fender' tone than I do with my Vibro-King, '67 Super Reverb, Pro-Revrb, or Blues Deluxe ! I've never been able to get that sound with a Strat before, and I've been playing 39 years. This amp is amazing in the tone department. The reverb is sweet, too ~ When you roll down on the guitar volume, the reverb becomes more obvious.
With A Gibson 335 plugged in, I'm in my home zone with tone.

It's only several weeks old, so I can't say. But I do pound on my amps. I don't use any boxes, I just work the guitar and the amp. I seldom use the drive channels on amps, but this one isn't bad. It focuses on the mids, and sounds pretty good.

All I can say is that you saw the other amps I have in my music room, and they're all set up and ready to go. But when I get home from work and plug in, it's Ampeg time ~~~

Been playing since 1961. Owned one of these in 1965. Never forgot it,
but at that time BIGGER was better so I traded it for a VOX Royal Guardsman which also had two 12" speakers and I regret every minute.
This is a Re-Issue; I went into the store, told the man to give me a room with the VOX AC-30, a 2X12 Fender, and this Ampeg; In five minutes I made the decision. THE AMPEG. So maybe I'm prejudiced, SO ?
Never a VOX again, and I've had my share of Fenders, but if they ever
reissue the Super Reverb 4X10, then I'll buy that one too. However,
the Ampeg is "warmer", "friendlier", "sexier". Yes, I too would like to have the Tremolo, but what the heck. I bought this Ampeg in a SEALED BOX. I am not going to open it. It's an Investment. Instead of
Wall Street Paper Investments, I'm investing in Tangible Real Estate.
This Ampeg meets my requirements. NO, it is NOT for sale.
