Amp is rated at 50 watts. Only has clean channel. Has reverb. Tube amp. 1 12 inch speaker .

Sound Quality : 10
Clean only. Great reverb. Played w/ several strats, American, Mex, and Squire mini-strat w/ Gold Lace p/u's, Wolfgang, Gibson Les Paul Studio, Gibson SG, Ibanez RG, etc. I use with switcher w nice tube amp for overdrive and distortion. SJ-50R does one trick. Great clean sound. 100% happy with amp for this purpose.

Reliability : No Opinion
I baby the amp. I can't really say.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I bought the amp used for about $175 and I am still giggling. I have heard several clean type amps..Fenders, etc. and I thinks it compares well w several used Fenders I have seen for $600-$700.

Overall Rating : 7
I run a basic setup with a Peavy 5150 ( good for over-drive,crunch , heavy distortion (which I don't use much). I own severla guitars, a tone of effects which I don't use any more , a Roland guitar synth which I like, etc. One of the basic elements is a good clean sound. My Amercian strat with Fralin Vintage Hot pick-ups or Mexican Strat w Fralin steel Pole 42's sound so good that there is no need to look further for that sound w the SJ-50R. Crystal clean, bell tone (cliche), etc.tone is there. By the way a $100 7 band stomp box goes a long way with this combo. Obviously you could run a good distortion box in front of it and it sounds good but not like the 5150 which sounds surprisingly good for mild over-drive. These amps retail at about $700 I hear. This is about $300 too high.
