Hello, This amp has 4 6l6 power tubes and 3 12ax7's, it has two channels, a sweet vintage super reverb sound and a really nice almost marshall like overdrive. It is loaded with 2 Celestion Vintage 30's 12 inch speakers from the factory! It has the best reverb I have ever heard (I've played a ton of Fenders). The tremolo is very smooth and vintage sounding too. It has 100 watts of room busting power; but sounds very nice with the level set at 1.5 with a shure sm57 in front of it for small venues. It has a very useable volume range (unlike Fenders). I bought this on a whim and because I got a great deal; and boy am I happy I did! I play a lot of different styles in my band and this amp (with my pedals) is a very versatile amp.

I am a Stratman all the way. My main strat is a 1993 american Standard loaded with Wolfetone hand wound pickups; wound to vintage (slightly overwound) specs. My backup is a Mex strat also loaded with hand wound pickups. The clean channel has endless headroom and really has a nice SRV spank to it. It goes country, blues, vintage rock; I even sat in with a young death metal band once and power chorded it with the distortion channel ( they invited me up). I love this amp; I have gone through amps quicker than boxers in the past but I ahve stuck with this one for about 2 years now ( 5 times as long as any others). I'm impressed. It's like any other amp though; to get the sweet sounds; you gotta tweak the eq's....

I've never had a problem!!

I've never had to deal with them But I've heard from others that you can call or email them and they bend over backwards to help you.....

I've been playing for 20 years, I play at least once a week infront of people and often times more. I have played vintage, reissues, boutique, you name it. This thing is in a class by itself; Maybe I just got a really good one; but the way it is constructed; I've got a feeling that they all sound good. A class act... old school craftsmanship.

Two channels and one eq, but it seems to work just perfect! Removable casters. By far, the best reverb and tremelo I've heard to date. Has everything you need, and nothing you don't. More stuff in the line or path = less sound!

This is the FATTEST sounding amp I've heard!! Wow, what a sound. The reverb will make Fender go back to the drawing board. This amp is 100% tube with NO diodes in the path at all. You have to hear it to believe it.....really Oh yeah, tremelo is awesome as well!!! Vintage 30's in this baby too. The effects loop is perfect for any processor or pedal I've used in it. Sorry but Ampeg did their homework on this amp. It's awesome! Also, a very quiet amp with alot of power on tap. Sounds great at low or high volumes. *******TRY a 12AY7 or a 5751 in the first slot for a "mellower" sound. That's how you can also tell it's truly an all tube amp. Very responsive to say the least.

Reliability : 10
As Ampeg said, it's their "work horse". I've owned it for a year without a single problem. This is built better than Mesa by far.

Ampeg has been great with any questions with me. I'v called them to just talk about the amp and how it was built.

Overall Rating : 10
Sorry, but I have to. What can I say? This is the only amp that I have kept in 20 years of playing.

Made by St. Louis Music, this 100-watt, two-channel amp with switchable reverb and tremolo kicks! Two inputs, effects loop and line outs makes this monster versatile. It's an all-tube combo that has superior cleans at any volume, and excellent sustain and distortion. Reverb is deep, and tremolo gives you that funk-blues sound you're looking for!

I use a '70 ES-335 with stock humbuckers>'79 Cry Baby. I quit using my Digitech RP-200 with this, because I could get virtually every sound I needed from the amp, with the exception of delay, flange/phase and chorus. The Digitech was a little hissy running through the effects loop, and stole too much power on direct in.

Reliability : No Opinion
I've not had any problems with it, and gig on a regular basis, although I am not a professional musician (I'm a high school teacher).

I bought it as a factory refurbished model, virtually new, with the diamond blue Tolex in pristine condition. It comes with a five-year warranty on everything but the speakers, which have a two-year warranty, and the tubes, which are warranted for 90 days.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing since I was six, and with bands since high school, and I'm now 42. I've had various solid state amps, the latest being a Fender M-80 Chorus, which is an excellent little amp, but I've been lusting for a tube amp forever. I almost purchased a couple of used Mesas at various times, but for the money, this thing can't be beat. I currently play in an eight-piece, horn-driven '70s funk band, and this puppy easily cuts through any mix if I need it to. The cleans can't be beat for that chiming, syncopated funk rhythm, and for what few leads I do, the sustain and distortion work perfectly. Since I just bought this mofo, if it were stolen I'd cry...then I'd buy another.
