Decent, but not for more than a practise amp. Playing hard rock metal with a band with Marshalls and Boogies, WON'T cut it. I was always buried unless I turned up to the point I waas just getting massive feedback. Not reccommended for serious players.

Well up until a month or so ago I would have given this a high as heck rating. But something occured where after the amp is on for 5 minutes or so, the signal fades, like a bad connection. First I thought it was my cord, then my input jack on the guitar, then a loose cable connection from SS-120 head to the 4x12 cab, then the input jack front panel of the SS-120, then I surmised it is an internal problem with the head itself, (guessing a transformer since this is solid state) Havent taken it anywhere for service for it was only a practice amp for my living room. Havent used this to the point where anything could have gone wrong with it. Kind of disappointed.

They don't even make this head anymore or anything that remotely resembles it. I don't even see the amp that Lee Jackson made for them on their website (very cool amp BTW). I guess Ampeg wouldnt give me the time of day about this as the warranty has passed by like ancient history.

Not a bad deal since it was my first real 1/2stack. I was impressed with the power of a 4x12 cab more than anything else. I preferred my rack rig later on with the Ampeg cab.
