This is a mint 63 Revebrocket, with the original 12" Jensen alnico speaker, and the best combo reverb I have ever heard. This is my dream amp for playing the blues(harp)through. My research tells me this is 18-20 or so watts. It has the very expensive NOS(RCA) 7591 power tubes(pair), my amp tech tested as strong. The vibe with these power tubes is great. Simple amp-3 input channels(guitar, accordian, microphone); volume, tone, echo(reverb), speed, and depth(vibrato). I don't use the vibrato, but use the reverb. This amp will be used in small/mid size clubs, outdoor venues, which is the majority of my use. There is no channel switching, stupid effects loops, extra gain knobs, thank God! A harp players dream come true.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
Use with an old Shure Green Bullet with dynamic element. At some point may use with a crystal element harp mic. The amp isn't noisy. The amp isn't noisy, it has new caps, and preamp tubes(6SN7s/6SL7s), with at some point I may end up using all, or almost all lower gain 6SN7s. This amp sounds unbelievable. The first time I performed with it(with 5 piece blues band), at a mid size club, the other players kept grinning, and turning towards the amp while I played. Like me, they were impressed.

Reliability : 10
I can rely on this amp. I have a great amp tech, who by the way sold me this amp, let me make payments over a couple of months. He had been all through this amp, again new tubes, and caps, bias set. I will not neglect this amp.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Who cares. My biggest customer support issue will find another pair of NOS 7591 power tubes, but they can be located through reliable internet sales stores like KCA NOS tubes, or Angelas. If I cant, and need new power tubes, Soltek makes a repinned 7591, which is really a 6L6 power tube, which for now, I will not do.

Overall Rating : 10
I have played harmonicas for 28 plus years. Played in a touring/recording bluegrass band for 14 years. Wanted to play amplified music, sort of retired from string band scene, been playing amplified blues and other music for 10-11 years. Also own a SF champ, and have a nice 2x10 Jenkins cab with Weber alnicos. I love this amp. It is IMO the best amp I have ever owned, or played through. Have previously owned couple of champs, a CrateVC508(didn't like it), a RI Fender Bassman, a Fender tweed Pro-Jr, a Fender Blues Deluxe(didn't care for it), a SF Princeton reverb. I liked the RI Bassman a lot, my favorite til the Ampeg. There is nothing I dislike about the Ampeg Reverbrocket, it is my dream amp. At 48 years of age, this is it, or at least that is what I tell my wife. I will hold onto this amp. If it was stolen, I would be very sad, but would look for another. Because of the expensive power tubes, it is affordable. I have seen these amps selling for as little as $250-300, up to around $500. A similar Fender amp of this era, a brown Deluxe, or Blackface Deluxe, or BF Deluxe reverb usually now goes for $900, to up to even $1300 or so. IMHO the Reverbrocket is as good, or a better amp. If you want affordable great sounding vintage, the 60s Jets, Reverbrockets, and Geminis are something to consider.
