the amp is made up of 5 controls (bass, middle, treble, gain and of course volume. i have had this amp for about a year and a half now and while only having one channel it still makes a good practise or first amp. The amp is fine if you are into heavy metal or hard rock but it doesnt suit playing cleanly.

I am currently using this amp with a S-S-H strat. The amp is alright with playing heavy (volume wise) but when you turn the gain right down to play cleanly you then have to turn the volume three-fifths of the way up to hear it. another anoying sound factor is when you turn the volume up reasonably high with the bass right up the speaker puts out an annoying buzz sound which doesn't really matter unless the volume is cranked. the amp has an alright variety of sounds in the distortion department as it is pretty mean when having the gain cranked but having the gain on about 5 gives you a "living end" style punk sound but it is pretty crap if your looking for a clean sounding amp. If you like heavy sounds like me you will like this combo.

You can depend on this amp but it is way to small to use on a gig. I probably play my guitar 45-50 mins a day practising with this amp and there has never been a problem yet but if the amp broke down i would just replace it rather than worry about getting it repaired.

never needed customer support because of it's reliability and i cant remember how long the warranty is. I wont rate this section because i have never dealt with the customer support dudes and i dont want to rate the category to high or to low okay.

I have been playing for about 2 and a bit years now and i also own a boss super overdrive pedal an Ashton GA 4012 amp (which i will not rate) and 2 guitars an Ashton AG 150 and an Ibanez GAX 30 (i will not review these either because i only wanted to give people an idea for a first amp). I wish it had reverb which is the only thing that i dont like about it. and if it were stolen i would replace it because it is a good practise combo.

This amp has volume and gain knobs, high and low inputs, and a headphone output and the standard equaliser knobs. Thats it. This amp is really intended to be a practise amp only, and definately doesnt outdo itself. Ive had it for 2 years now, and even as a practise amp it really lacks features.

Im using the ashton guitar i got with the amp whn i bought it. Im running a emg-81 through it. To be honest this amp is used as a speaker for my pc more than it's used as an amp. its got no tone to it whatsoever. increasing the gain only causes the amp to become a muddy mess. its rather sad actually. i much prefer to play my electric unplugged than through this amp, which sux especially after i forked out for emg's thinking they might actually make this amp usefull. ah well.

It broke down about 6 months after initial purchase, the replacement is still going. The first one was never neglected, cant say the same about the replacement though. Only a matter of time before it goes too.

I've been playing guitar for 2 1/2 years now. This has been my 1 amp over that playing period and to say that im sick of it is an understatement. if it was stolen i would be dissapointed as i wouldnt be able to destroy it with a sledge hammer when i get my new amp. i dont like to be this negative towards anything, but this amp is as close to useless as i can find.
