Sounds like Heaven. The first chord I hit made everyone at rehearsal stop and stare at my rig. I Play a Marshall SL-X 50 watt head. Before I had a Marshall 1936 2x12, which is a great cab in it's own right, but has nothing on the Avatar. I know that the speakers would be where most of the sound comes from, so I now know that Celestion G12T-75's aren't that great a speaker. Very flubby and dead sounding. V30's are just what I'm looking for. My amp sounded louder, the mids were just in your face. I had to completely readjust my tone controls. But WOW! Great cab, great price, great people.

Reliability : No Opinion
I'll have to let you know when it's put through it's paces, but it's very well put together.

Fantastic. I ordered my in Canada through Steamco Distribution http://www.steamcomusic.com/ and they're fantastic to deal with there. Highly recommend this company and Avatar.

This cabinet rocks! A friend of mine bought a 4x12 a few weeks before mine and couldn't stop talking about how good it was. I had been wanting one for a long time, but was content with what I had. Thank God I got out of that rut. Do yourself a favor and dump whatever you're using and get an Avatar. Just the speaker options alone are enough, but if you want any color tolex or grill, there it is. All at very reasonable prices. Do it!

made in 2005.I play anything from Mountain,to Eric Johnson,Hendrix,etc...Classic to heavy to jazz to 35 yrs. playing, since I got my first 67 Jaguar in 1970 with my Gibson Atlas with a 15 inch JBL and 100tube watts.I miss that amp,If You still have it Jeff I would like to by it back.I now use a Fender HRD and a Lee Jackson designed Ampeg VL 1002,circa 1992 and HRD is 2002.Both these amps sound friggin` fantistic with this cab.I don`t know what the problem is with people saying celestion vin 30`s are harsh???? I play a Fender AM.made highway 1 and have a 1938 0017 Martin my Dad left me that is a pretty good ol` gourd...This cab has all I need except I`m going to order a 4x12 with G12-H 30`s that he has on special. These 30`s with This{2x12 cab}are deep with the closed back cab,but also very clear if You wish. This cab is still being broken in properly ,but Ive had it at 50percent briefly with the L.Jackson Ampeg and they worked excellent.Dave is an excellent person and knows his stuff. My Hot Rod Deluxe sounds like a friggin` 59` BassMan.

Brutal with my Boss OD-20 in front of my DS-1,but the Jackson doesn`t really need any pedal distortion to be brutal.I also use a Digitech RP-300 and a C5 chorus ensemble with aDD-3 Delay also by Boss.

Reliability : 10
I would probably use it with out a back-up but I have always taken pretty good care of my stuff so I know where it stands.I`ve never used the overdrive on my HRD much at all.

Playing since I could stick a recording mike fro my Panisonic portable cassette in my Goya acoustic and get a sort of fuzz when I played it back, listening to Eric Clapton off of Cream Wheels of Fire.1969.If it were lost or stolen,I would get it or a 4x12 g12 H-30 cab.Oh yeah,I`d be mad too...
