Avatar G112 Contemporary

I got this cabinet from avatar speakers.com. They offer cabinets with quality equal to big names like Marshall and Orange for a fraction of the price. In my opinion, they are actually better than either of these companies. Not too many features here. Just an input jack and a speaker. I had it equipped with a Celestion G12T100. This is a 4 ohm speaker and is perfect if you want a 112 with a Bassman. Of course you can pick almost any celestion you want with no difference in price. Also you have your choice of tolex and grill colors.

I use a fender strat with texas custom shop pickups. I also play a '68 Fender bassman that was modded to an AA864 circuit with NOS JAN phillips tubes. I play blues, funk, classic rock and some modern rock and it suits my styles perfectly. This amp (because of my choice of G12T100 speaker) is very bassy and well rounded with a clearly defined high end and midrange. The cabinet itself is great and sounds much bigger than it is. There is plenty of space for the speaker to move around comfortably. This speaker gives me almost infinite headroom. Of course you can pick any speaker you want. It resonates great because of the baltic birch plywood.

This thing has unrivaled workmanship. It seems to have been put together very carefully. I've seen marshalls and fenders that have been put together WAY more sloppily than this. It seems like they really take pride in their work, the tolex is flawless, the wood is even sanded on the INSIDE of the cabinet. If I dropped this thing 2 stories it would probably be fine. (wouldn't reccoment it though)

They answer emails/phones calls promptly and politely and are very informative.

Overall I am extremely happy with this cabinet. It fits my bassman perfectly. I can even play a bass through the bass channel and it handles the bass no problem. I would reccomend this company to anyone who wants a BETTER cabinet than the big names for LESS money than the big names.
