This is a 2x15 guitar cab loaded with two 16 ohm, 150 watt Eminence Legend drivers wired parallel for a total load of 8 ohms in stock form.
Dave stopped making these a few years ago. He thought/hoped they would sell because Randall was making a lot of money selling their warhead 2x15 cabs, but sadly not many people caught on and he decided to stick to 2x12 and 4x12 guitar enclosures. I have two of them, one wired stereo to use as a stand alone (16 ohms per side), and another wired mono (8 ohm) that sits under an Avatar 2x12 cab(also 8 ohm).
The cab is very well built, sturdy handles and corners, etc. I'm not sure what type of wood it's made out of, but it's not cheap pressboard or whatever other material cheaper companies use to keep costs down.

For clean sounds, this is the best cab you will ever find, hands down. Very thick and warm, but still has firm mids and plenty of top end sparkle. If you hear any break up, it's the amp, not the speakers as they remain clean regardless of what I have ever pushed through them. I was surprised at how balanced the sound is because with 15's you'd expect a very bottom heavy sound, but that is not the case.
For heavy sounds, this cab packs a major wallop, but may or may not be what you are looking for. If you are used to a Marshall loaded with G12T-75's, chances are this has a little too much mids for you as the G12T's have scooped mids. Likewise, if you are used to brittle top end that some 12's get you might not dig the raw girth that these speakers add to your sound.
As a frame of reference, one time my roommate played his Peavey Ultra Plus through this cab with no effects and stomped all over someone else that was playing a Peavey Triple X through a rack of gear and a full Marshall 1960 stack. I know, I was the guy playing the Triple X and couldn't believe what I was hearing come from the other side of the stage that night, which was why when my roommate decided to sell his Avatar cabs to get Marshall cabs I bought both 2x15's from him.
Short version: This cab can sound beautiful with a nice clean type amp like a Fender, or absolutely monstrous with a good high gain tube amp.

I have never had any problems with any of my Avatar cabs, but Dave at Avatar is probably the most helpful person you will ever come in contact with on the planet, so fear not.

This is a 2x15 guitar cabinet that is the same dimensions as the 4x12 guitar cabinets from avatar (i.e. looks kinda like a war head 2x15)
It is loaded with 2 eminence 15 inch guitar speakers, it is 8 ohms, and rated at 300 watts. made in 2002. I only wish it was 16 ohms instead, that way it could match up to my existing 4x12.

Initially I thought it was going to sound similar to a bass cabinet, wierd highs and thumpy lows. I was wrong. It has a very very clear sound. I play a gothic gibson explorer with EMGs through a peavey 5150II. I thought at first that to get a good sound I would have to play it with a 4x12, but man was I wrong. The sound projects in your face, the bass is there, the mids are there but not harsh and the highs are cutting. It can be pushed very hard, I put my volume at the half way mark and no farts with even the bass knob at 10! The bass response isn't what you would think, it isn't muddy, the sound remains clear and bright but then you deffinatly notice a lower chunk sound with palm mutes. It is awsome. Oh, clean sounds are great, better than any 12s Ive played through but that is to be expected with a 2x15, they are cleaner.

Havn't had it long, but I expect it to last, construction seems great and other comments about construction are good.

Dave is awsome, he answers the phone, helps you out personally and doesn't bs with you about anything. I even emailed him and got a response the next day! Try doing that with Marshall or Mesa!

Iv'e been playing for like 5 or 6 years. I have played through several cabinets and amps to try and find that tone in my head. I love how light the cab is, the carpet and the look! I don't like the 8 ohms, but I will get over that when I get an 8 ohm 4x12! I just play straight through this cab for now and it sounds great, very clear, loud and heavy!
