thsi is jason again, i just wanted to update this review... DAVE IS THE BOMB. i swera to god i have never met a nicer guy in this business... he has been so fucking helpful its not even funny. every issue i had with this cab he made sure to fix, and has been more than willing to keep me happy, now i am a whiny bitch when it comes to my gear, but he has done an amazing job at keeping me happy... in fact, i am planning on buying another one of these cabs, the bottom one this time, from him very soon, and i hope that my quirky gear obsessions didnt come off as too negative.. these are really well made cabs, the eminence speakers arent really up to par for me, but the cabs themselves are very well constructed. i took a handle off and looked in there just to see whats up and saw great craftsmanship...

Mine is wired 8 ohm stereo, loaded with eminence V12's, 320 watt RMS. i bought this as a cab to eventually gut and put new speakers in, and quite frankly, i don't know if it would be worth the trouble. one thing i noticed that i didnt like right off the bat is how the metal grille is screwed down so that it sits right on the speakers... i am going to fix this with some spacers and longer screws, so this should fix the issue. also, the carpet has a few minor cuts in it on the back of the cab, and the plastic corners do not line up with the edges well. i moved them to fit, and glued down the carpet, but these are things i didn't expect to deal with on a new cab... the back panel is also set into the cabinet about a half inch, i dont know if this is intentional, but i would assume that it should be flush with the back edges... this cab definetly has its issues, but i suppose i can't expect better for 200 bucks, it is braced well and looks like it will be able to take some abuse

i am using this cab with my newly-aquired yamaha T-50 all tube head. this head rips and was hoping that this cab could help bring out some of the rich mid tones the amp has to offer, but was somewhat let down. the clean sounds great through it, but the crunch leaves something to be desired. i should have expected as much seeing as how its a good deal thinner than your average cab, but the difference is significant. I play in a three piece band, doing rock/indie/punk/emo stuff, and this cab lacks the balls in the lower tones i need to keep up my end of the band. i am hoping that maybe some serious eq'ing can help this, but i am skeptical.

i have gigged with it a few times, and used it in practice at full volume, and it seems like it can more than handle high volume situations. i have not noticed any rattle or buzz with the cab itself, but the metal grille does have a rattle to it, which was picked up through my amp mic, so i will have to rectify this with some spacers and longer screws to mount on the grille, but other than that it seems tip-top thus far.

well, this cab is the best you will find for 200 brand new. Dave is more than helpful, and his 2 week return policy is great. i would almost take advantage of it, but i cant afford to lose 80 bucks in shipping to and from on a 200 dollar cabinet. i think this cab would sound better with the celestions, but too late now, hahaha. all-in-all, a good value for the price paid, and a great cab for beginners, but anyone horribly picky about their tone would be advised to try and find one to try out before just buying one through mail order like i did. the cab is well built minus the grille thing and the cosmetic things with the carpet, so be assured that you are at least getting your moneys worth.
