Bought my G412 new in early 2003 based on recommendations from friends. Detachable fabric grill, loaded w/ 4 Eminence speakers and wired for 8 ohms mono. I installed detachable wheels a few weeks after I received it, because it is a load to tote around!

The insulated closed back adds alot of bottom end oomph that open back cabs just can't deliver. Since I've had the cab, I've reloaded with a mix of Celestions: one Vintage 30, one G12H and two Greenbacks and the cab has really opened up with a wide range of clear top end cut and deep bass.

This is a VERY well designed and constructed cabinet, assembled with quality components.

Dave @ Avatar is first rate. They are responsive to e-mail and phone calls and will build a cab to order for you. They offer the kind of customer service that the big manufacturers like Fender, Marshall and Mesa/Boogie just can't deliver.

Terrific cabinet and a great value! Been playing since 1985 and this was my first 412 cabinet. Outstanding! I've since AB'd this cab with Marshall and Mesa cabs owned by friends and this G412 is right up there with them.
