Avatar Hellatone 60 Cabinet

im not sure how to list the features on this speaker.everyone already knows what avatar does to their speakers so i wont elaborate on that.i do know that it is a vintage 30 with a lower bass response.im not really educated on different speakers and the exact sounds they emulate, i just know what i want and how it should sound.i bought a peavey jd-30 which is a classic 30 and wanted to replace the cheap factory speaker.i love alot mids but other than i didn't know what to ask for.so i called dave and told him what i had and what i wanted.he told me what i was looking for was a hellatone 60.but the thing is, i really like a huge amount of bass but i didn't want it to turn out really muddy.so he recommended the 60L.trusting his word, i had him send it to me.i can honestly say i haven't been so pleased since i bought my texas special pickups.

as far as the sound goes, the lows are low and it has never gotten muddy.the highs are crisp and clean and the mids are absolutely perfect.i play a custom strat and a firebrand sg and i can tell u,this speaker delivers.i played the amp several months before buying the speaker and man can i tell the difference it has made.it has perfect harmonics when driven and digs deep for the lows.it really screams and delivers from low volumes to high volumes

when we play, i only bring one amp.i have yet to have a problem during practice with it nor during a show.as a matter of fact it is on my cd my band just came out with.

man i can tell you, dave is really great to work with.he really is an honest straight forward guy.someone you can really trust.he worked with me and was patient with my 50 questions i had

i've been playing for over 20 years but have really been developing my own personal sound for the last 4 years now.i have a variety of guitars and a few amps.i have narrowed my playing to just this one amp with the hellatone because its just me.i go from the overdrive on the amp to the cleans to a boss acoustic simulator to a tube screamer, i play jazzy southern gospel, contemporary christian, but my main focus is the blues.the true texas sound to glassy slide like derek trucks and i can tell you, ive never been more pleased with this amp since buying this speaker.i haven't had any experiences with the regular hellatone 60 so i cant tell you the main differences, but i will say this, if you are looking for a speaker that will be versatile and deliver on what you want, do not hesitate to buy this speaker.i can tell you that i will buy more and i will tell everyone the same.this speaker absolutely rocks.i recommend it whole heartedly.thanks dave

IT IS A HELLATONE 60 SPEAKER MADE BY AVATER SPEAKERS.....IT IS A TRUE CELESTION VINTAGE 30 (RATED AT 60 WATTS) THAT HAS 15 HOURS OF "BROKEN IN" TIME ON IT....IT ALSO HAS 50 OZ. MAGNET.

I PLAY BLUES, ROCK AND HARD ROCK ANBD THIS SPEAKER NEEDS ALOT OF VOLUME TO APPRECIATE IT THE TRUE SOUND OF THIS SPEAKER. IT HAS A THICK, MIDRANGE CRUNCH TO IT AND SINCE IT IS ALREADY BROKEN IN, IT HAS MELLOWER MIDS, TIGHT BASS AND SMOOTH HIGHS.

IT'S AN INDUSTRY STANDARD SPEAKER FOR ROCK & METAL AND CAN HANDLE ALOT OF VOLUME. ITS CELESTION SO....

Pre-Broken in Celestion Vintage 30, 8 Ohm, Looks just like the Celestion V30 with the exception of the Avatar Hellatone sticker, as scene on their website.

I use mostly Les Pauls through a few pedals to a Mesa/Boogie Studio Pre, Mesa 50/50 6L6 Power Amp, to a BBE 462, to the Cab.
Mainly play modern Hard Rock and Metal. Blues and Punk are also thrown into the mix. This speaker is kicks ass!!! Without a doubt this is the sound of rock, just as stated in the Celestion advertisement.
I originally purchased a new Avatar G412 slant cab directly from Dave at Avatar through eBay. It was pre-loaded with 2 Eminence GB-12s(Greenbacks) and 2 Eminence V-12s(their attempt at a Celestion Vintage 30...but not even close).
I bought the cab. for $269.00, which was a steal. I knew the GB-12s were probably going to be replaced with Vintage 30s, to suit my style of playing.
I put the two Eminence V-12s on the bottom and the Hellatones on the top.

Clean sound is very clear with very big mids and highs...a nice full sound.
Lead/Hi Gain: the notes are very defined. The increase in clarity over my previous setup is incredible. Balls to the wall bad ass!!! Chug....Chug....kicks. The end result of putting these awesome speakers in my cab.: BIG Smile on my face when I dialed up the Hellatone side of the Mesa 50/50.

Just got them, but I expect they'll treat me very well.

I have always had my questions answered right away. Max time to get an e-mail response has been a day. Avatar delivers the goods!!! $79 with shipping is a steal.

The G412 Cabinet is as solid as they come. Buy from Avatar if you care about performance, sound, and VALUE. If you feel the need to support the middle man or fancy ads in the guitar magazines and/or have a large trust fund go buy a Marshall, Crate, Carvin...you name it.

The Hellatone 60 have been one of the best improvments I've made to my setup in years.

It's a speaker. Four mounting holes. Standard speaker connections, cast frame. It's a prebroken speaker made by Celestion for Avatar with specs identical to a Vintage 30 (wonder why?). Avatar takes the stock speaker and gives it that broken in sound and feel using super secret techniques (if they tell you, they'd have to kill you! Well, mybe not kill you...)

I have several Celestion Vintage 30s. This speaker sounds just like a broken in Vintage 30, but you don't have to wait! I took them out of the bx and hooked them up and they sounded just as good as my four year old Vintage 30. Whatever they do works.

Haven't had any problems with the speakers these are based on and I don't expect any issues.

BTW, for now the price includes shipping. That's a great deal. Next time I need Eminence or Celestion speakers, I'm going to call them again. No complaints at all.

The price is ridiculously low, the product and service are great. What more can you ask for ? There's no reason to buy from anywhere else. Highly recommended.
