Bill's review says it all. The only difference for me is that I got mine with 15 inch 80 ounce magnet Eminence Kappa 15s rated at 450 Watts rms. These things kick!

Powered by a QSC RMX 2450 (500W/ch @ 8 ohms), these cabs faithfully reproduce the full spactrum of sound. The highs are crisp and the lows are full and without the muddiness that is often present with 2-ways not biamped.

Unfortunately, Avatar has recently refocused their product line to only produce guitar and bass cabs; they are no longer manufacturing PA cabs. Nontheless, I have posted this review as it is a tribute to the quality of construction found in all Avatar cabinets. I also own a pair of G-212s ... Trust me, you cannot beat the quality and you will be amazed at the value.

Yeah, I know this isn't a guitar cabinet but there is not other place to put a review for these.
The Pa-15's were built for me in early January 2002. I got them on the 8th.
This is a 15 inch 2 way PA Speaker System. The 15 inch Bass Speaker is a heavy duty American Made Eminence Delta 15 LF which really POUNDS out tons of bass. It is rated at 300rms Watts (600 Max. Watts). This 15 inch bass speaker has a 56 ounce magnet and a 2.5 inch high temperature vented voice coil. This is an 8 ohm system. These PA speakers have an Eminence APT high frequency compression horn tweeter on a 5" x 15" horn for projecting crystal clear highs. The cabinet is constructed of sturdy 3/4 inch PLYWOOD! Other features are dual 1/4 inch in/out jacks for daisy chaining with other speakers, steel stand adapters mounted in the bottom for standard 1 1/2" inch diameter pole stands, black carpet covering, large recessed steel bar handles, speaker protection circuit breaker, protective corners, grills, and ports. One year warranty and a 14 day return policy. They are 8 ohm, weigh 45 lbs, and are 29H x 21.25W x 14D.

This being a PA loudspeaker setup, most of the questions here are irrelevant. These speakers sound awesome. The vocals and acoustic guitar I run through them are clear, clean and concise.

These things are made from 3/4" plywood, not particle board so they won't swell up & disentegrate,in your garage or storage shed while you're waiting for a gig & I don't foresee any problems with the components coming about because they are of the best quality.

I don't think you'll find a better, more responsive outfit to deal with. Dave is the owner and has answered the phone every time I've called during the hours the say to call. (after 10:00a.m. west coast time) I've obvioulsy not had to try to get these repaired but feel comfortable that things would be taken care of. 1 year warranty.

I've been playing since Rin Tin Tin was a pup. I use a Carvin PA system. I have the Carvin loudspeakers but like these much better. If lost or stolen I'd call Dave & have him make up a new pair for me.
I compared these to Carvin, (I own), Peavey (I owned), JBL & others. (I've performed with)
I'd like to see a full front screen or at least port screens. It's a minor thing and I've been in touch with the factory about that possibility.
Buy the darned things! You won't be sorry.
