mono and stereo, 4, 8 and 16 ohms, not very much cabs can do this!!!!...B-52 AT1216 very well constructed speaker (120Watts, 16ohms each), Cloth grille, Metal handles, Metal corners, Detachable casters, Black vinyl covering, plywood Baltic-birch construction (not like marshall's particle board cabinets)

incredible, transfers every nuance of my different settings, I'm using a 1969 silverface bassman with PRS guitars and bixonic expandora, you can hear the difference and reaction of the speakers on the the two amp channels with the deep and bright switches as well as the overdrive, distortion and fuzz of the expandora, really, really sounds amazing!!!, much better than a marshall 1960A I used to have, now I'm in love again with my rig...

Ok so this cab has the same features as most cabs out there so this part is a given.

There is a reason this cab is so cheap and didn't come loaded with Celestion's or Jensen's or anything else thats better.
They come loaded with AT-1216's which are 12" speakers at 16ohms each and they are probably some of the worst speakers out there. Though what I'm about to say is sort of nice for these they do sound sort of nice from up close...... the 1ft - 2ft range close...... after that you can tell a huge difference on how they project..... the sound just sort of gives out and only leaves you with high ear-piercing range...... so no good.

It's a cab and I've never had any problems with it other then the sound being terrible.... oh and keep reading.... you'll find some really interesting things about it as I go on.

Horrible..... there is some ****** french guy at the company who basically doesn't help you at all, they are very hard to deal with and very very stubborn.

I've been playing for about 15-16 years, and I own a Laney VH-100R head, a DUME CAB (THE MODERN) a custom built Fender Stratocaster, a Fender 88 HM STRAT and a Les Paul Standard with a few other things.
I would not buy this again... not only because of the quality of the sound, but also for the quality of the construction... I am a pretty experienced wood worker and I actually took this entire cab apart,
upon tearing it apart to get the tolex offI found that this cab is constructed of 3 different materials.... the backing lid is made of 1/2" Medium Density Fiberboard (compressed sawdust)
it also contains 3/4" strips of pine (wich are a rotted green from the glue used)to hold the baffle in its place.
and then the overall construction of this piece is 13ply Baltic Birch....... which is probably the worst quality Baltic Birch you could find...... it's funny how on the site this is the exact statement(s) they make:
??? Reinforced Baltic Birch Construction &
AT-Series cabinets features rock-solid 13-ply Baltic birch construction
yet they don't mention the backing lid (one of the most important pieces to your cabinet being made of a completely different material... and the baffle (what holds the speakers) haha this has to be a joke... just save a little more money and buy something like a DUME or a Marshall.

Built pretty solid... Has casters which is nice because this thing is heavy!
B-52 Custom speakers-- Not bad, but there no Vintage 30s
I think this Cab is nice enough that if you did want to upgrade the speakers to Jensens or Celestions that it would be a good base.

My setup is a MIM Strat w/ HotRails or Epi les Paul Standard>Bad Monkey>Crybaby Wah>Mesa Dual Rectifier Head
I had a cheap Crate 4x12 due to lack of funds (Mesas are expensive!) and the difference between that and the B-52 is night and day. First off, the AT412 has 240W of handling power. Which is more than enough for a beast like the Dual Recto. It sounds ******* with distortion, I'm sure the Mesa Cab would sound better, but this is half the price.
It does fart out and get a little "woofy" if I have the bass up too high on the clean channel. But Mesas are known to be "bassy" amps. It would be nice if it could handle the Recto's extra bass though. But, on the high gain settings I can get as much bass as I need without that problem.

The quality seems to be there for the price... Probably even built better than some Marshall Cabs.
I've heard good things about B-52, so I have no reason to expect it to break down on me.

I think its a great value. Its made out of birch, but they could have cut corners and made it out of ******** and sawdust.
If it were stolen, I would check out something like an Orange Cab or even the Mesa Recto 4x12 cab. But its 50/50 there... Considering thats a lot of money for the latter, I just might purchase the B-52 again.
