B-52 Pro Audio ST-6012 212 Combo

Came in a box with the wheel castors, foot pedal and manual. Man is it heavy!!! Not sure of the year it was made. I picked it up for $1300NZD which is pretty cheap for an amp of this type/size, compared to other brands. Its great having the two channels and effects loop, and a real bonus is the headphone jack!! Although I've only tested the headphone jack once and it seemed a bit noisy, although that might have been my crappy headphones! I like the ability to switch between the amp modes with the tri-rectifier, very cool. This thing really cranks, i've barely had the master volume above 3 and it shakes the room. I have been using it at my work after hours as I like to crank it right up!

I mostly play blues, rock and 80's metal and so far it sounds awesome. The clean channel is very clean which is what I had heard of this amp. Very nice with the spring reverb. I don't have a lot of experience with amps but I personally think it sounds great. I just love the valve chime sound eh, just awesome. The overdrive channel is awesome, with the lowest setting it gets a nice bluesy sound, it sounds great for playing Clapton Crossroads in my opinion. Crank it to the highest gain and contour and it screams with massive sustain. Great for when im playing Whitesnake Still of the Night, good distortion for pinch harmonics. My only gripe is with lots of gain it can get a bit noisy but thats pretty normal for any amp, particularly valve ones.

It is built like a tank. I haven't seen anything wrong with it so far, nothing has come loose or anything like that. I'm sure it is pretty bullet proof. I don't use it for live playing but I cart it too and from work in the car regularly, takes up half the back seat.

Great warranty, 5 years I believe. Their customer support is fantastic. I emailed to ask for info on the schematics and how to mod it for different tubes and the guy sent me a pdf of the schematic and a link to a website that sells aftermarket transformers that can be used to mod it for EL34's, wow. awesome support.

I havent been playing long, just over a year, but I think its just great. I havent got a lot to compare it too but until then I'm very happy. I own a ESP EC-50 that ive put EMG pickups into, a BOSS DS-1 and a Dunlop Crybaby classic. I don't really need the DS-1 now though! If it was stolen I would definitely get another one. There just isnt anything else like it in that price range with the same features. The only thing I hate is not having the time to play it more often! If i could wish for it to have anything else I guess it would be nice if it was three channel i guess, nothing else I can think of.

This amp is new.Purchased through Musician's Friend . 2 channels with boost and Countor control on overdrive channel(including an over-all Master control).This thing has all the good stuff-all tube-two 5881 power,12ax7's preamp,12at7 reverb,and 5ar4 rectifier which may be swtched out or combined with a solid state rectifier.It sports a headphone out, line out(adjustable level), effects loop (adjustable send and return), footswitch included(channel,reverb,and boost functions).The amp also features two 30 Watt Celestian speakers. 60 Watt output. Plenty of poop for any venue. Only thing on my wish list would be independent level controls for the 2 gain contrls on the overdrive channel.

I use a custom built Oasis guitar w/ Seymor JB pickups and Strat w/JB Jr. in bridge , 2Dimarzio HS-2's in mid & neck. The amp in overdrive is "snappy" when using the Strat in position-2.Overdrive is very good(although it still doesn't beat my modified '83 Fender Concert amp).The clean channel works very well-think Fender. Overall, I'm satisfied with the amp.

I've played for 40 yrs.-most of that time professionally. Now I paly weekends-got a day job. I own a Fender Concert top w/ matching cab w/EVM12L speaker. This amp has been modded by Rivera, Lee Jackson,and myself (I'm an amp tech also). It is an absolute screamer. I wanted to have another amp to funtion as a backup. This new amp is really nice-a little bit different than the Fender ,but relly good.
