2005 Model. 15W class A tube amp with built in reverb. Single channel. Speaker impedance selector switch. Controls for Bass, Treble, Cut (presence) but no midrange, but I've not missed it. This is the first Class A amp I've owned and those are the loudest 15 Watts I've ever heard. From what I understand this is true to all Class A amps, not just Bad Cat.

Clean sound is amazing, especially with my Carvin AE-185 12 string. Les Paul, Tele and Jackson PC1 from clean to crunch also come through very well, but I'd emphasize the word crunch. The highest gain setting achievable is very defined and detailed overdriven sound. It's not a sound that is so distorted that you can be "sloppy". You will hear note and nuance, good and bad.. This amp responds very well to slight changes to you guitars volume knob. I haven't found that to be as true with other amps that I've tried. The lack of channel switching is fairly easily compensated for by just rolling back on your guitars volume knob, as the sound cleans right up.. Not as easy as stomping on a footswitch, but it works.

Very nice craftsmanship. I'm sure I'll have this amp for a very long time. I'd recommend a ATA case or a quailty gig bag if playing out with this head. The black covering is very nice looking, but appears a little on the soft side and would probably cut or nick easily if not careful..

5 year warranty. I've read from other reviewers that customer support from Bad Cat is top notch but I haven't needed it yet.

I'm very happy with this amp. It's not cheap, but I'm a believer in "You get what you pay for", so that said, it's well worth it. I think it has a unique sound (that I personally like). It's certainly worth trying one out, if you can find one. I understand there is quite a wait for their products.. As I said previously it is a very loud 15W amp.. I have a Marshall JMP-1 through a Carvin TS100 (100 watt tube power amp) and the volume of the Bad Cat amazes me. If stolen, I'd buy another.
