This cabinet is a SLANT 2x12 that is ready for some metal riffage. The two speakers are eminence legends rated at 150 watts with a new 4/16 ohm switch on the back of the cab. They put in some foam and some other things for more reinforcement of the speaker cabinet itself so it ways about 10-20 more pounds than any other 2x12 cab (average 2x12 weight is 60pounds). This thing is a loud beast. I compared to my 4x12 cab with celestion 80's in them and it is louder than that thing.

I'm in a metal band that's a cross between anthrax and sepultura (a little more "oldschool" sounding) and this not only gives me more tight end but it smooths out the mids and highs. You get better chunck and your single notes are more defined. My clean tone improved to. So now I can go from playing any kind of metal to clean jazz to busting out some blues leads with a smooth tone.

I've only had this cab for about a week now and i've used it in two jam sessions and it holds up great.

I've been in contact with the owner shawn and he's been the nicest guy to work with. He wasn't pushy or like any other kind of an annoying salesmen. I told him what I was looking for and what kind of tone i'm trying to achieve and he helped me along the way.

I've been playing for over 10 years now and i'm starting to find my style and tone. This is my rig set-up: (2) Wahsburn 7-strings w/duncan invader pickup in the bridge (guitars tuned UP to low C)>dunclop crybaby wah>dod flanger>chophouse box> ed-1 compressor>boss mt-2 distortion pedal>peavey pro-fex>hush super c>marshall avt150H. I have the head set on clean channel two so it acts more like a power amp for my set-up. That head finally goes into that basson cab. The only thing i wish I was able to do would be to run two of those 2x12 cabs but because of the way the marshall set up it's ohm's, i can only run 1 cab. Screw the 4x12 cabs, i'm going with the basson 2x12's for the rest of my music days. For the price right now, you can't beat it. Even if the prices did go up, i would choose the basson over a mesa/boogie, marshall or any other brand.
