This beast handles 300 watts, which is plenty for just about anyone. The eminence legend speakers are perfect and this thing is built like a brick ****house.

Sound Quality : 10
I'm in a hardcore band and this cab is exactly what I needed. It's made to push to the limit and take a beating on the road.

Reliability : 8
The amp is still pretty new. I would only call something completely reliable after I've been playing shows with it for over a year with no problems. But so far I have no complaints.

Customer Support : 10
I bought the cab new and it came with a 5 year warranty from Basson.

Overall Rating : 10
Like I said this cab is perfect for what I do. If you want something you can crank, that sounds brutal and is going to last for a long time, I suggest you buy this cab.

2007

From hardcore to metal and from southern rock to jazz, everything comes out perfect.

It's a cab

Features are perfect for me.

HIT UP BASSON AMPS! AMAZING QUALITY AND PERFECT SOUND!
I use this amp on tour, shows, practice, everything. the amp almost has too much power for me!

Sound Quality : 9
I use a Schecter C-1 limited ed.

For my style of mmusic (hardcore/metal) I need perfect sound output as well as a lot of wattage. The 412 gives me both ten fold.

Clean sounds and high gain are all able to be put out of the 412.

The clean channel comes just fine.

THE DISTORTION IS AMAZING! HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY!

Reliability : 10
I play every show, use it at every practice, and tour with the 412 without a backup..enough said.

So far the amp hasnt broken down on me, and it doesnt look like it is going to anytime soon.

Customer Support : 10
The BASSON SOUND guys are amazing, some of the nicest guys ive ever dealt with. I've spoken with the owner and he is the most down to earth guy..awesome dudes to talk to!

Yes an authorized service center is only a couple cities over from me.

5 year warranty.

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing for about 5 years now. I own a Schecter C-1 limited ed.,ESP LTD Viper 400, 2 Line 6 HD 150 heads (one backup), Beyerdynamic Opus 300 wireless system, I dont run effects.

I would deffinetly buy it again if it were stolen or lost.

I love the power and the crisp sound, theres really nothing to hate.

I've compared it to my previous cab, Line 6 spider III. I chose the BASSON 412 because of the sound and power.

The 412 has everything I need.

Just try it n but it!

Bought me a used Basson 4x12 from a local Sam Ash. This thing sounds like a hybrid between a marshall and a boogie cab. Super heavy cab gives it bass punch and lots of balls. Pushes twice as much output as my marshall cab. I liked this one so much, I bought a brand new cab for the full stack!

Sound Quality : 10
Im using a les paul standard straight into a boogie head... no effects except for a sonic maximizer. This thing will peel that paint off nearby walls!! It really takes the sound of the amp and pushes it full force!!

Reliability : 10
Have not had any issues in the past six months. These cabs are built like a tank.

Customer Support : 10
Shawn at Basson is the nicest dude, and knows his stuff. Call him, you wont be sorry!

Overall Rating : 10
Overall, Ive traded in my marshal 4x12 and my boogie 4x12, and now im using just the Basson full stack. I highy recommend this stack to anyone rocking metal or rock. Just make sure you have some buddies to help you carry these cabs!

Ok so the best cab i have ever heard in my life. I sold my mesa to get this thing and my sound was cleaned up so much. Ok so this ways a ton but it will be fine on tour this summer. It projects so much sound that i had to turn down my 6505+ insane. I have had it for about 2 weeks and i have played everyday since i got it.

Sound Quality : 9
It has a very smooth tone to it. i use my 6505+ with it and an ltd mh1000 with duncans and you can hear everynote wich is great cuase in deathgrind i play alot of them.

Reliability : 8
I use think that i would need a backup on tour but forget that with this cab. I bet i could take this out for a year and not need a new one. It has to be built solid in ways like 200 lbs lol.

Customer Support : 10
Shawn got my band endosed with these and he is a great guy gets back to my emails within the same day. When talking on the phone with him and matt i felt like i had known them for years. I got a 56 year with this thing but i doubt i will ever need it.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing guitar for 7 years now and have played tones of gear in that time and this sounds just the best. I am now a ltd peavey and basson player and thats it. I think i might buy 8 of these just to show them off. You know most ppl will die for mesa and marshall cabs but thats cuase they havent played through one of these yet.

My cab was made freshly in November 2006. It has 4X12 Eminence Legend speakers. 300 Watts handling. Silicon sealed joints and speakers. I got the slanted black face. This is a very, very sexy and sleek cab. Its so smooth. I play anything from ambient/experimental/classical, to Jazz/Blues, to some heavier Metal. This cab easily takes it all. Great tone in all genres and absolutely no signal coloration. I think it gets bored sometimes because the 300 Watts are almost never pushed. Also, the cab wasn't as heavy as I thought it was going to be. I picked it up and carried it from my car to my room, no casters. Not to say I wasn't sore the next day though.

Sound Quality : 10
I play a Schecter C-1 Hellraiser (EMG 81/85s) thru a Hughes & Kettner Switchblade head into the Basson B412.
I've played through Marshalls, Mesas, etc.; all I can say is that there is no more. The cleans are incredible, it does NOT break up at all at high volumes. It handles anything I put into it. Every distorted palm mute is like a punch in the gut, no joke. The bottom end is just amazing. As for leads, the highs will cut thru anything. There is no mud ever with this baby. Very defined sound in every gain level.
Before I got my Switchblade I was using a 212/120 Watt combo amp to drive the B412 and easily noticed that it was too weak to drive the cab. I could picture the cab yawning because it wasn't even working half as hard as it could. When I turned it all the way up the speakers in the combo sounded like they were going to blast out the back. As for the Basson, nothing. Not a murmur, not a woof, nothing. I'm telling you its the silicon sealed joints and speaks. It literally takes all the sound pressure and pushes every bit of it out the front into your face. Absolute Genius. Quiet as a mouse as well.

Reliability : 10
Haven't had it for too long, but I have no doubts about its durability. Super solid make. The silicon seals will probably last for the rest of time.

Customer Support : 10
Shawn. Great guy. Great service. Has answered every one of my questions and entered me into their little contest for their new heads coming out soon.

Overall Rating : 10
I am a mad man when it comes to buying my equipment. I researched cabs for almost 2 months before I decided on this one. For this price range you won't find a better cab, and I don't think ANYONE else seals their cabs like Basson does. I know I've said it like 4 times now, but I'm telling you all your sound will come straight out at you and not get lost in any sort of woofing. If this were stolen or lost I would cry, suck it up and buy another one. Looks great, sounds even better.

this cab was made in 2005 it is the black faced version with a flat front face its able to handle 300watts if u can handle it and its mean, its loaded with four 12" eminence legends and theyre amazing!!! ive tried numberous cabs from mesa to 5150s and marshalls 1960a/b/greenback to even mode four cabs nothing compares in clarity or in reproducing the sound your head wants you to hear!!!!

Sound Quality : 10
This cab is the most versitile of any ive tried. I play hardcore and metal but like every musician i fiddle with other genres from classic rock and alternative to blues and acoustic songs and everything in between, any sound i want it reproduces its simple as that it does not color your sound or distort the sound u imagine like ported cabs but because its silicone sealed it makes bass more punchy rather ALOT more punchy and it makes the highs pierce your eardrums!! i will not lie when u crank this cab you will make ur house rumble and you will have your neighbors scream at you!

I play in alot of drop tuning mostly drop c or standard b but at times i play in drop g or drop a and thats where you hear the true growl of this amp when all the other cabs just become unlistenable, this cab remains clear and gets more throaty you really start to hear it get punchier like its kicking you in the face with every strum of a chord. Ive tried everything to make this cab get distorted at gig volume its clearer than a practice amp and then at an extreme high volume this cab still is clear. and i run no rack equiptment at all. the distortion i use is a digitech xmm metal master to get that mesa sound and when i play it thru a 1960a cab its super muddy and hard to distinguish chords from slop, where as the basson is unmistakably the victor of the two the clarity is amazing and beyond my words to explain..

even when playing a different head from a marhsall to a peavey its still clear and still unmistakeable

the cab itself almost compresses your sound in a good way making your bass tight and helps your highs cut through your friends sludgy mixs where my friend is making a rhythym my highs in my lead will cut through and really compliment the sound. and plus this amp really fills a room nicely im not even joking if i use this cab theres no need for another big cab for practice rehearsal or gig the one cab makes plenty of sound so your other guitarist can use a smaller cab and not worry half as much

Reliability : 10
This cab is built stronger than a tank. i dont think that tossing the cab out a 2 story house window would damage it!!! its tough as nails and it will take abuse. i have not had one single problem with the cab at all its amazing!

Customer Support : 10
BEST COMPANY SHAWN GREEN IS AMAZING !!!!!!

i had numberous phone calls to him which he always returned he is the most polite, friendly and knowlegable salesman i know!!! o yea

hes so nice he shipped this 120 lb cab from california to my doorstep(long island new york) for FREE he threw in a tshirt and hat and gave me plenty of phone calls to make sure i was totally satisfied by this amazing cab !!!

he is the definition of customer support

Overall Rating : 10
ive been playing almost 8 years have 3 guitars and a marshall avt150h head and a load of pedals and other processor nonsense this is the most valuable piece of equiptment to me!

i own two ESP GUITARS an ec1000 with EMGS (81/60) and a viper301 with EMG HZs both give me plenty of realiability and communicate amazingly with the eminence speakers they prove to be a lethal combination when u mix emgs and a basson cab!

IF THIS WAS LOST MY BASSON ID CRY HALF THE DAY UNTIL I HAVE THE ABILITY TO CALL SHAWN GREEN AND ORDER A FULL STACK

Im warning you if u try this cab out youll be lovestruck within seconds it is visibly sexy i have the black flat face and the white binding and black tolex. Sonically this cab will honestly blow you away the punch is well priceless everytime i bring a new friend over to play and they hear it theyre blown away and they cant compare with the tone or the thickness of the sound !

When i listened to a VHT cab it was easy to hear the difference between the two the VHT was a little less punchy compared to the basson even with rack processors it just was missing some low end to it other than that i do not know of any other sealed cabsso i guess that all theres to compare, but ive never played a VHT

Honestly i heard about this amp through an amazing musician named mark johnston he played for lovehatehero and told me bout this cab early 05 and told me to check them out did my research and called up Mr Green at basson sound and after that i decided to buy it i never tested it once before buying it cuz well i live in new york and basson is in california....soo i got a credit card and ordered it and well it was a buy purely on trust of shawn green and mark and it was worth every penny to me and plenty of my friends ! I HAVE NO REGRETS EXCEPT BUYING A SECOND ONE FOR A FULL STACK

o yea last thing number one this cab is heavy and when i say heavy its heavy im surprised the ups guy didnt kill me on delivery and number two this cab is bigger than the average cab the dimensions are 30 1/2" x 14 1/4" x 34 1/4" according to bassons page but i never took out a ruler myself. all i know is that i put my marshall on top and theres room left, right, front and back for it so it wont fall so just know u get alot for your money its thick and its wider than the average cab number three is this cab is mean what im saying is this cab will give you clarity and alot of mid to low end bite and amazing high end for attacks and leads this cab has never failed me and is a tough cookie i love it and i know youll love on too go talk to shawn buy one of these bad boys and tell him i say hi

I believe my cab was made this year 2005. I play metal in a couple of bands from minnesota, "Rivkit" (rivkit.net)and "If I had a Voice". I also play different styles of music but it's metal in the bands i'm in. I personally think that this cab can cut it where ever you use it and whatever you use it for. Comes with standard features, built like stone, high watt handling for bi-amping or simply just using a seperate pre amp on top of the head. currently running a dual-rectifier through it getting unbelievable tones through this monster of a cab.

Sound Quality : 10
Schecter and Jackson are my main rides. Using EMG 81 in the schecter and Duncan's invader in the jackson. The speakers in this cab handle everything I pump into them. Clearest clean channel i've heard. untouchable distortion that you can finally understand, it doesn't sound like mush.

Reliability : 10
Just started using this cab not too long ago, but i'm not wooried to it standing up to what I put it through.

Customer Support : 10
Dealt with Shawn at Basson. Gentleman and a scholar.

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing seriously for about 6 years, owned and fiddled around for about 10-11 years. I own a lot of other gear, but that is not what is important here. I'd buy another one if it got stolen given the right price... don't get any ideas. I love the crisp prestine sound that eminates from this cab.

I play through a MH-1000 w/EMGs (81 in the bridge, 85 in the neck) and a M-1000FM (same pickups) I play heavy metal in my band but this cab is capable of workable sounds for jazz/blues/funk. I use a Peavy 5150 II (which everyone that has tried this heads knows has an almost endless amount of gain) and the 4X12 Basson Cab does an amazing job of keeping the sound SUPER thick on the low end/ low mids while not being muddy at all. The cab sounds like it almost compresses your sound (in a good way) and has consitantly good control over every frequency your guitar can put out.

You can turn your amp up as loud as you want, and the cab will handle it with ease. I was disappointed with the 5150 II until I got this cab, and realized how important a good cab is to your sound.

Reliability : 10
Built like a tank.

Sean Green and all the guys down there treated me great, they are a small company, and treat all their customers on a person to person basis.

Overall Rating : 10
If it was stolen or lost, i would absolutely buy a new one. I've owned countless other speaker cabinents, from Mesa to Marshall and lot of others, and this thing leaves them all in the dust.

For my style, this cab is the be all end all! You put some wattage behind this thing, and the doors will come clean off the venue.

Sound Quality : 10
I use a line 6 Flextone II, and I watch the kid's up front get their faces peeled off with the beefy mids and ballsy-ass low end! The EMG 81 is in the bridge with the crazy-ass raise-the-dead chunk blaring out of the cab with such clarity, while cranking loud as hell. No cab rumble-rumble. Just pure sick-ass tone!

Reliability : 10
Never A Problem

If you want the sickest tone for a brutal style of music, there is no other option. Get the Basson or you will be left behind! No other cab is worth the money. Basson RULES!
