I believe that the cab was made in 2007.
I play rock, folk, blues, jazz. I have found this cab to be able to cover all areas of tone produceed by my head, for all of these styles of music. I am very happy and content with the features it has, I always do my research on any gear before I buy it, to see if it will meet my needs, and well to be honest this cabinet meets and far exceeds my needs. The amp is going to be used during shows and recording and a few pratices, but it will mostly stay in the case when not being used. Just like Nigel Tufnel with his Fender (with the tag on it) don't touch it, don't point, don't even look at it, that is how it will be with me.

Guitar and Pickups (electric guitars)

1) Gibson Les Paul, w/ brass nut, Grover Locking Tuners, Air Norton (neck), Steve Special (bridge) (DiMarzios), push/pull pots for coil tapping both pickups.

2) Gibson EDS-1275 (double-neck), w/ brass nut (both necks), Seymour Duncan '59 (both neck), Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates (12-string bridge), Seymour Duncan JB (6- string bridge).

3) Fender American Standard Strat, LSR Roller Nut, Sperzel's Locking Tuners, Seymour Duncan JB Jr. (neck), Stock Fender Pickup (bridge), DiMarzio Steve Special (bridge), with a swith to turn on the Neck and Bridge pickups together or all 3 pickups.

4) Fender American Standard Tele, Schaller Locking Tuners, Bone Nut, Stock Fender Pickup (neck), Seymour Duncan Hot Rails (bridge).

5) Ernie Ball Music Man Sub 1, Brass Nut, DiMarzio Air Norton (neck), DiMarzio Evolution (bridge), push/pull pots (for coil tapping), grafite saddles.

With all these guitars, going through one head and out the Basson Cab, I have to do very little EQing for each guitar.

Reliability : 10
I will most certainly use it at gigs, all gigs we play from here forward.

I have dealt withthe company over the phone and in person. And I have to say that I was impressed and taken back by how friendly the entire staff (that I met at NAMM) was. Unlike other companies out there they were all friendly, personable and took time time to talk with you. Over the phone I have had the pleasure of dealing with Shawn Green (along with getting to meet him face to face) a very helpful and pleasant guy, thanks for all your help Shawn. I also had the pleasure of meeting Victor Basson himself, I started talking with him about the amps, when I noticed his NAMM badge and and realized OMG!!! I am talking to the man himself.

Everyone I met at the booth, I can't say enough about how pleased I was to purchase my cab from them, and that these guys were not full of themselves in anyway shape or form. They now have a customer for life, and I plan to buy another cab and also the head that will be coming out in March.

THANKS GUYS

I have been playing guitar now for 22 years, as for my gear, if you want to see all of my gear go to my MySpace page. www.myspace.com/jerrydpaolimusic. IF the cab was ever lost or stolen, I would first kick the crap out of myself for loosing it, if stolen I would hunt the person down and shake their hand for being able to move tha cab by themsleves (it weighs roughly 115lbs) then I would kick the crap out of them. But seriously I would definetly replace it in a heartbeat. I can go on forever about how pleased I am about this Cab and company, I am sure after reading everything above you guys get the idea.

I play music on the heavier side. My gain is very high and there is no buzzing or weird noises. When i mute the strings the sound stops! The tone is crunchy yet crystal clear. DEFINITLY the best cab i have ever owned!

Reliability : 10
This cab is a tank. There is no need for a backup unless you want a wall of cabs behind you. Then buy more than one.

Hand built in Carlsbad, CA USA in December of 2005. This cab handles anything thrown its way.

Sound Quality : 10
Using my Les Paul loaded with EMG's 81/85 set up running thru a mesa dual rectifier. This cab handles everything I throw at it. My band plays melodic hard rock and it suits me beautifully. With plenty of palm muting going on, this cab handles them with ease. No woofing out, just straight up tight ass low end. The cabinet brings out all the frequencies in the spectrum and truly makes my amp sing like never before.

Reliability : 10
So far, so good. Built like a fuckin tank. I have no worries of bringing a back up, my Basson will take care of me.

Customer Support : 10
Rediculously helpful. Met with Shawn Green and the man himself Victor Basson. Both very professional and personable. Answered any and all questions I had. Best customer service the instrument industry has ever seen. First class all the way. Had the chance to jam on their new proto-type head that should be coming out pretty soon. Pretty killer.

Overall Rating : 10
This cab is the best on the market. Dont be fooled by the price. Usually people associate high price with high quality, definitely not in this instance. High end names like Marshall and Mesa sell high for their namesakes, not the product. Although some companies make good shit, and I will hand it to Mesa, I do like their recto cabs, but they cant compete with the Basson. For the price you pay for a Marshall cab you can almost buy 2 Basson cabs. Trust me, this cab is the real deal. Get yours before Basson gets backordered thru 2010. Been playing for 12 years. My rig is pretty simple. Mesa Dual rec thru Basson 4x12. Les Paul and Schecter guitars loaded with EMG 81's and 85's, Boss chorus pedal, Zakk Wylde wah, BBE sonic maximizer and a Senheisser wireless system. If this thing were stolen or lost I'd be pretty pissed off, then I'd go and by another. People bitch about the casters not being able to stand the test of time, but if you are careful with them then youre cool. Just dont run them full blast into a 2 inch deep crack.

I got this CAB direct from the factory. It is extremely versatile and has been able to handle EVERYTHING I have pushed through it. The speakers are crisp and handle large amounts of bass without woofing.

Sound Quality : 9
I use ESPs with active 81s through a MESA BOOGIE MARK IV head. We play music on the heavier side with a lot of intricate guitar work. The CAB is not noisy nor woofy and handles every not beautifully. My last cab sounded muddy and muffled, this is a definate improvement.

Reliability : 7
The only thing that I have ever had a problem with has been that the casters are a bit flimsy and dont work well all the time, but I hear that this is a problem they rectified.

Customer Support : 8
Excellent Warranty (mines different because of my situation but the factory warranty is still very good)
The company has been very easy to work with and very friendly.

Overall Rating : 9
I have been playing guitar 10 years. I have owned many cabinets in that time and THIS is the beefiest, cleanest, punchiest cab I have EVER owned! Good stuff

4x12 eminence speakers, heavy duty metal handles and corners, this cabinet is solid throughout. It's sealed air tight. It's definately a road warrior from what I see and hear.

Sound Quality : 10
I just picked up 2 grey grill stright 4x12's. I use a Mesa Dual Rectifier Road King Head. This head is the holy grail...creme of the crop in the Mesa line. I also run a Fullton Fulldrive 2 in front of the amp to thicken it up even more. I run that through a GCX Audio Switcher and a TC Electronic GMajor for fx, then to a Ground Control Pro midi foot controller. Guitars are 2 limited edition Fernandes Ravelle's. Very les paulish. With Seymour Custom 5 pickups in the bridge. I also have a couple fender fat strats(american) that I rebuilt with Seymour Custom Custom's in the bridge..all 500k CTS or Gibson pots in all 4 guitars. I use nothing but Monster/Mogami/Planet waves cable. There isn't a weak link in the chain or signal. Huge wide open tone. I'm anal about my tone. The tone needs to have bottom end that's tight, really tone(ee) mid growl, with fluid sounding leads and sustain. Modern but vintage at the same time. These cabs give me all that. The low end is huge but very tight. The highs aren't harsh at all...the mids are perfect. You can actually stand directly in front of these cabs and it isn't harmful and doesn't sound like shit. Most or all other manufacturers require that when you stand way back some distance..then the tone is good and playable. These sound great from all angles. They grey fronts are really classic and pro looking. The construction is so fucking solid.

The music played through these cabs is a riffy heavy sound.....www.echoofsouls.com. Huge tone that demands power and air to be pushed directly out the front of the cabs, which these do. Nothing leaks out the back or sides like other companies do. These are about to go on the road with me and will be used for recording as well. I will be buying 2 more when gigs grow in size.

Thanks Basson for making a premium high end cabinet.

Reliability : 10
I've had these cabs for a short time...but I'm not worried one bit. Backups definately won't be needed.

Shawn at Basson is top notch in the industry. Nice guy, easy to deal with, pro all around. Thanks man.

Overall Rating : 10
Fucking best cabs on the market. In any price range. Very reminisant of a VHT tone...but tighter sounding.

It's was made made in early 2004
It's has 300 watts of power and can handle my Line 6 Vetta like nothing else.
My band (Killing of Mind) is a Hard Rock/Metal band and being the only guitar player I need to be heard clearly. My cab gives me that clarity I need.

I wish it came stock with a stereo option on the jack plate.
I don't need to use two cabs. It would be nice to use one cab in stereo.

Sound Quality : 10
My main guitar is a Fernandes Monteray, w/ EMG-81 bridge, EMG-60 neck.
The cab really gives a good kick when needed.

Reliability : 9
My cab has been at every show i've played for the last year and a half and I haven't had any problems with it yet, minus one of the wheels breaking off.

I live in Northern California so the weather can be on and off. So my vinel is starting to come off around the grill cloth.

Customer Support : 10
I can't even explain on how well Shawn Green takes care of me. It's like family. I'll call up and Shawn will be eating lunch or something else and he'll stop what he's doing and help. I feel like a rock star when I call in. Shawn Green is one of a kind!

If my cab got stolen i'd have to buy another i'm on contract with them. I am proud to endorse their product and will continue to.

This ia an amazing cabinet. The white mesh face gives it a sleek snowy look. The casters are removable if you want to kee it steady, not to mention there durable as hell. Actually the entire framing of the cabinet is durable. I've lugged it in and out of my car constantly for several months, and it doesn't even have a scratch.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
I use this cabinet with Marshall AVT150 and a 1982 Gibson SG. My old Hughes and Ketner cabinet, just had such a tinny sound, I honestly thought it was the Solid Stae head and the low tuning I used, but when I got the Basson, the low end was complimented, as well as a full frequency range. It gave it a full sound that I was lacking before.

Reliability : No Opinion
I used this on every gig since I've had it. The heavy duty casters make it easy to roll on rough terrain. It is a little heavy, so I recommend 2 people if the cabinet has to be lifted.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Fortunately I haven't had to deal w/customer support, since I've has no problems with it.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
So far this has been my favortie cabinet to use. It's perfect for the style of music I play, and it compliments the sound of my head. My only gripe is the handles are up a little to high, so it's almost impossible to carry it by yourself. Maybe that's what the designer intended, I couldn't tell you.

All I can say is my tone is finally cutting through the room. I'm powered by a Dual Recto. and until my TWO Basson Sound cabs I just wasn't all there. I play in original alt/rock act and before Basson Sound I had holes in my fequency respones. Now every tone cuts through the same!

Reliability : 9
The construction of the cabs feels great. We leave for the road every three weeks for atleast two weeks on. They just feel solid like boulders on wheels. Very dependable strength!

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have never had a problem yet... knock on wood. Hince the dependablilty. I can only assume that with such great workmanship that service/ support should uphold the same standards.

Overall Rating : 9
I have been playing now for 12 years. If my Basson cabs were stolen, I would buy them again. They are just that good.

I use a solidbody mahogany/maple guitar w/emg 81 in the brige and emg85 in the neck. The head is a high gain tube amp @120w. This cab is a GOD! Only to be used for the serious tone-oriented player. If you want the low end and mid-range to scream, than you need this cab. Every note is clear and intensified by the shear roar this cab produces. I've used others, but there is no comparison to Basson. It doesn't give the low end only, or the mid-range only! It's the best of both.

Reliability : 10
I've used this cab for over a year w/tons of hours. Between rehersals and a ton of shows live, I've never once expirienced a problem.

I usually don't pay alot of attention to overzealous reviews, but I have never had a bad experience with my Basson cab. It's just a fact.
The price you pay for a "God" cab is worth it. Also, if you check around, you'll find it costs less than a competitor cab the wont give you what you're looking for.

The year the cab was made in 2003.

The cabs are versatile enough for heavy rock style of music, which is what I play, they have a lot of bottom end and when its time to cut through with a lead, you have no problem. It will cut like a knife.

Its a cab there are no channels and any other of the above mentioned for this question.

Its a cab, it has all the features I need. The back of the cab is sealed, so you loose no air out the back, thus your sound is pushed forward. I use all the features a cab has.

I use the cabs in the studio, recording studio, and live performances. It has 300 watts of power, which is enough.

For other features, you can daisy-chain the cabs.

Sound Quality : 10
I am using my cabs with ESP guitars and EMG pickups.

It suits my music style perfectly and my style is heavy rock. When I bought my Bassons, I sold my Marshalls. It has more bottom end and top end and no matter where I stand on stage, I am always in a sweet spot.

These cabs are not noisy. I only turn my settins half way up, but they are designed to handle full volume. I keep my settings the same in both studio and live.

The cabs handle blues very well and is exceptionally well for heavy rock.

No, the clean channel is not distorted at high volumes. In studio and live settings.

My cabs take in a beating, However, construction of the box is strong. Everything is sealed nice and tight. My only problem is I have snapped off two casters. Maybe heavier casters would be better.

Reliability : 9
In the two years I have been using it, it has never let me down yet. I always use two cabs, but yes, I would trust one. Then again, I would like to get two more.

The cabs have not broken down yet, just broke wheels off. Because of maybe my own abuse.

Customer Support : 10
In dealing with the company, I found they are very helpful. They can help direct you in the right direction for picking out a cab for your style. I spoke personnally with Victor Basson, that's really cool, he is the President.

Yes, the two times I broke a wheel they sent me a new one to replace it. Yes the repair was done under warranty.

Through the Internet, yes, I was able to find a service center.

The warranty maybe 1 year?

Overall Rating : 9
I have been playing for a long time. The other gear I have is ESP guitars, EMG pickups, Peterson Strobe Tuners, Hipshot D-Tuners, Dean Markley strings, Levy Guitar straps, Dunlope effects, RockTron effects, RoadReady cases, Ground control, Langer pre amp, and mesa boogie power amp.

If it were stolen or lost, I would buy it again and would be very upset if it were stolen.

I love how it sounds, but I hate the wheel snapping off.

Yes, I have compared Bassons to Marshall, Mesa Boogie, and Randall. I choose this one because nothing sounds better then Basson speaker cabs.

The only thing I wish it had was heavy casters.

I would like to add every night I play, I get people that come up to me and ask me about my tone and the cabs I play on. I smile and say they are the best I've ever heard.
