3 channel, all tube, 150W (too much for OAPs like myself) It scares away the birds in my garden.

Sound Quality : 6
My style is goregrind and brutal death metal.

Compared to a UM300 behringer pedal going into a SS amp or one of those little spider amps, this isn't much different but considering the price it's a sturdy combo. I'm sort of wondering why I ever bothered with a tube amp for metal since cheap digital effects are virtually as good.

The amp is not too noisy (I'm using EMG 707s) and the clean channel stays clean. The lead channel doesn't have enough gain for death metal. It does fine for popular metal music though. The crunch channel is nice and you can get some nice gentle rock tones. This aspect is better than a designated distortion pedal. I think this is where the amp stands out - that point and the unbelievable noise it makes when you turn the volume up. I nearly swallowed my false teeth.

I'd recommend this amp to teenagers who like popular metal. It's a great first amp but if you have ever owned a tube amp before you might want to think twice about this thing. The tone is not so finely balanced.

Reliability : 4
Don't know yet but the knobs on the front are extremely flimsy, I'm afraid to turn them for fear of them falling off. The rest of the amp looks and feels fairly sturdy but those knobs are dreadful.

It is really heavy too, I had to use my stena stairlift to get it up to my bedroom.

This is pretty much a disposable amp at the price I paid for it. Two weeks pension money.

It's an average amp. You get what you pay for sonny boy.

Overall Rating : 7
I probably wouldn't buy another one. I just got it to see if it was worth moving away from distortion pedals and by the looks of it, it probably isn't.

If I was young again and a kid playing in a band, this would have been perfect, but I'm old and I have no contact with the general public anymore.

Less than a year old. I believe released to U.S. sometime late 2007. I play a little bit of everything and this amp can do a GREAT job with different styles of music!

It has Three channels: Clean, Crunch, ultra, REVERB and a built In noise gate. Some people reviewed that the NOISE gate does nothing... Well, the noise gate on mine works just FANTASTIC!!! No noise at all when the distortion is really cranked!!! So sweet!! Its bassed on the Peavy JSX from what I have been told. It has an effects loop and A very nice heavy duty 4 button footswitch for the clean, crunch, lead, and fx loop! Came stock with EL34 tubes and is switchable to 6L6 but I would mos def. leave the el34's in! Sounds killer! 120 watts!

I like to play lots of different styles of music. This amp is great!! Its not noisy at all! The amps crunch channel is great! You can get lots of different sounds. The lead channel (ultra) is so sweet when you scoop the mids! It has some of the best sounding low end i have heard come out of a tube amp!! The clean with the reverb is just great!! Very nice, high headroom clean sounds!!! The distortion tho is just overall fantastic!

Amps I own:
1. Mesa Boogie triple rectifier (three channel)
2. Peavy Ultra Plus 120
3. Orange Tiny terry 15/7 watt
4. Blackheart Little Giant 5watt

The cab that I own is a Marshall 1960 w/ Vintage 30's!

The amp has such its own voice, I LOVE IT!!!!

Reliability : No Opinion
Just got it. Its made in china, who knows. Behringer is the company that is selling Bugera's products (amps) and it has a 1 year manufacture warranty. Seems built very good. Only thing that I really dislike is the fact that the amp has PLASTIC knobs!!! Thats right plastic! My mesa has metal knobs... O well. Works perfect still and looks very stylish!!

1 Year warranty, Behringer seems to be good people. I called once with questions and the guy was right there to answer all of them!

I have been playing for 5 years and I have a good taste of what I think sounds good! I own a small Tube amp collection and this thing is so sweet! I could not ask for more in an amp for what I paid for this 333xl! If it were stolen I would be pissed. Who wouldnt be?? I love that the amp sounds as good as it looks. I was a little worried right before I pluged my Dean Vendetta 3.0 neck through body with a Seymour Duncan jb bridge pickup in. I didnt know what to expect. But I can honestly say I am blown away with how awsome the amp is!!!
