This amp is brand new, I recieved it today 11-05-02. It is a two channel amp with footswitch serving to enable or disable effects as well. It also has an effects loop and many other features. This 60 watt hybrid, (tube pre amp / solid state from there on)has plenty of power in my opinion, although I haven't had a chance to play it out, I can sense it.

Sound Quality : 10
I have three electrics but have only played it through my main guitar,a stunningly beautiful Cort CL 1500 with Alnico pickups. Just thought I'd throw in that plug foravery sweet chambered beauty.
Back to the AC 112, it is quiet as a church mouse whether I am using the clean or distorted channel. What has really amazed me is that while being so quiet and apparently mild mannered, this amp growls, snarls and bites like a junk yard dog! I must tell you, this amp is on standby for only one reason, to kick ass! I'm in love with this amp and it's only been a few hours. While in overdrive mode, you can mute the strings and experience total silence. Start to play and it's like unleashing a dog on the mailman. Lot's of screaming. The clean channel is also great for numerous reasons.

Reliability : 10
Too new to know. From the looks of this finely crafted shiny chromed out monster, I'd say it will last a long long time. Workmanship is remarkable.

Haven't had the need for customer support, but dealing with samedaymusic, was a very pleasant experience. These people seem to thrive on customer service. I will use them again,samedaymusic.com

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing guitar for 26 years. I own 8 guitars and three amps. I play acousticand electric and love good tone. I am so impressed with the AC 112, I wish no one else knew about it. It's like finding a treasure of some sort. But since the amp is available to all who would want it, I have one only one thing to say. This amp is far and away the best you can do for the money and even several hundred dollars more. This amp is an ass kicker which is everything it's been advertised to be and more. For me it was love at first bite. I always dreamed of a Mesa Boogie Rectoverb in my life, but I think this fits that billing and moreso. I'm very happy.

Two channels is good. Tube preamp works good compared to soid state. Digital effects are excellent. I wish I could mix them myself but for the price it beats the compition. Aux in is usefull for a tape or CD. Headphone jack. 65 watts with a twelve inch has guts. Comes with a foot switch at no extra charge, not like other amps. Stereo line output.

Sound Quality : 8
This amp has guts. Powerfull rythum crunch. Did a side by side at a guitar store next to a $549 Fender 40w 12" all tube Hot Rod Deluxe and a $699 ?w 12" all tube Marshall and the Behringer kicked their butts with excellent rythum and lead tone. Very strong and powerfull sounding. Only problem is that I took it to band rehersal and it lacked midrange honk to cut through the live mix. Too bad. I had the treble and midrange cranked and the bass all the way down but to no avail. I sent it back. I bought a $389 15w 12" all tube Fender Blues Jr. and I'm trying it out now. It has more midrange honk which might cut through the live mix. I haven't tried it yet with the band. Standing along it really doesn't sound that great because of the midrange but may mix well with the band.

Reliability : 5
On the second day I had it, after about an hour of playing it made a loud farting sound for about two seconds and then went dead except for the front panel lights. I cycled the power and it came alive. This happened again after about ten minutes and repeated another five or six times until I finally just shut it off for the day. For the remaining week I had it, it never happened again?

Customer Support : No Opinion
I had 45 days to send it back to Musicians Friend for a full refund, which I did, with an attached note about the farting.

Overall Rating : 8
For $249.00! it rates very high compared to Fender, Marshall and Crate. If it didn't have a problem as I mention I would have bumped it up a notch. Tube preamp is nice. Maybe the tone might work better for your personal taste.

2002 60w guitar amp with digital multi-effects and channel switching. Single 12" jensen speaker. Tube in the preamp section. I bought this amp to reduce some pedal clutter in the rehersal studio. When using the internal effects, a delay is created when switching between channels - this seems like it lasts forever (probably about 1 -2 seconds) So I keep the effects section off (which eliminates the delay) and bring all the pedals I thought I would keep home. The effects are varied and programmable, but I have not used them in a real situation.

Sound Quality : 7
I use a 62 Strat reissue and an Ibanez S series into a ColdFusion overdrive to the amp. In the loop I use H&K replex and rotosphere. The amp is loud enough for small bar or club gigs and really starts to kick in with the volume at 3/4 up. When pushing the amp, it appears to run out of breath, compressing the dynamics until you give it a break. I would not use this outside of a rehersal setting except as an emergency backup but thats what I bought it for and it generally sounds great for the price.

Reliability : 7
After 3 or 4 months of twice a week use the amp has developed a low hum and also some random pops and crackles.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have not used the customer service

Overall Rating : 8
This amp is great as a beginning amp or for practice and sounds much better than my Peavey Bandit 65, which it replaced. I based my purchase on price and the included effects unit (which I do not use - see above). My main amp is a Mesa Boogie with a single 12.

All of em.

Jap tele, 1965 Sivertone Silhouette, Fender Flame. Silvertone and Flame stock pickups, my tele is sporting EMG tele set with their stock electronics. I like to play everything from CSNY to Andy Sommers and this amp can dial it all. I have stopped using most of my other gadgets and run everything straight from the amps. (I bought one and liked it so much I bought another AND the midi foot pedal and now run them stereo. The clean channel stays clean at high volume and the distortion is as brutal as you want it to be.

Reliability : No Opinion
Since I run two amps I never worry about not being able to play cuz of amp death. They seem very reliable although I have only owned them and played them for about 4 months.

I had a hard time locating a footcontroller for these amps from the "music superstore" I purchased the amps from. Had to call the company, who referred me to their sales rep who, in turn, gave me the number of a store very near me who had one.
Have not had to find a service center as yet. Hopefully no time soon.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing since high school (a very long time...) and I have gone through alot of different guitars and amplifiers over the years-these amps do everything I have asked so far and I probably have alot more to get from them. From a die-hard Fender amp user to some short stint using Peavey and back to Fender then Seymour Duncan then Budda for all my very different uses, I have found that these amps do EVERYTHING I need and a price I still can't believe. No, I am not getting paid to endorse these amps-I think I am in love.
If I had to say something negative, there is a slight delay in sound when you switch from clean to overdrive. This may only be in the foot switches that came with them. I haven't had a chance to utilize the midi foot controller as yet so hopefully this little delay will go away. I WILL be back later to report on the foot controller...

One interesting feature is the footswitch... You press it and it mutes the volume for a while before it changes channel... Horrible for live stage use. We've had to resort to using my old DOD pedal for dirty sounds :O

Made in Germany in 2002. Versatile for nearly all styles of music except if you are looking for dripping distortion for nu-metal. Two channels: clean and overdriven (selectable with included footswitch). Effects loop, auxillary in, midi capable, stereo line outs, 60w, 12" Jensen speaker, 99 effects (about 30 different ones with special types of each), and one 12AX7 tube.

Sound Quality : 10
I play with a JD-R with the kramer Quadrail pups installed by me. Sounds smooth and crunchy (whilst playing with the tone knob) on all configurations. Just tried it out for the first time at Jazz band and it could get practically whatever sound floats your boat. Even snuck in an organ type sound using the delay/flange setting. The overdrive channel is real nice. Its not extremely raunchy, but gets that classic hard rock/early metal sound outta it. If you are looking for a certain sound, you can most likely pull it off using this amp.

Reliability : No Opinion
well, ive only had for about 4 hours, so this category is a tad inconclusive. Unlike some other amps though, it didnt let one rip when i turned past 7 and the clean didnt break up at higher volumes.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Havent had to deal with them, and I hope I never have to. (Meaning this amp will survive)

Overall Rating : 9
I'd say this is one hell of an amp, buck-for-buck. Good for 98% of the sounds you are looking for. I've been playing for over 5 years, and I must say, out of my 5 amps, this one is the best.

I use a standard tele with the amp and it sounds amazing. The clean tone is crystal and pristine, not to mention it has a nice warm tube compression. The overdrive can be dialed to anything from a subtle warm distortion to a nice tube crunch to some nice heavy distortion. All this and the amp is very quiet. I've experienced no hum or buzz at all, and my guitar has single coils! The digital effects are equally impressive. They sound so crisp and clear, that you'd think that you're using a real pedal(s). The only problem with the effects are that they can be rather confusing to setup at first, but not to the point that it overwhelms you. As far as the volume levels go, I'm not exactly sure how loud this thing gets, since I've never taken it out of my bedroom. However, I imagine it can get loud. I have clean and overdrive levels both at 10 and master at 3.5, and that is more than sufficient for use in a bedroom. The master volume is a little sensitive too. Overall, I was very impressed with the sound quality, especially the effects.

Reliability : No Opinion
I haven't had the amp for very long, and I have had no problems with it. The only thing that concerns me a bit is that the amp can feel rather warm to the touch after playing a while. The only place that feels warm though is on the metal parts with the controls. I'm really not sure if this is normal. It could be the tube creating the heat, but I've never had an amp with a tube in it so I'm not sure. If anyone knows please post an answer in a review for me or E-mail me at: saucerfulofsecrets@hotmail.com

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't dealt with them, since the amp hasn't caused me any problems.

Overall Rating : 10
Overall, this is the absolute best amp in it's price range that I've seen. I spent several weeks comparing amps at several music stores and on internet music stores (www.musiciansfriend.com). This amp is incredibley cheaply priced. I can't believe this thing only costs $290. It's definitely worth at least $400. I'd definitely be willing to pay that, if not more. The amp is very sturdy and made with the utmost attention to detail, with the finest products and materials available. I highly reccomend this amp.

2002 i think kinda versatile if you just have the standard footswitch
2 channels clean and overdrive footswitchable headphones f/x loop built in effects and lots of presets wich are tweakable 60 watts solid state it would be better if you could footswitch through all of the effects without having to buy a midi pedal

Sound Quality : 10
sounded great with my strat [humbucker in bridge stock single coil in middle and gold lace sensor in neck] wonderful round full clean sound
really kickin over drive nice effects you can asign one preset tweaked the way you like it for each channlel and turn that effect on and off with the footswitch so you can have four good sounds at your foottip
without external effects

Reliability : 2
heres where my problem came in I had it less than 2 weeks and the fist time I crank it up was the last time I used it cause it blew
I dont think i did anything wrong i put the master on 10 and clean channel on 8 hit 3 hard chords and buzzzzszzzszchkeeszz thats all she wrote thats why she is all packed up waiting for fedex to take her back to music 123 where they will take her back and send me a new marshall yeah id rather pay a little more for something i know i can count on

Customer Support : No Opinion
didnt mess with behringer but music 123 is cool a little slow but theyll come through

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I guess if you dont want to be heard over drums or other guitars or evan be as loud as they are you do well here but Ill stick with marshall or fender thankyou my twinn would crank on ten all night but never needed too

I believe this amp was made in 2002 and is new in the UK. It is 60 watts, has 2 channels with tube circuitry (clean and overdrive channels) and also has a built in 25 bit sound processor for built in effects, with 32 types and 99 prests/user numbers. Each Channel has volume, teble, mid and bass control with channel 2 also having gain, globally there is Aux in level, presence, effect a, effect b and master volume.

A little confusing at first, the amp is 2 channels and has 99 effects that are user editable to change varying relevant factors such as speed, gain or delay time. 1 effect can be chosen for each channel at one time, channel switching via the footpedal (supplied and very sturdy) or effect on off (the amp remebers on off status for each channel)

Also is Midi compatible which great increases the live flexibilty but I have explored that avenue yet.

Something that is cool, the aux in for CD players etc in combination with the effects loop allow for a parallel or serial loop......relatively good sounding in both modes too!!

Sound Quality : 9
Excellent...and quality in two words!! I guess it IS a digital amp......but compared with the line 6 range and the recent vox amps it seems a little short on features......but the sound quiality is amazing, to my ears anyway...I would recommend anyone interested actually hears this amp before they buy it, but the more you listen and compare it...the more you appreciate the quallity not quantity attitude that seems toi have been adopted. All of the modulation effects seem sapcey and airy, not grainy like some line 6 amps, and the delays are just handsome.....perfect for the type of music I play (anything from light rock ala Fleetwood Mac to Iron Maiden and everythign inbetween). There is not much hiss, until full overdrive is on and then its easily manageable compared to other amps, the eqs are not overly responsive but I have found the amp seems to be very bassy or trebelly when they are turned up. Although I like the scooped tone, it will not be liked by all people, kinda like a traditional distortion still - not scooped enough or too harsh - if oyu get me. Volumewise this amp seems to be able to cope admirably when cranked to nearly full on both channels, in fact the jensen speaker seems to 'come alive' when cranked above 5 with the effects almost bubbling over becoming more creamy and 3 dimensional. Compared to my AVT 150 the effects sounds are in a different league.

Reliability : No Opinion
I would depend upon it, but woudl always have a pandora in my gig bag just in case (to put through the PA) It is built to a very high standard and the included pedal is one of the most rugged I have seen in recent years, better than the Marshall AVT150's but with a totally different feel thaht takes a little time to get used to.

Customer Support : No Opinion
The dealer informed me that he has never had any problems, and I easily belive that. They seem to be a good company but the website could have a little more Q and A style forum backup. Good information available and many contact numbers if required. Because I have not needed ot contact them myself I feel rating is not appropriate.

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing for 7 years, had loads of equipment and enjoy experimenting with new gear. This is an amp that I feel i will always keep, I hope to add the Midi pedal to the setup soon and I'm sure I will be even more satisfied. The manual could be a little more 'example' led, as I found it hard to find out the specific thigns i required quickly, also an extension out for runnign a cab would be good (I don't think the left and right line outs will work for that)Other than that and if I being really picky a 3rd channel woudl be beneficial live....brilliant.......belive me if someone stole it I would replace it ASAP with the same model or 3 channel version if it comes out.....a great amp....and an even great price and sounds......wicked.
