2 channels, vocal and instrument, 7-band eq, effects on both channels, feedback detection, cd input etc. connects to a p.a. if you want. 90 watts. comes with a footswitch to turn effects on/off each channel. effects are pretty useful in acoustic situations but you cant change any parameters other than the level of effects. this amp really sounds good "dry" though. many people have complained that the behringer acoustic amps aren't loud enough but mine is very suitable for smaller acoustic type gigs. a loud drummer will drown you out. my guitar channel is plenty loud but to boost the volume on the vocal channel i use a tube preamp and its as loud as i can take it (30 dollar investment ART tube preamp)

I use A/E washburns with onboard preamp and sometimes a dean markley woody soundhole pickup. also use various electric guitars with effects pedals and they all sound pretty good. we mostly play acoustic rock, blues, country, oldies and it suits us. we are a two man acoustic outfit both using our own ACX and we never had a volume or sound issue but in a really cramped corner you may have to use creative placement to reduce feedback but its never too bad. stays clean loud and sounds much better if more than one person performing together uses the same amp.... my only gripe soundwise is it has an upper midrange tone on the guitar channel that is hard to scoop out and drives me nuts but nobody else can hear it. in fairness to the ACX i have this problem with everything i plug acoustics into! my only real gripe in the sound category is that i wish the effects were even just a little tweekable but they really do sound good for acoustic guitars, not electric. The reverb is really good! by the way, another way to get better sound and volume for it is to buy or make a stand to get it off the floor!!!!!!

this amp has been used at full power once a week for well over a year in smoke-filled rooms, has been loaded and unloaded constantly, had things plugged in and unplugged and has had not one issue period. you have to slow down and take care of it though because the knobs and jacks are flimsy plastic but for the money who cares? i sold my p.a. system because i didn't feel the need for a backup, if the acx dies its super cheap and easy to replace and is so much easier to carry! i have read many reviews of people developing problems with these but i suspect they may just be a little rough on it because we have two of them and both have served us flawlessly.

how can this be a bad deal? you get volume, portability, good sound, and at 239 delivered to your doorstep! if you do manage to kill it, its so cheap to replace as opposed to some of those high-dollar units that don't even have half the features of the acx, its a no-brainer. just buy the damn thing already.
