This is a 4X12" guitar speaker cabinet. Built like a tank! Heavy at 102 lbs. SOLID! Mine was made in 2008. It came with Jensen 12/70 speakers. 8 ohms, mono or stereo with two plug-ins on the back panel. Nice metal speaker grill. Heavy duty. 200 watt cabinet. Great value for the price.

The sound it a bit "mid-rangey". I noticed how much mid-range this cab had when I compared it to my Marshall cab with Celestion G12-L35's. The Marshall sounds better, but it also cost much more. This Behringer is a great cab, don't get me wrong. Lots of bass and headroom. I like the angled two top speakers. It's a very good sounding cab, just has a little too much mid-range for my liking. But you have to consider how low the price is on this thing, and also that sound is subjective.

I have been playing for over 20 years. Owned and played many amps, combos and halfstacks, tube and solid state. This Behringer cab is a great deal. You can't beat the price for a heavy duty cab. I own a Gibson Les Paul Studio, a Fender Tele Custom, a Washburn acoustic, a Carvin MTS halfstack, a Crate V33 head, a Marshall 4X12" cab, a Marshall VS232R, and a a bunch of effects pedals-nothing digital, all analog. I like stoner rock and heavy riffs. A big beefy sound through a mahogony guitar with humbuckers. Sound is subjective. But I am picky about sound. This Behringer is a good cab. The only draw back is that is has alot of mid-range tone and that it is so heavy. But the heaviness is also a positive as well. Fortunately it comes with casters. Mine work fine. It rolls very smoothly. Especially for small casters under a 102 lb. cab! Overall, a nice cab. If you don't have $700 or more to spend on a Marshall or Orange or other cab, then this will work great for you. Get the Behringer cab with the Jensen 12/70's. It is worth the extra $20.

I am using BC Rich Neckthrough Guitars Loaded W/ EMG H4 Passives (I don't Like Active Pickups.) and I Have Retired the Massive Poweramp Rack Set Up Because I Got My Hands On A Rivera Knucklehead K-TRE(INSANE AMPLIFIER). My Band Plays In Dropped A Tuning and I use 6 string guitars W/13-56 Jazzwound Strings..this is just to give you an idea of the demands that I am putting on this cabinet. And I can say that This thing is still delivering night after night. and we have played apox. 30 shows since Sept of 07' and 200+ Shows Since I have owned this cab..this cab sounds great. I am considering asking them about an endorsement for the cabs..So I can run 2 full stacks..when space allows..lol..

I have depended on this cab night after night for several years without a backup, I am playing tonight in sioux City and tomorrow night in des Moines and this cab has never let me down(Knock On wood)
and it is still the ugliest thing I own..So Torn up and scraped and scratched. ugly as hell..but I wouldn't have it any other way. Pretty gear is for people who don't use the stuff..this thing has a detailed road map of every mile of its entire life torn and scratched all over it...And it is still rock solid..

...Big company syndrome most likely..probably no worse than marshall support..lol...RIVERA! now there is support..most likely you will end up talking to someone who helped design the amp if you call Rivera. I DID..no joke

I have been Playing for 15+ years and I own 7 guitars (2 BC RICH, 2 Fenders, 2 Ibanez, and an oddball D'armmond 7 String)and two rack setup amps, and my rivera k-tre, the behringer 4x12, A line 6 Pod 1.0 w/ Floor board, Pod XT live, 79' Fender Reverb Deluxe, Quite a bit of gear, and this cab is great, I would replace it in a heart beat if it were stolen, and I could at this price, another great feature..handing a marshall cab it's ass and costing 1/3 the price..
its like comparing American Eagle Clothing to Dickies Clothing..
American eagle is more expensive and more people want it..
but when it gets to the nitty gritty the dickies are gonna win because there made to last..nothing to do with a brand name.

I have read alot of reviews of this cab that say it lacks low end..and to get a better cab than this, and I can say from experience that this amp carries more note definition and bottom end than a 1960a marshall cab with a JCM 800 sitting on top of it. this cab is only capable of what you put into it...of course I was running a rack with an obsenely large power amp(2400 watts, big amp+low output=all the power you would ever need, push that cab as hard as it can go)and this cab has been on this power amp for nigh 3 years, and it still screams...I love it!!!

I have really abused this thing...there is tears and scratches all over this cab,and large sections of its covering torn or ripped...this cab is ugly..I have beaten this thing unmercifully for 3 years(all live gigging without a backup)and here it stands...not to mention what I have done to this cab with my rack setup(see above)those speakers still sound just as good as the day I bought it..So yeah I would say it is reliable..

The features are okay, but it is not like it is celestions or anything. The Jensen's are very decent and it sounds good. In the future, if the speakers do fry on Me, im thinking of putting in great speakers on it, maybe Voxes or Celestions. And of course it is just a cab, its a big bulky thing with speakers that makes you sound better and louder.

DUde it is awesome sounding, so far i only gigged with it once, but im starting to become very afraid, because it gave up on some people. Despite that, the sound is very good, as the one guy said, the sound is full, the lows are great, and the highs have defenition. What else can you say, it beats the $300 line 6 once, and the crates, and defenitely a lot of Marshalls, except probably the very expensive and high end once.

This cab is really great for the price. I really love the sound that it gives, and after reading reviews I would take care of this one. I dont want no speakers to blow out on me on some gig, that would definitely stink. This one beats cabs less than 300 dollars, and it truly does make you sound better. IT is great for hard rock and alternative.

Superb! It really has the balls of one of my old Marshall cabs from the 80's.This impressed me big time.I also consider it better because the sound is GREAT from all angles not from just directly in front as those Silly overpriced nowadays Marshalls are.Brutal sound-spread,very efficient speakers in this thing. It does clean or all out raunch with clarity and ease. Not spikey in the highs at all.Nice and smooth, buttery tone here.It really reproduces the sound of your amp,pre-amp.Makes your EQ work like a charm, responsive to tweaks. All in all,a very rewarding tone.Tried it with a few heads and they all sounded distinct and rich.

(all Marshalls)This is a keeper.Decent cabs are going for 700.00 to 1000.00 these days,so this one really wins all the categories.I'm already wanting another.Compare it to a recent Marshall 1960 4x12,it blows it away in price and performance,as well as looks and styling. You simply can't go wrong with this cab.I love it.

I've had this for a bit over a year and while I was never really satisfied with it I didn't really complain about it. I mean, it cost me $250, seriously. BUT, today, it finally shit out on me. The other guitarist in my band got one at the same time as me and his shit out on him a few months ago...what do I mean by "shit out on me"...I mean, the speakers gave out and they're woofing something awful. Very muddy.
So in short, the cab is not poorly made by any means, in fact you could do a lot worse. However, the speakers are the shits. In the first place they're very shrilly and the low end is muddy, but obviously if you're in a regularly gigging band as I am, whether they sound good or not doesn't matter since they have no life in them (barely over a year...inexcusable....).
I'm not going to buy one again, although for the price of the cab you could simply take out the speakers and replace them with whatever your heart desires...since it's a pretty well made cab.
Beware, the thing weighs a TON. Freaking heavy.

I'm your average Joe who plays what he happens to play. I've had the cab for over a year, and have gigged with it countless times. I can tell you that it's black and has 4 12" Jensens, but that's about it. Oh, one thing, and I will detract from the score, the wheels are absolutely retarded! Every one of these cabs that I have seen can do one thing - turn left! Retarded! Ah well, go to Guitar Center and get some Ernie Balls for $20, it works fine now.
I can't give this more than a 7, because well...it's a cab! How many features should it have??? Are there super-duper bells and whistle cabs out there with digital LEDs and special switches and such? I think not. SEVEN.

I've played through Marshalls, Laneys...that's about it, but I've had plenty experience with both of those. The Behringer blows Marshall out of the freaking water. Whereas the Marshall sounds farty, lifeless, not full...this cab has low-end in spades, the highs are very pronounced, and the mids...are mids!
For this price, you can't do better. Unless you get an Avatar, I'm sure. I've heard many great things about 'em.

Do yourself a favor, check one out. Massive low end and screaming highs, and stuff. Great value, sturdy as fvck.

4/12 slant cab with jensen speakers.Top 2 speakers angled outward left and right respectively of their position to "fill" the room with your sound.mono/stereo switch is nice to have but honestly havent used it yet except to see if it worked before i bought the cab.400 watts 8 ohms and 200 watts per side for stereo use.(Dont plug a stereo into it, its for "stereo" use of 2 guitarists or 2 amps through the same cab). The casters sucked like stated in every other review and i immediately replaced them. This cab is very versatile to me for my thrash/prog style of metal.I "auditioned" the amp at a music store with my old Hughes&Kettner solid state attax100 head.REMEMBER THOSE? HAHAHA Played through the clean channell with a boss metal zone and the cab ripped me in half! Then i played through the dirty channel w/o the boss and got the same result and actually heard my amp like i have never heard it before, the highs were insane and the lows were tight as ever.Plus the preamp tube was at the time 9 yrs old and heavily abused!! I took the cab home after paying about 310 us dollars and plugged it into my peavey xxx and it sounded even tighter.I have had the cab for close to 3 yrs now.Bought at xmas time 2002.

At the time of purchase i was playing a jackson 1987 strat body guitar with a stock jackson humbucker in the bridge.I playd that guitar as well as an ibanez 1996 saber for close to 1 year without any effects.Just straight through the amp to the cab 8 ohm mono selction. The whole time of use has been for rehearsals with drummer and bassist and the cab fills the room with sound.I was also running the cab with a mesa 4/12 from the same peavey xxx amp and i could hear the behringer over the mesa in any position in the room.2 20 Foot 12 gauge speaker cables to each cab.Mesa in center of room and behringer in the right corner beside the drummer. From where i was standing right inbetween them i could hear the behringer over the mesa.So after 1 year or so i could hear a slight loosening of the low end to the point of "woofing" out so i brought the highs up a little and brought the bass down from 6 to 4 and it cleared right up.Been the same for the past year and not a problem yet.No rattling, woofing, peaking or clipping. It has held up well and im proud to have one in my possession.

Im not sure if i can depend on it in a live gig because i havent gigged yet but the thought has crossed my mind and im sure i wouldnt have a problem with playing live with this cabinet at all.And without a backup as well.Im very pleased with how well and loud the cabinet is and like i said it is louder and has more "thrust" than my old 1991 marshall 150 watt 2/12 (used nowadays for practicing at home with the old h&k) and the mesa 280 watt 4/12.The sound just cuts through like a fireball and is very loud and clear.I have since added a boss chorus pedal and a blues driver and when they are stomped on for my lead sound the sound is very tight and clear with all the picking nuances of my playing intact without any sweetener.I know a lot of the sound has to do with the amp but the cabinet is an extension of the amp and you yourself as well and a behringer cab, for the price( a steal) would compliment any player in almost any style. When playing through the clean channell of the xxx with a boss chorus the sound is amazingly bright and shimmery without any rattle or woof from the speakers.Go and get one you will not be dissapointed!!!!

I contacted a support center in early 2003 out of seattle i think? (SCRATCHES HEAD) To try and find where i can get ahold of a straight cab to compliment the slant and the fellow i talked to (sorry, forget his name) was very friendly and helpful. At the time he took my info and instated my warranty info which is now up but was very worthwhile to call.Well i did get the info on where to find a straight cab and will be purchasing one soon if my budget permits me soon.I look forward to it with much delight.

I have been playing steadily for 12 years and now own a Laney vh100r 100 watt amplifier and play that through the behringer slant 4/12.The cab held up well with the h&k solid state when i auditioned the cab.Played and sounded great with the peavey xxx head for close to a year and a half and now the past 6 months have been just as good if not better because the cab has been broken in and has not wavered from the tone and sound it had when first purchased.Except for the slight "bass woofing" which wasnt that bad and easily remedied. If the cab was stolen of course i would be upset and i would call my posse to look for it and the end result of the culprit i cannot state here hehehehe but i would most definetly buy another one. What i love about the cab is that it has handled everything i have thrown at it as far as amps and effects and the volume has always been at 5 or 6 with gain at 7 or 8.So the loud volume hasnt degraded the quality in the slightest.I recently let a friend play a Krank revolution series 1 100 watt amp that was designed with the helping hand of Mr. Dimebag Darrell (r.i.p)
plug into the cab at full volume and it was quiet, extremely responsive and the tight end was of course of the krank and it tightened up like cold butter.Which is extremely odd being that the cab is of particle board and mostly glued together it didnt seem to want to "break" at all.And still to this day i havent received any rattle from the steel grill in even the slightest. Also changing the casters didnt seem to alter the tonal qualities or sound quality in anyway. My cab to this day looks brand new because it hasnt left the rehearsal room even once and not taking it to different places in different weather conditions has been to my benefit im sure and to the cabs as well. When that changes i will of course come back after gigging for 6 months and leave a new review to let y'all now about any changes in any of the cabs qualities.

this review is about a behringer bg412s ultrastack cab, which is a stereo cab(surround option) , 8 ohm impedance, 400W, jensen equipped 12" .i bought it in 2005 from an online store.in my oppinion it suits just about any style of music, is very versatile, all though the speakers are not the best , they are allright.im give it a 9 because it has any features a cab should have and more, but the speakers are the greatest(celestion 30's or other top speakers).it handles just about any power you drive it.

im using a ibanez rg guitar with several ibanez and boss pedals through my fx loop of the custom made 200W all tube head.
i'm playin' metal , nu-metal , alternative and it sounds good for what i need
.it produces the sound naturally(the way it should) in my oppinion ,so if you have good gear then it will sound the way you want. both clean and distortion sounds good, and I THINK IT HAS ENOUGH LOW END even if others are not satisfied with it.play a bass with distortion if you're not satisfied.i'm tuned pretty low( b,f#,b,e,g#,c#) so i know what low end means.it ratles a lil at high volumes but you wont noticed it unless you want too.for the money is sounds very nice, and can be compared to cabs twice the price.its not noisy, it delivers the sound that come out from your amp, gear..

I play mostly hardcore/punk music styles. It is perfect for this stuff. I use a Gibson 56' reissue gold top with P-90's in it, and a MESA BOOGIE 50 cal. plus head. The cabinet holds up just fine with the MESA head, crunch, overdrive, heavy distortion all sound great through this cab. I don't play clean styles at all so I can't say what a good clean sound is and if it sounds good through the cab. I'm sure it sounds great clean though. The top two speakers have a cool sideways angle to them as well as a slant back, this gives a great unique sound to the cab compared to the standard Marshall style 1960 cab's.

I have'nt had this long, but I can't see anything going wrong with it, it's built like a damn tank. The casters DO SUCK. I thought it was just mine until I read the other reviews. It's a tank, it could probably fall off the back of a truck and be fine. Nice steel speaker grill also, much tougher than Marshall's basketweave stuff. Some people have said "a pen or thin object could go through the grille holes". ANYTHING AT ALL COULD GO THROUGH A MARSHALL CAB'S MESH COVER, I KNOW BECAUSE I'VE OWNED THEM..... Common sense here.

I've been playing guitar for 23 years and have owned alot of the big name/big dollar cabinets. In my opinion the sound is the same or better than a Marshall cab. If your a gear nerd or namebrand whore than move on, you won't be happy until you have that 800 dollar Marshall cabinet. So save some money and invest that into a good all tube amp, then hook up this cabinet to it and blow the damn doors down. Don't bother hooking up a solid state head to this cab, they won't sound good. I'm not sure why, maybe the 8 ohm impedence is to restrictive for their power output. But a good 50 watt tube head will make this thing scream....

This is an update to my previous review with the replacement of the jensens and added Eminence Governors. First off, I noticed that when playing loud, there was alot of unwanted cabinet resonance and standing waves or as some like to call "ghost notes" were ringing out in the background too much for my taste. I installed some 2 1/2 inch black eggcrate foam which I got new from ebay also for $35 (im an ebay fanatic.

The very first thing I noticed was that the bass response increased dramatically. After turning that down, the sound was much cleaner and the speakers could actually speak without background noise from the cabinet itself. Overall I am very glad that I put insulation in my cabinet and recommend it to everyone who wants to clean up the standing waves. Everything is tighter, cleaner and no more mud at high volumes.
Thanks for reading.

If you like good tone but you are unable to afford the "name" brand then buy this cab, take out the Jensens and replace with 4 Eminence Governor 56oz magnet speakers for $60 each new on ebay. (close sound to the Celestion Vintage 30) Sell the Jensens if you can and now you have very decent guitar cabinet.
Mine is loud as F*%K and has enough bottom end to shake the foundation.

Looks and feels solid enough. Just make sure you don't lose the locknuts when you are replacing those Jensens. Don't get me wrong, the Jensens are decent but if you play hard then you may need something with a heavier magnet.

My only gripe is that I want to expand to a full stack but the BG412F bottom cabinet is set up for 16 ohm and this is only 8ohm, so I will have to replace those speakers also.

Slanting black speaker cab with 4 12" Jensen speakers, 8 ohm impedance, stereo/mono switch, a sturdy metal grill. No passive potmeters for location eq. It's a bargain and for that price, it's got everything you need. Made in China.

Schecter, ESP and Ibanez baritones and 7-strings, rigged with DiMarzio (Evo, Blaze Custom) and Seymour D. (Custom, Jazz). I run it through a Peavey 5150-II head to this cab, no effects (barring a simple noise gate). The 5150 has a specific sound, most notably in the upper frequencies. This cab cuts like a knife, the way it should when playing grindcore, thrash and heavy metal. I've tried a Mesa Recto trad before getting this one, Mesa just didn't cover 4 times it's price. Same with Randall. The Recto had (a little) more low punch but I liked the highs of this one better. There's no setting on the 5150 that this cab can't handle. It sounds very direct, as opposed to the somewhat muffled and distant sound of Marshall 1960 and (to a lesser extent) Mesa Recto. I also tested it with Tech21/TC/Rocktron solid state rack stuff and here's where this cab sounds thin and lifeless.
This cab can't be beaten, certainly not at that price, but you need a full-tube amp head on it. Listen and test it first to see if it sounds good with your stuff, buy later.

Don't pass this one up if you own (or plan on owning) a full-tube amp head. It's got hands down the best value-for-money rate. See first if it sounds good with your particular rig. Looking over the various reviews here (and looking at my own experience with it) gives me the firm impression that it's critical towards the kind of amp you're going to use on it. It sounds great with Peavey 5150, that's for sure.
Solid state afficionados steer clear, they may rather consider Behringer's small P.A. rigs.

I agree with the previous review and I don't need a sound man to confirm what I already know about this cab. Its not really the cab itself that is the problem. It is the Jenson speakers in it. Harsh is the best word that I can use to describe the tone these speakers put out. I have had it for about a year now. I have gigged with it and quit taking it out because of its sterileness and razor highs. Low end is not there for me either. Solid state amps including rack mounted set ups don't sound good through this. Vintage 30's and G12h30's in 412 cabs sound great through our band rigs. I'm rating the speakers here because that is where the problem is.

Put some decent speakers in this thing and it will be as good as the speakers you buy. The cab is solid and looks good to me. I'm going to score the cab itself here at its price which is a good deal. I wouldn't buy it again though unless it had speakers I liked in it. Jenson's sound bad to me. Maybe you will know someone who likes a harsh sound and sell the Jenson's to him/her.

OK, this is where I differ from most of the reviews. I have no idea how people are giving this cab a 10, or even a 9. In all honesty, if you are used to paying less than $400 for your gear...this cab is fine. If you have a small budget, this cab is probably a good bet. But if you are a true gear freak, you probably already know not to touch this cab with a 10 foot pole. One thing it has...volume. It is very loud, but it lacks bottom end and can be very annoying. It sounds best when used with 1 or 2 cabs that have lots of low end. If you have an old bass cab laying around, it would be a perfect pair. By itself though, it really does sound like a $300 cabinet.
I know it's bad because I got it as an emergency replacement cab for a few shows, and the sound guy actually said, "hey you guys sounded good, but your guitar cab sucks." I give it a 6 only because it's very loud and cheap. Actual sound quality is poor.

This amp handles every type of music I can think of to play on my guitar. Rock, Jazz, Hard Rock, fusion, ect...

I play an Ibanez RG1570 and I use every pickup position constantly. I am always switching tones and going to from clean to dirty and this amp does it like a champ -effortlessly. The beveled speakers have an amazing effect! I can stand 50 ft away from it and its like right my face! I have never heard anything like it before!
Playing rock and metal and everything inbetween this thing really takes the tone of your fingers and amp and lets you hear it. It has virutually no tone interferrence but yet has this 'unique charracter' to it at the same time.
I played an ibanez head through this cab, and then a Line6 cab, then a Carvin cab, then a MARSHALL cab, then a PRO cab, then a PEAVEY cab going back to the Behringer after every Cab change and I give you my utmost truthful response... The Behringer & the old P.R.O. cabs were the absolute best. No shit... They SMOKED the Marshall AND the Peavey. There was n debate about it. So... If you are some kind of Marshall purist or something then put side your ignorance and give this thing a try I am sure you will love it.

Many of us (even those of us who have the cash for higher end stuff) are damn tired of paying through the nose for low quality garbage with high end labels. this is an extremely great cab for the price. the Jensen speakers are heavy duty, as well as the body of the cab itself. this thing is a freakin' tank. it weighs like 105 pounds...so, the included detatchable casters are very helpful. beautifully built cab. has upward/outward angled top speakers...why hasn't anyone else ever thought of this? totally ingenious...totally. the cab can be run in mono mode [8 ohms], or stereo mode [8-12 ohms] - which is great if you have two guitarists that want to use the same cab [split it r/l] or if you have two seperate amps that you use simultaniously or seperately. this thing puts the sound all over the room, wherever you are.

I use an Epiphone G-400 with Carvin M22T/C22N pickups through a Peavey Express 112S amp [soon to be a Randall RH100]. this cab's speakers are not the brightest speakers in the world, but if you back off the lows on your amp a little and juice the highs and mids a hair, you get a most wonderful sound from them. it's VERY chunky...and for what I play [rock, blues] that's awesome. when you're palm muting, the cab rattles a little bit [it's not the grille...I can't figure out what exactly it is...], but at any decent stage or recording volume, you would never know it. for the price, this cab is definately the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. sure, it's no Marshall or Mesa/Boogie, but it rocks. it's definately worth much more than what you pay for it.

BG412H- 2003. 400 Watts mono at 8 ohms. 200 Watts Stereo at 12 ohms. 4 100 watt Jensen speaker wired in series-parallel. The top two speakers are slanted and splayed at about 30 degrees. This widens the stereo image as well as the dispertion of the sound. Stereo/mono switch on back panel. Two paralell input jacks marked "IN" and "OUT" though both function the same in the mono setting but double as "left" and "right" in the stereo setting.
The cabinet is constructed out of 3/4 inch E1 MDF. It does not have a center baffle dowm the middle sepperating it into two 2-12 compartments but it dose have a heavy reinforcing brace tieing in all four walls midway up the cabinet. The speaker baffle is 1/2 inch plywood. The splayed section is well constructed with tight seams even with the compound angles. The whole thing is glued together with reinforcing corner blocks. The grill is heavy gage perforated steel with the Behringer name and logo in the center. You would have to hit it with a sledge hammer for it to touch the cones. However a pencil or screwdriver could easily slip through...so keep thin-pointy things away. The tolex covering is like rynoliner. It's about 1/8" thick. You could scoop out chunks and not break through. The corners have protective chrome plates. They are a little thin and can be dented ,but with normal use you would have to try hard. It has detachable casters and rubber feet for when the casters are off. They need lubricant such as light grease so they swivle well. Otherwise the cab moves where it wants to when you push it. The receses for the handles are plastic but the handles themselves are metal and are through-bolted to the sides which is a good thing because all this stuff adds up to 104 pounds.
Oh yeah...It's built in China (where else)

OOOOHHHH Nice and loud. I am currently using the Randall RH100 head with this cab and Ibanez guitars with EMG Select pickups. The RH100 is a very bottom heavy amp and the BG412H holds up fine. Of course as with any cab it will bottom out if it gets too much bass at too high a volume but that threashold is rather high. There are occasonal rattles from the grill but they get masked at moderate volumes. It has a very full sound. Standing in front, it has the dispersion of an open back combo but the punch and bottom end of a closed back. It rumbles the cement floor of my basement. At 30 feet away it's still in your face. It sounds great both clean and distorted. I could see it used for all styles of music. Rock, pop, metal, country, whatever. The best way to know if you like it is to find one and try it out.

Not much can go wrong with cabinets but I can see some possible long term fixable problems. The input panel in the back is plastic. A nice sideswipe of an inserted cable could crack it. The detachable casters could get lost. And asthetic thing....the Berhinger logo is plastic. A good impact with something else could crack that too.
All in all, anything that could possibly go wrong with this cabinet is very user servicable so don't worry about it.

Some people might not like the cheaper materials and construction and they can go ahead and spend 500 dollars more than I did for the same thing. I like it. It's worth every penny. Being on a tight budget I used it before with a 30 watt Behringer Combo, very displeased.. The Cabinet was able to reproduce every nuance of the combo, which of made me realize I needed to step it up in the amp department.
I finally moved up to a Marshall TSL 100, and like I said before, The Cabinet was able to reproduce every nuance of the Amp...This is when I realized the Cabinet's true potential.. Don't be fooled into thinking that the cabinet will make your amp sound better... It makes your amp sound like your amp actually sounds except louder. Now that I know better (using the Tube TSL 100 through the Cab) I am extremely pleased with the BG412S. I am thinking about moving onto a Marshall 1960AV, but will definitely hold onto the BG412S.

Sounds excellent!! People have said that it is hissy...... I havent noticed that really. Hiss usually comne from the amp and/or effects. With my Marshall VS102R 2x12 (100W) Amp as a head, there is barely any hiss at all, you only notice it at extremely high volumes (same with anything). It does lack a little bottom end compared to the celestions in my Marshall, but it is very close AND as others have said, guitar does not need much low end. The low end sound riffs in rock and metal music are all fortified by a bass guitar, but people don't realize that. All I have to say is that it is amazing quality. You cannot beat it for the price!! Even when compared to Cabs worth 5 times the price, it gives them a good run for their money. You would have to be stupid to pay 5 times as much for a better name brand (unless you have a money tree or a really good job!).

As far as cabs go.... there is not much that usually breaks down.... but this thing is sturdy, snd kicks out a lot of sound, so I couldn't see anyone blowing the speakers in it. Very reliable!

If this thing were ever stolen, I would buy another one in a second!! There is nothing that I don't like about it. I compared it to Line 6, Marshall, and Peavey.... Behringer is definately up at the top (and still cheap).

I just got this cabinet from zzounds for a great price with shipping. Once it was here (in 2 days) I hooked right up to my rig. It has a switch on the back where you can choose either mono or stereo. A great feature. And it looks cool too.

I use a ESP MH-301 and a Dean Cadillac. Both with EMG's. My rig has a stereo Mosvalve power amp coupled with a Roctron Pirhana pre-amp and when connected to this cabinet it sounds awesome. I'm very pleased, I can go from quiet clean melodies to screaming harmonics with this cab. I have not noticed any bottom end drop out as of yet.

The cabinet came with casters so its easy to roll around, I fit it in the back seat of my pontiac 2000 with no problems. The casters can be removed very easily when setting up for a gig.

I just purchased this cabinet brand new yesterday. It's a stereo/mono 4-12 cabinet with surround capabilities, and a 400 watt power rating. There are plenty of features that separate this from other cabinets.

The cabinet sounds great with my peavey xxx head, I like the fact that the cabinet does not color my tone, it keeps the amps tone pure. I also use an Ibanez RG 520 qstb with dimarzio pickups. I must say this cabinet lets the pickups speak, and really makes them sound how the should. It also cuts through in the band environment, I tried it out at a gig last night and was pleased with the performance, harmonics sing through this cab, and right hand tapping stands out considerably.

This cab will blow your head right off or it can make you purr like a kitten. As far as the bass cutting through the mix, you better belive it.

Very versatile cabinet. 8 ohm impedance, 4x12 100w jensen speakers. 400w handling. top two speakers are angled outward for a surround effect which does work well. metal grille for better durability. Mono or stereo. I play mostly grunge and hard rock. I own a marshall dsl 50 head and a Mesa dual rectifier 3ch. head. I also own a Marshall 1960A 4x12 cabinet to compare this to.
I have read other reviews that say this cabinet is hissy or lacks bottom end. First of all, For guitar cabinets, you will discover that when in a full band setting, massive low end DOES NOT CUT THROUGH!! A good vocal sound is usually what works best, something that is more organic sounding that cuts through using the frequencies meant for guitar!! A good way to start is by just having a good guitar/amp combination. And this cabinet works well with true tube amps Something that sounds too prestine or too bassy tends to get weeded out from another guitar a bass, vocals, and a drum set. This cabinet, although not of the highest quality, is in fact a good sounding cabinet. Also bear in mind that I have played through Orange vintage 4x12's, Mesa trad, and standard recto 4x12's and 2x12's, Marsalls of all sorts, and peavey's. So I am not bragging, but I do know what I am comparing this guy to.

I use a '76 Gibson Explorer, Mesa dual rec. Marshall dsl 50.
Compared to mainly Mesa and marshall cabinets, which i know most people will compare it to. This cabinet is a little less in your face and less crisp sounding. It has a little less bottom end and has a more elastic sound, almost as if a rectifier were constantly left on rectifier tubes w/ the "spongy" variac switch on. The result is something with softer clipping and an almost more liquid sound. I must be honest when I say that I like my mesa through the marshall 1960A cab better because it is a much more aggressive amp, and it sounds better through the marshall rather than other cabs ex. (behringer, other mesa's) because it has a much more vocal quality and sounds more realistic to me, not extreme low end, just enough, and mids that cut through. I hate the fake sounds of processors and most rackmounts, so I like a realistic sound. The behringer spreads out the sound due to the unique angle of the speakers. it sounds much less in your face and more subtle, you have to work harder to get it louder, which is good for tweaking master volume vs. E.Q. However, it gets just as loud as most of the competitors.
I also understand that this cabinet is not as accuratly tuned material-wise as other cabs. It is made of particle wood, which isn't quite as acoustically well-tuned as marshall cabinets and other more expensive cabinets.
Basic sounds:
Sounds rounded when on clean channels, especially on the DSL.
Sounds amazing with slightly overdriven sparkly tones, sounds almost beautiful. And when I throw my dual rec's channel 3 "modern" on it, it holds up really well, scooped mids and really nasty, awesome for writing furious songs, or covering anything you want.

Extremely reliable, I have used this in the studio along with my 1960A, just a small studio a few blocks me. (jd) and in jams with various amps cranked. I've owned it for 8 months which is decent time to know how well it holds up. It doesn't reverberate badly in the off chance that i hit my eq pedal and a lot of bass is thrown at it, but it is not a cab designed for extreme low end, so keep your speakers in mind, no speakers, not even vintage 30's green or blue backs, or black shadows are indestructable, always care for your gear. No problems with it yet, built very well. the wiring has held up all along

I have been playing for a few years and have been experimenting with a lot of amps, guitars, cabinets, and yes even effects. like I said I run the Gibson explorer, through either the Mesa dual rectifier head, or the marshall dsl, various pedals, some just for fun, a very basic setup and sadly uncommon. Most people use computer sounds anymore ad they sound too faked out or pristine and perfect I like the way real amps tremble and shake, I like the unexpected overtones you get from them. This cab works well with just about any amplifier. Don't be too picky. get some gear you like and go right some songs, It's the song that makes the sound of your gear, not the other way around. There are artists who have used the worst equipment to get their own sound, and nobody really gives two shits because they just love the music, and oh yeah "that grindy distortion sounds great, what does he use?" get gear you like, have fun, This cabinet is wonderful for the money, will hold up until you make it big and can afford something a little more reputable and better sounding. If lost, I'd probably cut my losses and maybe save extra doh for a decent mesa 2x12, or a marshall 2x12 with 30's in it for more portability, and a backup.

using a bc rich guitar with emg pickups for playing metal (death-type) using a marshall vs100 head .... tried using metalzone pedal as well as pod. preamp and was not satisfied with the sound of the speakers (jensen) they are lightweight and sound thin and hissing at loud volumes.... the heavy bottom is not clear... comes nowhere near celestion speaker sound ... so i replaced the speakers (about $200) with V-12-60 celestion silver series speakers and yep the jensenspeakers sucked for metal anyway..

I purchased the Behringer 412S 4x12 cabinet only after trying it at a local music store - through some Peavey head. This cab is really - really cheap. Less than 1/2 the price of a Marshall 1960A. However, it doesn't sound it. In fact, to my ears - it is more brilliant than the 1960A and doesn't seem to sacrifice any bottom end. To be honest - I was very surprised. I had seen this cab online and would never have purchased such an inexpensive cab for fear of getting a lousy sound. This is not the case at all. It can be used clean - and it can sustain via a dual rectifier sound. I have this cab connected in stereo mode to a Johnson JM250H head. I really don't have a single negative comment about it - but I also haven't played it at super-high volume levels yet or tested is long term reliability yet.
I am not sure how to rate a 4x12 cab for features - but it has the stereo input that I need and the sound versatility I need.

I have had a problem with the input jack in one of the channels - almost immediately. The plastic of the input jack had cracked causing a bad contact. This was easily fixed and was no big deal. However, the connectors and stereo mono switch seem a bit cheap - which again - is not that big of a deal to me - because this is easy to solve. It would be a bigger deal if this cab wasn't so inexpensive. I would probably give a lower rating here - except - for the price - I would wire it myself and still be happy.
The cab has a metal front grill which seems like it will outlast cloth/mesh grills by a long time. I like the look and sturdy feel of that.

For the price - this is an awesome cab. Even when you don't consider the price - I think I would rather use this cab as apposed to a Marshall 1960A cab. Not too sure I would make this comment vs. a 1960TV - but these are over 3x the cost - so I really can't make this comparison.
