I am writing bout the Behringer BG412V, which is a very nice cabinet with 4 12" "bugera" speakers and a 200W input power rating. I've had the cabinet for a few years, as I bought mine right when this model came out. It has two inputs; if you use the "left" input your cab runs in mono and if you use both inputs the cabinet runs in stereo. Although to be honest the sonic value of a stereo cabinet isn't clear to me. The impednce of the cabinet in ono is 4 ohms and in stereo it's 8 ohms per channel. The cabinet is heavy and well made, and it comes with rollers so that you can just tip it up by grabbing one of the handles and roll it. THe cabinet has nice heavy tolex and chrome plated metal corners. There's welting around the grill cloth, and overall the cabinet compares looks-wise with anything onthe market.

Sound is very, very good. The speakers aren't muddy at all and seem to do well with a clean input signal or a distorted input.I don't really know what else to say about it other than that. Of course sound is subjective. But I don't see any reason to pay three or more times the price for a cabinet. This one sounds great and is well made. The power rating is 200 watts.

When I was looking at cabinets, I contacted Behringer by email becasue they had three different angle-front cabinets. Based on the amp I was using, they said that this would be a good match - and it has proven to be good, as far as I am concerned. I don't know if I would rate them "10", but only because a "10", per the definition, means "incredibly kind and helpful". I wouldn't say they were incredible.... but certainly plenty good enough.

I like mine so much, I just bought another similar cab from Bugera (Bugera is a division of Behringer that sells tube amps & one cabinet). The Bugera is pretty much the same cabinet but with a bit different impedance in mono (the four speakers are connected in series rather than the BG412V which has the speakers in series/parallel in mono. I don't think you can go wrong with these cabinets, but you should make sure that you pick the model that matches the impedance of your amp or you won't like it.

4x12 Jensen BUGERA cab, 4 ohm each.
You can operate in stereo with 2 x 8 ohm (serial mode) or switch te cab in mono mode, all the two inputs is at the same 4 ohm (serial parallel).
I give 8 cause marshall?s works better in 16 ohm mode and this cab don?t operate with complete serial mode.
However it can be modified easily at 16 ohm.
Behringer amps work better in 4 ohm (classic solid state working mode).

ORIGINAL BG412V
I can give 10 considering the price! It?s the better choice in non-expensive tools.
A thousand times better than the crate cabs!!!
I bought this cab almost for an error, cause I need a speaker to play guitar in my home.
Before now, I thought that this Bg412V is an ?beginner? stuff, but when I plug it into my marshall '69 MKII, I discover a good sound, well balanced with warm and sparkling treble, decent bass and a good mids compared with an 1960A.
However, the sound (specially in the mids) are coldest than the 1960AX or 1960AV, too much headroom, it doesn?t evoke old hard rock.
The sound is fantastic, but too much defined for my flavours?for all the pleasure of the fenderists and heavy metal players?.
I noted a loss of bass and power, speakers seems to be suffocate with my les paul deluxe putting 1959slp volume over 6. Celestion speakers gives more decibels, however I prefer the BG412V at the 1960A in sound quality, not for money.
I think it works better with 50 watt tube heads, instead of 100w, or with solid state stuff.
My MODDED VERSIONS
The great of this story: THE WOOD OF THIS CAB IS WELL SOLID, BETTER THAN MY 1960AV, and give more response (Except 1960TV cause it?s more voluminous).
I open the cab to discover, but it?s easy to understand when you knock and hear ?tac tac? in a marshall cab, ?Boom Boom? in the BG412V.
The wood is clearly different.
I replace the bugeras with four Celestions V30 and it is PERFECT!
It combine the wonderful bass of the v30 with the good treble definition of the wood.
When my friends saw and listened my BG412V prototype with V30, all wants Behringer!!!!
Another well setting is BG412V + 4x12 G12H30 using it as bass or guitar cab, this is one of the best setting I never heard. The warm sound of G12H30 interwoven with the thick wood of BG412V, giving more bass response, more defined treble and balanced-warm mids.
A CONSIDERATION TO BUGERA VINTAGE SPEAKERS
First of all, 50 watts is the maximum of each speaker, not the nominal power.
This gone around to 25 watts each, total 100w.
A power tube amp, over 120w, can damage the four speakers with the peaks (characteristic of tube operation)!
However Bugera V are good speakers but only exploited adequately. The BG412V isn?t the correct place for these.
It make too much headroom, cold and defined, a tube amp seems to be almost solid state (the thing worsen with 100w Jensen version, in BG412S or F, with consisting loss of bass and treble breaks eardrums at hi volume), the spectrum of heard sound is not balanced and linear in every frequency, the overall sound is good but treble tend to predominate, mids are too much cold. Nothing of vintage?
If you want to twist the situation, try to put bugera in a standard plywood cab (as standard marshall 1960A), with all serial connection (16 ohm); These becomes an ?heavy G12M?!!!
Warm mids (almost G12M), angry attack and treble, good bass, wonderful for hard rock and 80?s metal!
The dB are always less than an celestion equipped cab (some think it?s good?try to play in a small pub?), but the sound quality is incredible!
If you want keep the bugera in the BG412V, some good and various goals can be reached putting artificial wool attached to the rear panel and walls. Try some tests positioning the wool based on own flavors.

After the cheap mono/stereo switch?.the thing is good.
The two casters are OK and is a good idea (two solid casters instead of 4 shits, as BG412F), no dent, non scratch?
I receive a class A cab. Keep far to class B, discounted, dented, scratched box, bad casters, ecc
Solid handles and casters.
Very sturdy construction with thick internal connection wires and unbreakable solders.

In 15 years of hard rock, I owned some crate, marshall, legacy, framus, london city vintage cabs.
The price is good for what you paying for; considering it i prefer to buy an BG412BV + 4 V30 (or eminence governor, wizard) to have a good sound with 500 - 600?, and sell the bugera, or put the bugera in a different or handicraft cab.
Also I reached some satisfactions keeping the speakers and modding the cab with glue and wool, obtaining some good sounds, better than some cabs costing 1200?.
It has very beautiful black tolex and front skin, with silver finish, treated in the smaller details.
For the box and tolex, behringer seems to use the same wood and materials of "deluxe" mesa cabs, and has the same response, but mesa is a few oversized and BG412V is constructed with standard "1960A" dimensions.
230? well spent!!!

got it new in 2005. supposed thats when it was made. Quite versatile capable of catering to many different tones. 4 ohms mono switchable to 8 ohms per side stereo totalling 16 ohms. The speakers are four 12 inch Bugera vintage voiced. They are really nice at 50 watts each totalling 200 watts for the cab. Plenty of power. Nice cloth grill with smaller logo not nearly as ugly as those ones with the metal grill and huge logo. 1 pair of Side casters (have to tilt cab on side to roll around). Those suck and are pointless. Very akward, inconvinient, frustrating, and damaging to the cabinet, unless you're ALWAYS gonna be on flat smooth ground. should have normal bottom casters. but you can put some on yourself relatively cheap. Handles very sturdy. Medium weight and size for a 412. I wish there was more or different impedance options for better compatability. anyways these are just minor slightly subjective concerns. overall excellent

AWESOME sound. I've had the pleasure of playing and evaluating a good many different cabs. This one is right up there for a price that is unbelievable for the quality. Some say you need to break it in with some hours of loud play. I'd agree with that. Anyways the other cabs i've had access to around the same time i got this one were a randall, marshall 1960 slant, marshall lead compact straight, mesa boogie oversized recto, and the behringer bg412h with the original shark speakers i think. Definately beats the the other behringer. More musical tone, better voiced, really lets the harmonic frequencies and tube tones through. The mesa cab is very good but i would prefer this behringer because in my opinion the bg412v tone is more well balanced and practical. the mesa is meant to sound big and is voiced to sound its best when you crank it like nuts. Still a great sound but not as versatile as the berhinger imo (doesnt mean the mesa is worse, it just has more specific use). As for the marshalls, the behringer is very similar. more so to the 1960/ the lead compact is quite as sweet but still very good. The marshall 1960 and the behringer bg412v however are very similar sounding (similar TYPE of tone). Very rich sweet, smooth yet crunchy tones with a very nice solid low end. The marshall seemed to have a little bit more bite and cutting mids in comparison to the behringer. this is subjective tho, some may like this, some make like it a little bit more smooth and modern like the behringer, and consider the marshall harsh. anyways the behringer does a very good job producing great tones at pretty much any volume. have gigged wit it and have been happy. I was VERY surprised that behringer was able to pull this off especially at that price. I think a lot of it may have to do with the Bugera speakers which behringer very recently started using and in fact used to replace speakers of other brands used in even their older products. A complete make over! i've heard that berhinger was so pleased with Bugera that they purchased the company. Are there difference between this cab and really expensive cabs? yes. when people do identify these subtle differences they also seem to assume they are in the favour of the more expensive company. this is really stupid especially in this case. Sure theres some slight differences in tone, but definately not sound quality. This one's right up there. i'm familiar with behringer, and i know that some of their products aren't the greatest. but there's a few that have surprised me and this one tops the list.

The cabinet features 4 12" speakers from Bugera. Never heard of such speakers before but they are awesome. The cab has two solid handles, nice tolex and some stylish front cover. There are only two rollers on one side of the cab so you can transport it on your own. Nice idea!!!

I've tested a lot before buying this cabinet. I've heard cabs from Mesa Rectifier, Crate Red and Blue Voodoo, Framus, Marshall, Engl, Hartke, Line6, Peavey and so on. Sure, the Mesa cabs have unbelievable lows and power, but who needs this??? The Behringer with the Bugera Speakers sound pretty much the same to me like some Vintage 30s. Of course you will find some differences, but the biggest difference is the price ... 175 EUR instead of 1300 EUR!!!

I bought this cab new in Feb.'05 and been using it non-stop with the Vampire 1200H playing a variety of styles from adult pop, new country, and classic and hard rock. I chose it over Line 6 for sound and price. The stereo feature helps create a fuller sound. The tolex is a little soft and the two wheels are only useful to move it a few feet at a time - for heavy road use get some real casters. In five months I've used this cab in venues from 100 to over 1000. The volume was fine but had to add another cab to cover the wider placs which this is nothing new. (I was very surprised by how well the Vampire drove a full stack.) Only in the largest places did I have to mic the cab. People who ask can hardly believe it only cost $200. Price is one of it's best features but the only one.

My main electric guitars currently are a Gibson Les Paul and an old Washburn Tour Series(remember the Wonderbar?) They both create a pretty full bottom end. So, while I initially noticed a lack of bottom end, and maybe even a little shrillness at the top, it all mellowed out after a few short hours not unlike some Marshall cabs and a lot better than others costing twice the price. Cleans are decent but it really is designed for distortion. It would be a great starter cab beause of it's price. With that said, I've been a working musician for 23 years and I can afford more expensive gear but very few in the audience have yet to hear a difference between this and my Marshall and Fender gear. And those who do are still impressed.

It a closed back cab and weighs about 85 pounds. Functionally, I believe it will hold up well but the vinyl covering seems soft so I don't know about it's looks holding. I got a cover and it's helping. In the studio, I still insist on vintage gear but live, this rig is a lot cheaper to replace if somebody spills something on it or knocks it over.

I have used four or five Behringer products and have never had a breakdown. So, I don't know what customer service is like. I hear that sometimes it's hard to find a certified repair shop locally even though dealers are common. I believe this cab has a 1 year limited warranty which is average but I don't expect trouble.

I've been playing for 23 years - getting paid for it for 20 years. I've owned several guitars and amps but few high end products. Guitars I still own - Fender Strat, Gibson LP, Washburn TS24, and Larivee, Ovation, and Fender acoustics. Amps - Fender Twin, Marshall TSL, Peavey Blues Jr., Behringer Vampire 1200H, Fender Acoustisonic, and a '58 Fender Champ (great condition but retired). Cabs - Fender and Marshall. Various pedals and other bits and pieces. My total price for the head and cab with shipping was about $450. So, yeah, I'd replace it if it were stolen. My insurance deductible is higher than that. I wish stereo/mono switching was automatic - I'm scared someday I might blow an amp. Also, it needs casters. Overall, it's exactly what I expected. I'd spend nearly $1000 to get a cab I liked better. $200 well spent.

The Cabinet is a 4X12 with stereo switching, roller wheels and recessed handles. It can be used in Mono (4 Ohms), Stereo (8 Ohms) or with two mono units (8 Ohms) and can deliver 200 Watt of power (50 Watt per speaker). It comes with Bugera speakers (Vintage type), that are better than the Jensen speakers used in the previous models. Even if this cabinet is assembled in China, however it's maden of sturdy plywood, it features 16 screws on the backplate and comes with a black speaker cloth (very good looking)! For a low cost cabinet, it has everything, and you can't really want much more!

I've tryed this cabinet with a Gibson Sg Standard into a fully valve preamp (Brunetti Mille) and fully valve 50/50 Power Amplifier (Hughes & Kettner vs 250) and i was really impressed with the sound! I also own a Fender Hot Rod Deville 2X12 valve amp and a Vox Ac15 valve amp that are very very good, but the sound i can obtain from this 3 pieces together is unique! Maybe i was just lucky, because these 3 instruments really seem to have been built to be played together! I've also tryed my American Standard Fender Stratocaster with a hot rail pickup in the bridge position with the cabinet, and also this guitar sounds amazing through this rack (but with a totally different sound from the Gibson Sg). Finally i've tryed the system with my Gretsch Pro Jet, and the result was fantastic too. I think that these Bugera speakers, really deliver a rich and smooth sound, similar to the Celestion Vintage 30 speakers (well, the Celestion are better, but not so much)! Really Really good sounding!

I have used Behringer for other products and i can say that they really pay attention to the customers. The warranty is 2 year and it's easy for me to find an authorized service center here in Italy (maybe just because Behringer is a german company, so it's into the U.E., but i don't know if it's the same in the Usa).

I think this cab is excellent for the price paid. Maybe in future, i would consider fitting some Celestion Vintage 30 speakers in there, but i'm not sure, because i am very pleased with the Bugera Vintage speakers. An important thing is that this cab doesn't buzz when you crank up the volume (and this thing is often present even in much more expensive cabs)! I'm very surprised with the high quality of this cabinet, and considering the price, i think it's unsurpassable!
I have been playing for 15 years and i've owned a lot of amps, but i have to admit that this one certainly is an amaizing deal. So you can't go wrong with it. I just want to suggest you this: "go and buy it one"!

I use a peavey supreme xl head through this cab and to start off it sounded brittle thin and a bit wheezey. After breaking this cab in over a series of gigs and loud rehearsals its mellowed nicely. The speakers sound more like the 80's marshall/celestion gold backs, really defined but with plenty of low end thump and a slightly nasal mid response. Most of the time i run my amp head in 50w mode, this seems to help drive the speakers a little better and acheives the sound i want at lower volumes.
I like the sound of the cab, it doesnt sound to boxy like the marshall mg/avt/vs cabs.

With the LX112, the bigger, fuller, stereo image, especially with the effects is very nice. It also cuts through the keyboards and drums better than the LX112's single 12" speaker.
With my Gibson-Electar Tube 10 (Class A) amp, the tone is fantastic, the volume much louder, and enough to keep with the drums in rehearsals. With my Boss multi-effects pedal added, the extra compression and reverb makes this combo worth performing (when mic'd) or rehearsing with (no mic required).
With my G60VR 60 Watt tube amp, both the clean and mild-gain settings are true to the vintage amp's capabilities.
I'll write more later after I spend some more time with the cab, but for now, I can't imaging spending more money and getting any better sound quality.
It certainly is nice to have the stereo / mono, 8 / 4 ohm capability to mach my amps. In call cases this cab produced more volume, punch and a much bigger sound than I expected.

It sounds LOUD!!! I use it with my Music Man RP 100 head and Bassman 135. The cleans are nice but not dont expect the warmth of alnico speakers here. When distortion is engaged, i thought that it surely did injustice to my tube amps and boutique od/dist pedals. The sound was stiff and sterile, and sounded like some hollow lifeless digital cheapo. HOWEVER, after the sound breaks in, i get the life of them tubes coming through nicely. Contrary to what others have said abt Behringer cabs, the lows on this cabinet is very good even at room level after it breaks in(I was like playing those drop D nu-metal tunes after the lows broke thro, and im not a metal head). I think that might be the reason of changing the speakers to Bugera, as some were saying the jensen designs were crap.
I haven't have the luxury of owning any marshall or mesa cabs YET, so i have to say i am rating this in relation to the price i paid and the performance of it. I have heard a bassman thro a marshall cab before, and i have to say the celestion are warmer and fuller. But for the price i paid, no complains.
