Behringer GMX110 30watt Analog Modeling amp. In case you don't know it's features, here they are:
(My GMX110 is dated March 2008)
10" Bugera speaker
2 channels
27 modeled sounds
24-bit effects processor with chorus, flanging, phasing, rotary, auto-wah, echo, delay, compressor, and combinations
FXT function
Dynamizer signal enhancement circuitry
Tuner
MIDI control
Includes footswitch
Anyway, I bought this particular Behringer to use as an additional practice amp at home. Lots of cool features in a an affordable package.

Sound Quality : 8
I play a CIJ Fender Jaguar and a Schecter Ultra with an array of individual effects pedals. Lots of Chorus, Delay and Reverb, but I'm fond of using various Fuzz effects as well. My style of music ranges from Post-Punk, Indie-Rock, Shoegaze, Dreampop and anything that fits my mood. This amp fits the bill for jamming at home. The amp isn't noisy at all and it's clean channel is clear and bright. It can get plenty loud without any buzzing which is important to me. The built in effects can be accessed by cycling through the pre-sets which give you lots of effect options to choose from plus a choice of several modelled amps. Distortion sounds decent on this amp, nothing to write home about, but it's not bad either. I don't care for heavy metal music, so I really haven't tested how brutal the distortion can get and to be honest, I mostly use the effects on my pedalboard through the amp's clean channel.

Reliability : 8
Well, that's just the thing. One hears good and bad things about Behringer stuff, but this amp delivers. I take care of my gear, so perhaps this is why I've never had a problem with my GMX110. As such, I'd expect it to work fine. It's a 30 watt amp, so I'm not going to gig with it. Using it for home use/practice is what this amp is intended for. So far, it's given me no problems whatsoever. Take care of your gear and you shouldn't have any problems.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I've never had to deal with the company, so I have no opinion on their customer support.

Overall Rating : 8
For the price, the Behringer GMX110 is definitely a bang for the buck amp. It comes loaded with features that will keep novices and intermediate players busy for hours, plus it has a nice clean channel to play through. Yes, there are better 30 watt amps out there, but for $150 bucks you won't find one with the same features as this one.

I'll skip the specs as you probably know them already if you've done your research. Great features for a little amp! The clean channel is fine sounding (not as good as a Fender), but very close. I tested it with a Strat and it sounded real good - this is important. We all know the modeling distortions and FX sounds are great and state-of-the art by now on most of these amps. It may not be the best looking amp, but I've seen and played much worse. The digital displays kinda make it look cool!

Sound Quality : 10
This amp can get real loud and has a tight sound due to it's small cabinet. That's good. The clean channel punchs it way quite well and all the distortions will cut thru loud and clear. Great sounding effects - very quiet with flexible combinations. Plenty of effects to play around with which makes practicing fun. This amp is really meant for practice but it could hold it's own for jams.

Reliability : 9
Yes, Behringer produces these things cheaply and quickly. The designs are great and I guess you have to get a good one. I've had the V-Amp for four years and no problems. I also have various Behringer studio rack processors and never had a problem. I got this amp used and it looks like it was played quite a bit, so I'm hoping if it lasted this long, it should last a long time.

Customer Support : 1
Yes. forget it.

Overall Rating : 10
For the money, this is great amp. I've tried lots of small combos and it's hard to find ones that have a good sounding clean channel along with good distortions. They all seem to have channel switching, but lack a balance. I also have the Behringer modeling pedal which has the same three modeling combos which they don't make anymore. You'll lots of fun exporing all the effects and distortions which is what playing is all about!

I bought the Behringer as a practice amp. I was pleased with some of the other Behringer gear I had purchased and was pleased initially with this model. It was versatile, inexpensive, portable, and it sounded very good for the price range. Read on.

Sound Quality : 9
Good sounding at both low and mid-to-high volumes. The range of effects is impressive and they can be tweaked and saved. I was pleasantly surprised that an amp could deliver these features at that price point. Read on.

Reliability : 2
The GMX110 crapped out after less than 20 hours of use. I couldn't send it back because by that time I had owned it for more than three months. It had been used in a temperature controlled environment and had not been on the road at all. In fact, it had hardly been physically moved around. Anyway, I plugged it up one day while watching TV and all I got was static and hum on the effects channel and very low gain (about 10 percent of the signal)on the clean channel. Switched the cable, tried different instruments, checked the speaker connections, etc. To no avail. The thing just gave up.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have owned many Behringer devices -- amps, mixers, pre-amps. Had considered buying a 2-12 combo. No more. This was my last Behringer purchase.

Overall Rating : 1
Been playing 40+ years. During that time I've owned enough equipment to fill an 18-wheeler and I've seen amp manufacturers come and go. My quest for a good, dependable practice amp got side tracked with the Behringer, but I found a dandy little Traynor to fill the need. There is no excuse for a piece of equipment to fail after 20 hours of playing time. Maybe I should have put more hours on it during the warranty period to see if it would hold up. Anyway, from this experience, Behringer has lost me as a customer as well as most of my music-playing associates. Cheers.

Behringer gives you alot for the money. However, it falls short in the tone dept. I will explain in detail below. The amp comes with load of FX and 2 distortion preamps with 3 different gain level selection and 3 diff cab models which really are 3 preset EQs IMO. Mine came with Bugera speakers instead of Jensen and was made in Aug 2004. They even throw in a 2 button footpedal, which is worth probably about 30-40 bucks alone. I would give it 10 in features, but these days, there are so many major amp makers who are coming closer to behringer's features with less wattage but better tone.

Sound Quality : 3
I play all kinds from acoustic, rock, blues, and metal. Here is where the amp falls seriously short. Just like many modelers, the tone does not cut through and the harmonics and color and depth are lost. If you don't know what all that means, go listen to Vox's Valvetronix or any good tube amp. I am not a tube head, but unless you've heard tube amps, you won't understand what i mean. It's also very hard to get that breaking distortion tone and the tone gets worse when the volume is fading as you hold the note. It even falls short of a good solid state amp. It always feels like there is a thin blanket or film over the tone, and when you try to clear it up with upping the high EQ, it only makes it sound thinner and your still left with a film. One thing where the film might actually be usefull is to duplicate an acoustic tone. But that's about all it's good for. It's not good for blues, it might do ok for rock, and it sure cannot handle heavy metal or any metal for that matter.

I just got it so i don't know. The make seems ok.

20 yrs off and on. If it were stolen, i wouldn't miss it. I'll prolly try to end up selling it later. If you crank up the volume, it sounds a lil better but not by much. This amp really does not inspire me to play . I'm only giving this a 5 rating cuz the price is the cheapest for this wattage and features.

Just great, try and find another amp in this price range and having 30 watts RMS with this many features. Even a footswitch has been included.

Sound Quality : 9
I think - again in regard of the price - that it will be hard for all those other manufacturers to beat Behringer in sense of bang-for-the-buck.

This little monster sounds really good, as well the clean channel as those overdriven models. Maybe ab bit flat in the clean area, but nevertheless good. Distortion sounds cool, you just have to find you "personal" setting, which suits you best.

Reliability : 9
Seems to be well built - no Problem so far.
No crackling pots or anything alike. Very sturdy chassis.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Not needed so far.

Overall Rating : 10
Have been making music more than 20 years, playing various instruments like piano, drums and saxophone. Have been working as an audio engineer in Germany for 5 years now. Been playing guitar for a couple of years now (3 i think).

If stolen, i would probably buy another GMX110 or maybe a Roland Cube30... like them both.

Compared it to the small Fender and Marshall Amps as well as the Roland Cubes. Liked the Cube best, directly followed by the Behringer (which was less expensive and more versatile). After this came the Marshall, which performed o.k. and last (and least) the Fender Frontman, which i did?t like much (crappy crunch!).

Summa summarum: This little Box does ist all, sounds great for the money and seems to be loud enough for smaller gigs at moderate volumes. Get one yourself I?d say!

Sound Quality : 7
Sounds pretty good, but there is a drawback

Reliability : 1
Here is the drawback.

I am on my 3rd GMX110 and my 4th GMX212. They have all failed. The GMX110 had problems with no or low outputs in the tape/rec out and the GMX212 fails to switch channels and produces incredibly large amounts of hum when I use my telecaster.

My dealer is so racked off with these Behringer amps he has now stopped stocking them due to the returns he is getting. We both agree it is a crying shame because these amps do sound so good.

I tried 7 !!!! Behringer amps and none worked, I think it is time I threw the towel in :(

Customer Support : 2
Throughout my problems and those of many others, the key word was always swapout. It would have been good if Behringer looked at why these amps fail so much and modifed the product to work.

Feature wise, its got everything. 2 channels, effects processor, tuner, spkr. out, tape ins & outs, midi control. Behringer gives you mass bang for the buck here- this amp is perfect for a first amp or anyone need ing a great sounding practice amp.

Sound Quality : 10
worked well with my strats & sg & fernandes. the basic amp sounds are all great. I think the key to its good sound may be its analog. the thing sounds amaziingly tube like. You can get real fendery cleans to boogie sustain and marshall crunch. its pretty loud and thru my marshall 4x12 it was loud enough for a gig. The effects only has one adjust unless you use midi, then you can adjust three parameters. kind of a bummer but with 99 fx presets you can usually find something that will work. most of the fx sound great too, i really liked the chorus & rotary spkr. I wish this amp was available when I started and at 170.00(street) is a bargain. they even include a sturdy footswitch to select channel, fx on/off. Wow!

been playing 15 years and would recommend highly. I tried fender practice amp with fx(sucked) line 6(distortions sounded cheap & buzzy) roland microcube which sounded great unless you turned it past 3 and this one is way better. Forget the big names and overhyped digital amps. this analog amp puts them to shame in this price catagory. i guess they must try harder. did i mention they include the footswitch?

I've played acoustic guitar for years and just bought an electric. Played a lot of amps and got confused about what I wanted, except it had to under $150 and give me as much flexibility as I could get to explore the different sounds I could get. I initially bought a 15w Crate at Guitar Center, mainly because it had a built-in tuner, an overdrive, and 16 preset effects. It was OK but had no output to feed my mixer, so I traded it in for this GMX110. Wow, it's got the kitchen sink built-in. I can plug in my drum machine, has tape, speaker, and headphone outs. Has a tuner, 27 amp models, and 99 effects that can be adjusted, plus a dual pedal. Amp modeling only works with channel on. I've enjoyed it now for 3 months just for learning all the different sounds you can get from an electric guitar. Also I think having a built-in tuner is a VERY convenient time saver.

Sound Quality : 7
I use this with a Schecter w humbukers and a single coil tap. It's my first amp, but it sounds great to me, especially with headphones. I have taken both the tape out and headphone out to a mixer for both recording and to a PA and it sounds very nice. I'm amazed at the flexibility and the different sounds you can get from this amp. I know it sounds better than the $150 15w Crate I originally bought.

Reliability : 6
Well, the first one I bought, the tape out did not work, but Guitar Center gladly replaced it 2 weeks after I bought it. As others have suggested, test everything and make sure everything works within the first few weeks so that you can return it if need be. For all that you get for the price, some corners must have been cut. Hey, what do you want, it's only $170.

Customer Support : No Opinion
All I know is Guitar Center has a 30 day return, beyond that....? Hopefully I won't need to deal with Behringer on a return.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
Great starter amp or second amp with great flexibility, effects, etc.. Today, if stolen, I would replace. As I get more experience I will undoubtedly upgrade in the future as I determine what specific sounds I like (dam, I like 'em all). Don't regret my purchase yet.

This is an update from my previous review. My first GMX110 had a crackly master volume knob. My second GMX110 had no signal through the tape outputs, so back to Guitar Center it went. At that point I had had enough so decided to look around some more, and wound up blowing some serious money on a Fender Hot Rod Deville. HA! My advice if you plan to purchase this amp is to do so through a dealer that will have a generous return policy and play the hell out of it for that period. It's a good sounding amp (although it pales in comparison to the Hot Rod, but at that price difference it should).

Sounds great, but like all modeling units I've used, it can get screechy on the highs and fart out on the lows. Get the EQ just right for your guitar and it's all good from there, but every once in a while there's that goddamn fart/screech.

Reliability : No Opinion
Sadly, this is where you are going to have problems with this line of products. I just returned my second unit (the first had a scratchy master volume pot, this latest having nothing except a hum coming from the line/headphone out and tape out)

Guitar center took both amps back with no problems.

Unfortunately, these amp just don't have the quality components that their Tech21 brethren possess. They sound great once the EQ is just right. I wound up spending quite a bit more money on a Fender Hot Rod Deville 4X10...it does't fart out on the lows and get screechy on the highs like all of the modeling stuff seems to do, and gets the tone of the gods...although it's not as flexible as the GMX110.

This is a new GMX110 V-Tone produced in July of 2004. It features an analog modeling channel that is more than reminiscent of the Tech 21 Trademark 10 (more on that later), a clean channel, switchable digital effects, 30 watts, a 10" Jensen speaker, MDF cabinet covered with black tolex-like plastic with plastic corner guards, a footswitch (switches the digital effects on and off and the clean/modeled channel), and effects loop and a tuner. It's a very versatile little amp as long as the sounds you are after fall into the Fender/Marshall/Mesa catagory, although other amps can be modeled by playing with the active tone controls. I don't intend to use the digital effects other than reverb (I wish it had the spring reverb like the Tech21, but this is pretty good digital reverb). The amp has a speaker out and headphone out that both silence the amp's speaker...I don't like that. My intention is to use this amp in conjunction with my Tech 21 Power Engine 60. Fortunately, there is an effects loop, so I can direct the send to the PE60 (no reverb, but I can live with that) without silencing the amp speaker.

Sound Quality : 8
I own three guitars....a mid 80's Japan made Squier Stratocaster (my baby) currently loaded with American Series pickups, a new Squier Standard Telecaster (These are really good Teles, if you can find a good one!), and a 2003 Ibanez Artcore AFS75T (thinline hollowbody with two humbuckers and a Bigsby). My buddy picked up a Tech 21 Trademark 10 and I just fell in love with the little amp, went to check out a used one at the GC and it was broken, so I passed. Then I happened to spot this amp and remembered that there was some discussion on the 'net about the Behringer Analog Modeling amps being a direct rip-off of the Tech21 Trademarks. So I tried it and I heard the same wonderful sounds, so I took her home. Saved some serious cash over a new Trademark 10. ;-) Anyways, I took it over to my buddy's house and we basically A/B'd the two amps. We set them to exactly the same settings and let me tell you without reservation....these are the same fucking amps! The primary differences is the bigger cabinet and bigger 10" speaker spell more bass. Otherwise...the amp has the same great touch sensitivy, responsiveness, and sound as the Tech 21. These amps (Both Tech 21 and the Behringer) are dynamite amps! You'd swear there were tubes in these little stinkers! I don't know what other reviewers have been smoking, but I can honestly say these amps are just great. Period.

Reliability : No Opinion
This is where I wonder the most about this amp. Behringer had to cut some corners to produce this amp so cheaply, and I'm guessing this happened in two areas: Cosmetics - while the Tech21 looks like a vintage high quality piece of equipment, the Behringer looks like a cheap Crate solid state amp (not that all Crates are cheap junk). That's too bad because so many players are going to dismiss this amp based on appearance..I know I would have! I also believe that the Behringer's knobs are probably mounted directly on the PCB, so I have to be careful with those. Tech21's knobs could be mounted the same way also, but the knobs are more safely out of the way. The other area I suspect that Behringer might have stretched a bit on was internal components, although I have no idea if they did. The transformer is HUGE on this thing, where on the Tech21 you can't even find it. Maybe it will be ok, maybe it won't. We'll see.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't used it. I'm scared of the Germans. Just kidding.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for 24 years. My other amps are an old Gibson Skylark GA-5 that is now for sale, and a Tech 21 Power Engine 60 that I used to amplify my Johnson J-Station (which will now be relagated to recording duty only). I wish it had the XLR and 1/4" outputs like the Tech21. Bottom line...don't let the children who wrote the other reviews for this amp fool you. If you're a tube purist who hates dealing with cranky old tube amps, this amp, or the more expensive Tech21, might be right up your alley.

Bought this as a practice amp for rehearsing with my rock/blues band. Needed something small, inexpensive, and liked the modelling and effects. Beringer advertises Jensen speakers (they are), but they are not the vintage alnico 10 inch Jensens that are used by Fender, Mesa and Victoria.

Sound Quality : 5
I play mainly Tele's and found the modelling channel good and versitile, but this amp really lacked bottom end, and the sound overall was a little muddy. Effects were good too, but the effects and modelling were like good icing on a bad cake to this Telemeister.

I took it back to GC after fooling with it for 2 weeks. Last straw was playing through my Mesa Rocket 440 for the first time since buying the Beringer (I fell in love with my Mesa again). Will look for a used small Fender or Mesa tube amp for practice.

This amp has more than enough features for practicing in my bedroom at home. Actually bought it for my son who is just beginning to play, but find myself playing with it for hours as it has lots of very useful features. I've been playing for so longer than I care to admit (30 years) and have bought, sold and demoed TONS of gear, so I'm think I have a vague idea what works and what doesn't. This footswitch-selectable two channel amp can create a huge palette of tones and has a three band EQ section that is very effective. A bank of 99 non-user settable effects presets have a least a few interesting and useful functions. The reverbs are decent (for a $150 amp) and the pitch shifting effects are quite good. Stereo RCA input and output jacks are provided, which I have not used as of yet, as well as a convenient headphone jack. The channel/effects footswitch (provided) is very rugged. Its feather weight makes it a perfect practice amp IMHO.

Sound Quality : 9
Let me say that the tone through headphones is almost better than the amplified tone through the speaker. You could easily record tracks from the headphone jack. Not the Jensen speaker is not bad sounding. If anything, it seems to have a fairly flat, uncolored response. I get the impression that Beringher essentially wrapped a power amp and speaker cab around the V-AMP and, VOILA, V-Tone. The V-Tone must have built-in noise suppression because it is very quiet when you aren't playing and it doesn't kill your tone when you are. The clean tones are fairly dull. On the distortion/OD channel, you can get tones ranging from smokey tweed, through overdriven blackface Fender and early Marshall, into high-gain territory and beyond. Amazing tonal pallette for an amp in this price range. I concur with previous posts stating that the midrange has to be goosed to get the volume of the amp up, at which point the amp tends to sound a bit boxey. For bedroom use, this problem is easily worked around.

Reliability : No Opinion
Not sure yet about reliability. The effect jack nut fell off within two weeks (probably vibrated off). No major problems yet.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 9
Great bang for the buck. Great set of features and tonal options in its price range. Light weight. Hopefully low maintenance (solid-state). Very pleased with this purchase.

As listed in prior reviews, there are 99 effects including many reverb
sounds. It has more features than I generally use but I'll take them

I use the amp mainly at home which is why I bought it.
It can be moved around to different rooms or taken on vacation
very easily.
I like the size, weight and control layout very much.
The cabinet work is good but like most amps in this range
one must be careful of the fragile pots. It is good these
are somewhat protected by the cabinet edges.

The double footswitch is easy to use and all steel.

All my other amps are older Fender tube amps, I was hoping to
emulate them decently on the GX110.

Sound Quality : 9
Used with 2 Fender Telecasters and 1 Fender Stratocaster.
It works fine for all styles played - blues, rock, R&B, soul,
country, funky jazz, etc. I don't use much distortion (gain)
but set that channel for a bit (gain = 2-3). That gets a decent
early '70s British amp type sound.
The clean and boost channels are very good once the controls
were dialed in. It took me about 15-20 minutes of knob turning!
I have to run the mid range at 9-10 for both channels.

I found this to be important in not only getting a good full tone
but also to get the amp output up. The speaker also seems at it's
best with this. I have not had any unwanted distortion problems
but have not really opened it up all the way as it is fairly
load for 30 watts RMS SS.

Settings used are master 10, treble 7-8, bass 8-9, vol 8 clean,
9 boost channel. I vary these settings a little between guitars.
but mostly just treble and base controls a bit.
(All 3 guitars used have single coil pickups)
The only noise I found was slight when using delay or anything
that combines with it. It is only noticeable when not playing.
Otherwise it is very quiet.
The variety of reverbs, low compression and slow tremolo
are very good.
The other effects like rotating speaker are also but I
rarely turn them on.

Like mentioned all my other amps are older Fender tube amps, I
was hoping to emulate a SFDR or SFVR decently on the GX110.
I got closer to the Vibrolux and probably because of the 10"
speaker. Actually it is more like a recorded tube amp sound
coming through studio monitors.
The clean channel is used mainly and other for boost
and a bit of grit. The amp has some tube like compression.

Reliability : 9
So far after 6 months only one odd occurance.
After running the amp for ~ 3 hours the sound output
dropped off drastically. I turned it off. The next day it
was fine. the problem has not returned but I haven't
used it beyond 2 hours since.
I did contact Behringer by email to ask about it.
They said I could return it if the problem continued.
Their reply was prompt. I have a 2 year warranty.

Customer Support : No Opinion
The CS support as mentioned was friendly and prompt.
I have a 2 year warranty. The second year was added
from American Musical Supply whom I purchased from.

Overall Rating : 9
I would probably buy another one if stolen or destroyed.
It's really a fine amp for the price and has a lot of
features I like. Probably a better grade speaker would
improve the sound but the stock Jensen is not bad considering
the price of the amp.

This is a review of the new Behringer GMX110 amp. It looks like a real nice practice amp, maybe you could gig with it if the stock speaker was scraped. It has 2 channels with a footswitch included. The footswitch has two pedals one to control the channels and the other to buzz through the 99 effects in the amp. It's a solid state amp. It has lots of new modern features that the older amps don't have. It's equiped with a Jensen speaker, it looks like one of their economy "Mod" models. If your interested in playing at loud volumes or want a better sounding tone I think the Jensen speaker should be replaced. I really don't see how this cheap Jensen speaker could compete soundwise with a higher quality speaker like a celestion or a weber.

Sound Quality : 8
This is a very versatle amp especially for the money you pay for it. If you are a serious pro guitarist I don't think this would be the ultimate end-all amp for you. It's great as a practice amp it weighs only 25 pounds and the amp won't make you go deaf trying to get a decent tone. The amp has some cool reverb functions but they can't really match a high quality spring reverb unit. If your looking for a 60's surf drip sound do not buy this amp, get an amp with a high quality spring reverb installed. The effects are all nice even though I have no real use for them. They seem to be of better quality and sound better than the effects on those ZOOM multi effects boxes. The amp has the 3 modeling switches which are the same as on my 15 watt GM 108 V-tone. I can't really notice any difference in the sounds that the modeling switches produce between the 2 amps. Very versatle soundwise of course with all the effects and amp modeling features.

I hope I got a good one. I'm sure it will last a while. I'm keeping all the knobs at zero when I power up to be on the safe side.

One year warranty from Behringer. Of course the amp would cost more with that 5 year stuff Marshall and Fender offer. Musicians friend offer me an extra year warranty for something like 11 bucks, good deal considering it's a behringer amp which have reputations for breaking down.

Overall Rating : 10
I'm not to sure why I purchased this amp because I don't need it. I guess I'm more of a collector of sort and less of a player. I also have a Marshall AVT20 amp. The Marshall has a better tone, a better speaker, is much louder and sounds less boxey than the Behringer GMX110. The Marshall weighs 32 pounds which is too much for a practice amp. It's also to loud to use as a bedroom amp. My Marshall has collected a lot of dust the 3 years I have had it. The Behringer is a better practice amp for me because of it's lighter weighter and lower volume. The Marshall has a better reverb than the Behringer and has that Marshall mystique being made in Britan and all. The Behringer is a rice box and doen't have the great history of Marshall amps. I guess my Marshall is more of a relic so to speak. I purchased this at musicians friend for 149.99. The price had gone up to 170 dollars but they gave me a break because the catalog price was different. The Behringer is an excellent amp for the money. Behringer seems to be the champ of amp makers as far as bang for buck. I think the amps a great buy, go get one.

The Behringer GMX210 is the brand new model and is the repacement of the GX210. It has 2 channels and it is a real modelling amplifier. I use this amp at home. Tis because it has all the features I want.

Sound Quality : 4
I used this amp with a Gibson SG. My first impression was very good. But when i turned up the master and drive. Played a open chord the sound is cracking. I contacted my dealer and he contacted Behringer, and yes there seems to be a BUG in this new amplifier related to this cracking.

Reliability : 4
Behringer has always used good parts in there amplifiers. And are loved by many guitarplayers. My amp and many others are back to Behringer because of the bug. I think this amplifier was released to soon.

The contacts with Behringer are very good. But they could not help me at short terms because of the bug. The advised me to switch the amplifier with one of the others in the Behringer range like the older GX210 and GX212 wich are perfect guitaramplifiers with many good features.

Overall Rating : 4
My overall rating is not so good. When you release a new amplifier at least the sound must be good. I hope they will solve this problem at very short time. Then it can be one of the best modelling amplifiers at this moment.

Behringer, GMX 110 Combo amp,30 watts.1 10 inch Jensen spk,analog Modeling on one channel,99 fx presets,tuner,headphone jack,cd/tape in/out,effectloop,ex spk jack. 3clasic amp models,3 spk simulations,3 gain modes,Just like tech 21 tradmark 10.Active tone controls.This amp just came out Feb-9-2004

Sound Quality : 10
I am useing a Yamaha SGV with p 90 style pickups,Gretsch 6120 hollow body. The clean channel sounds very good with plenty of low end punch good mids not as scooped out as a fender but fatter sounding. The modeling side lets you choose Fender,British.or Cali amp models, and all sound excellent, This is not Digital Modeling it is analog and what a diference it makes. It has a very rich sound at any setting none of that high pitch sound of Fender/ Marshall solid state amps. The effects sound very good with no noise. A little noise comes through with the master set at 6 and higher. It handles the hummbuckers great with a ton of low end if you like that sound. I would have to say it is a solid 30 watts rms it gets pretty loud. You can get any distortion sound from mild overdrive to all out metal. All so the built in tuner works very well, activates with included footswitch, sound is muted when useing tuner.I play Surf,Country, Fingerstyle,It sounds great for all of them. I thought i would miss the spring reverb tank, but they have 15 great sounding reverbs to select from, with 2 spring selections that sound excellent.

It seams like a well built unit, i would gig with it without a backup. Only had this a week no problems.

I have been playing for 30 years.I gave up a tradmark 10 amp for this a very popular amp. But this is the amp Tech 21 should have made, larger spk more pwr, channel switching,99 fx to choose from ,handles Hollow body guitars much better, over all tone is better,at half the price.Much louder. This amp was purchased from Musicians Friend, great company to deal with, never have had a problem with the people.I would like to say i have owned,Yamaha,Line 6, johnson and crate modeling amps and none of these sound as warm as this Behringer amp. Very rich sounding.
