Made 2005, 2 ch solid state amp with effects, 2 x10in Jensen spkrs. I use this amp mainly in British hi-gain/hot mode with assigned reverb effect number 12 or with one of the delay settings?
I would say this amp is best suited for anything from blues thru to metal but if its a loud clean sound you are after, forget it!!
Anyone who wants more features in this thing for the money must be deluded. You couldn't pack more into an amplifier for the $.
Have used this thing at rehearsals with a loud drummer and it has no problem being heard. Loads of power thru the British mode settings.

Suits s/coil or humbuckers. Seems to be noisy whenoverdriven, though this may be due to the wiring in the house, as it isnt apparent at rehearsal.
Good saturated tube emulation sounds to be had all the way up to metal. The EQ controls are very effective and make a big difference to overall tone.
Heres the thing - I cant believe people rave about the Tweed clean sound in the amp, to me it is a waste of time. Unless Behringer have changed things in the past few years since this was made. It is just not possible to get a loud clean sound at all, puts out about 1 watt in comparison with the hot amp modes.

Been playing a long time, owned lots of valve amps and for just sitting around and plugging in, try one of these. There cant be many amps out there that sound this good for so few $!
Just love the British Hot mode, hate the clean mode cause it just hasn't got any volume to it. You could have it set to 10 and the Hot channel would be at around 2 to 3 to balance the volumes, enough said.
Can you gig with it? Maybe not, due to the above volume disparity when in Tweed mode. If you are playing heavier style music, it would be up to the job.

I'll tell you the guy that said buy it yesterday was dead on.I bought it just to have a little amp in the living room to jam on and low and behold this little amp kicks but.I've always hated solid state amps till i played this one.After a few tweeks the clean channel sounded better then the vos blues jr i just sold.

I use a lp and a strat w/texas specials and a frankie and all sound great through this amp.It can go from VH to SRV in other words if you can't find a your tone with this....It is noisy on the dirt channel but nothing worse then the vos i had or the supersonic i still have.But most of all i really love the clean channel and the stereo effects.The bugera 2x10's are not bad at all i was thinking before i got it i was going to change out the speakers but no need they sound great.I'm tempted to use it at are next gig it sounds that good.BTW it has a cool little footswitch that comes with it.

I've been playing and gigging for 30 yrs and have played many amps and this one is a winner.Will it replace my Supersonic? No!If were stolen i'd buy another in a heartbeat.To me this a great little amp with great tube tone and plenty volume for small gigs and my living room.Buy it tweek it you can't go wrong.The only thing that would worrie me is the plastic stems on the controls, people have complained they have broken off and i can see that happening if your rough with your gear.

The sound was tweaked to match my $1200 Marshal best it could.
all the EQ at max...the effect set to 90 (compressor)..there was a familiar modeling going on. I was impressed.

I had to fix this thing and wound up having to tear into.
I came upon it because it was deemed broken and I fixed it. Just basic stuff like the cheaper input plug everyone seems to be putting on the amps these days! Why won't they spend the extra $2!! We'll all pay the extra $2 for a good input jack!!

I guess for the money its pretty loaded.
I imagine a lot of kids wind up getting pissed because basic things like the input jack stops working so it renders the amp useless to non-repair types...so for that a 4.

Mine's brand new - 1 week old, so I figure it was made this year. All the features have been covered, so I won't be redundant. All I can say is after 45 years of playing guitar and every amp out there, that Fender, Marshall, Peavey and VOX better get it together or Behringer is going to take over. This amp is just friggin loaded with features for the price and it is AWESOME! I will play anything you want to play and no effect pedals are needed because it comes with a footswitch. Even has a tuner.

This amp just totally blew me away. It's solid state, but you can't tell it by listening to it. All that's missing is the light show that the tube amps put on. Acoustic sounds, clean blues, dirty blues, blues rock, classic rock, electric folk, funk, hard rock, metal - you name it and you got it with this amp. It's only 30 watts with 2 10 inch Jenson speakers but it is ever bit loud enough to gig with - nearly as loud as my old VOX AC 30. Clean channel stays clean and the distortion can be as brutal as you want it. I'm mostly a strat person, but I have my strats set up - 1 with 3 single coils, texas specials, 1 with 3 single coils, vintage noiseless, 1 with a mighty mite mother bucker at the bridge and two texas specials for the middle and neck and one with two mighty mite mother buckers. I also have an Epiphone Pro that's been modified for the EVH look with one single Golden Age humbucker at the bridge. All of these guitars are excellent guitars and this amp sounds just incredible with all of them - single coils, humbuckers, it don't matter. I play blues, blues rock, classic rock, hard rock and have my metal moods and I'm not easily impressed by gear. But, like I said - this amp blew me away and it is I repeat LOUD.

Been playing 45 years. I've got way too much gear to list. Not being a braggart, but all kinds of friends and family have given me stuff, I've bought guitars and amps at yard sales and fixed them up and over the last 35 years of adulthood, I've pretty much tried to buy one guitar a year and an amp every other year. Some of them I keep, when I don't want to keep them, I donate them to the church. Some of them I get just to donate. I love his amp - period. Best bang fo buck - period.

The features of this amp for the price are incredible 99 effects (only one at a time which kinda sucks just my opinion though), 60 watts, two 10" bugera speakers which sound great, 3 amp models, 3 speaker models and 3 gain modes and 2 channels. Okay well i play all kinds of rock anywhere from coldplay to slayer and metallica and this amp alongside my ibanez rg321 can do it all. Back to the effects, those in themself are amazing but i just wish u could use more than one at once and this beast also comes with a footswitch oh i almost forgot it has a built in tuner. best features vs. price on the market

ok now listen good the first thing i would like to say to all you TONE-SNOBS IS THAT BEHRINGERS REP ISN'T BAD BECAUSE OF SOUND QUALITY IT IS THAT THEY ARENT THE MOST SONICALLY CONSISTENT eg. one might sound completely different to the other so but the good ones sound f*&$#g great. Mine is a good one actually great one as said before i play coldplay to metallica and this is great i have had mine 18 months and once the speakers "break in" it sounds beatiful. On the tweed you get a beatiful sparkly clean, flip the tweed mode to the hot mode and put the bass on 4 (it has a lot of bass) mids on ten and treble on ten and you would be fooled into thinking you were playing a fender hot rod deluxe, trust me people have been fooled. Okay now getting into classic rock (AC/DC, guns n roses) this is the closest you are gonna come to a marshall without actually having a marshall logo on your amp. (bass 3, mids 10, treb 10, brit, hot, uk speaker). seriously this amp sounds tubey put in the setting i just said use the bridge h'bucker tone right down and you have a November rain solo sound. Ok getting heavy (Calif, hot, u.s speaker) i love this sound it doesnt sound as tubey as the others but i love this. It is a lovely rich and tight distortion i would say i use this most for rhythm but i use the marshall tone for a lead sound because it cuts through more. the worst thing is that it is noisy not clean only distorted (but i think thats the powerpoint i use-near the computer) but use the compressor to completely reduce buzz hum feedback and its great you wouldn't know it was on. it is more than enough to satisfy mine and my agro ibanez's needs and if you want people to compliment you on your tone use this and you cant go wrong.

i cant really say to much about the reliability but as i said i got a good one. if you are considering getting a new amp but are a bit strapped for cash check this out but play a couple of the same amp to make sure you get a good one (not a bad one that people bag behringer for but dw its only really tone-snobs with their overpriced gear and big egos that bag behringer anyways) SO DONT BUY ONLINE. PHYSICALLY GO TO YOUR LOCAL SHOP AND GET THE BEST SOUNDING ONE THEY HAVE TRUST ME YOU WONT BE SORRY! my rating is low because with behringer you dont really know what your gonna get but do as i say and purchase the amp you try and you cannot go wrong. PLEASE dont buy overpriced crap consider this amp.

i have been playing guitar for about 4 years now and i used to own a ashton 40 watt combo sold that to get this and man was i happy. basically i love the tube like sound of the british and tweed settings and the lovely fluid drive of the calif oh yeah and if you want a the foo fighters best of you guitar tone at the start use this on a clean calif setting with the speaker on u.k and you'll be happy. if it were stolen (which i would hope not) i would probably save up and get a real tube amp peavey classic 30 or valveking but i will never trade it in or sell it because i love the tone and hopefully one day i can do a bit of recording with it and the only real critism i have is that most tonesnobs have never played behringer gear but they bag it and give them a bad name. just because something is cheap (like this) doesn't mean it is crap and because something is expensive doesn't necessarily mean it is good.
Also i wish you could use multiple effects at the same time but honestly that is the only downer because it is easily loud enough to play a gig. but do yourself a favour and try this amp before buying an expensive overpriced thing that your gonna get sick of, because remember this has 99 effects A+ chorus, reverb, delay and compressor and 27 possible sound combinations (well thats what the website says) before you even turn a knob. just try behringer forget about tone snobbery and let your ears do the work for you ps. it only gets better because once the speakers have broken in those highs really sparkle and it actually literally sounds like you are playing a fender hot rod deluxe, the genuine marshall sorry british mode sounds exactly like a crunchy marshall clean or dirty the clean also breaks up a bit if you play hard like me which i like and the calif is buitiful for the heavy distortion not really solos just rhythm i use the british for lead. but anyways thats all for now. DONT SNOB BEHRINGER especially if youve never played them, but do yourself a favour and get a good sounding one of these and you will be happy

yes, it is well versitile enough for my playing style. I mostly play classic rock sounding stuff, not covers, just the stuff I write sounds like it. The sounds I'm usually going for range from clean Mark Knopfler to dirty stuff like 80s KISS and the Scorpions. This amp can easily handle it, it's got 2 channels which is enough for me, and it has a bunch of DSP effects. it comes with a footswitch and it has an AUX in/out and MIDI input along with a headphone jack.
The main thing I wish this amp had was real spring reverb. I just like it. I'm not a huge fan of all the digital effects, I just bought it cuz it's cheap and big for its price. there are 100 or so effects on this thing, and I probably use about 5 of them all. I guess it's pretty versitile, but only iif you don't like to tweak your tone, you just let the manufacturer set a binch of presets. 2 10 inch Jensen speakers

This amp is the best souding solid state amp ever. The cleans are absolutely gorgeous on the tweed setting (it has a tweed setting, British setting (Marshall Wannabe) and American (just a more fat sounding distortion) The tweed setting is meant to emulate that clear fender sound, and it does a great job, and then you kick it into overdrive and you get that characteristic warm tube sound (but a little thin which sucks a bit)
I think the distortion on this amp is perfect for me. Most people seem to hate this amps distortion, but I absolutely love it, it's smooth and punchy and the highs and mids and lows are all very defined, especially when you play chords, but it has excellent sustain as well. You can't get a very metal saturated distortion sound, so I wouldn't recommend this for any of you metalheads out there, but the sustain is still great on it without too much gain (although that might just be the hard-ash body with a brass nut and steel saddles talking)
I play a homemade strat through it (homemade, not ab- warmoth/mighty mite frankenstein, a homemade fat strat) the pickups I uuse are two fender american strat single coils in the neck and mid and a gibson paf style in the bridge. the amp is never too noisy when I use the hum, but at higher volumes and with distortion and single coils, that's where this amp has issues. when clean though, there is little to no noise at any volume, but I wouldn't know about on stage cuz I haven't gigged it yet. for the money though, this think fucking screams! I will warn you though, this amp can seriously get really really loud. it will shake the house at 4/10 volume, so be careful.

yeah, thats one of those things that sucks about this amp. the knobs are really cheap and want to break. just be careful, or you can replace them, suit yourself. I think it will last though, it's pretty durable. just don't drop it. it's heavy

great buy, I got this one for 1/3 of the price, and if your a newly gigging musician and need a cheap amp that has a lot of balls, this is the one for you. that is, iff you can handle what most people would call "weak distortion" but I think it's fine, I don't even use my DS-1 any more cuz the distortion on this is much much better, very warm but clear. I love this amp and I plan on buying a speaker extension to get it even more loud!

Well we all know how excited behringer got over this little amp... and its not all undue. 99 effects presets, stereo power amps, amp modelling, speaker modelling, and distortion modelling. Tons of features, and that's really where this amp shines, unfortunately its a little superficial. The good thing about this amp though is that it has about a million jacks in the back, including AUX Input, which is probably the most useful feature on this amp.
Even though this was my first gigging amp and i have since graduated to better things, i still use this amp ALL THE TIME, because I stick the ext. speaker jack from my 1x12 5 Watt Class A combo into the AUX Input jack of my 2x10 behringer, giving me 65 watts of class-A fury! This way I can also run the amps in stereo giving me a natural chorusing effect. I can be more technical about this setup, just e-mail me. But in short, you can simply pickup a Valve Jr. for $100 and add it to this amp (using this amp as a powered extension cab) and for $300 you have a pretty awesome rig :).

Okay I use a few pedals with this amp (Tube Overdrive---->Crybaby----->USA BIG MUFF PI), and I play through them with my Fender Telecaster, and a HSS Frankenstrat I put together. The first thing you notice is that this amp is extremely noisy (even with humbuckers). The sound was very dissapointing. There are a few sweet spots in the amp, but most of them are achieved through the help of pedals, and the rest get noisy and lose their clean when you turn them up. There isn't enough low-end to the sound...not enough to satisfy my big muff anyway. The cleans are very muddy and not crisp at all, unless you play the british setting with the speaker model on flat, and the treble and mids all the way up, while utilizing the expanding model. This gets you a LITTLE bit close to a vox sound, but nowhere near as good as a vox ad50vt (which i think is a GREAT alternative to this amp). I don't play with lots of distortion, but I noticed that even with low amounts of overdrive, this amp gets very hissy, and there isn't enough drive to play metal without getting loads of feedback. The "TWEED" channel is horrible. It sounds very un-fender, and is extremely quiet and muddy.
I mainly play a mix of blues, jazz fusion and alternative rock, and this amp falls short for me, I can get a pretty good fusion setting with the #38 chorus preset and running my tube OD with the amps drive on about 6 and the treble and mids cranked with bass on about 6.

You would think this amp would be reliable wouldn't you? Solid state after all... but I really just don't think behringer puts enough build quality behind these amps. It broke down on me once during a gig, and it was a terrible experience. I don't have any reservations about using it as a backup in the future and running it stereo with my other amp (a Carvin Vintage 16).

On the bright side, I bought it from AMS, who backed it up for an extra year (so that's two years including behringer's warranty).

I've been playing for about 5 years, and I've been gigging a lot. I own the pedals I've listed already, plus my Telecaster and Frankenstrat, and a Carvin vintage 16 amp. If I could re-make this decision, I would probably have sprung for a little more and got a Valvetronix amp or just got my Vintage 16..... or I would look around the used amp market. I think if I replace this amp, I will replace it with an avatar 2x12 extension cab with celestions and a Marshall Lead 100 Mosfet (apparently they are indestructable) or a Crate Power Block (because it is extremely portable). Obviously those wouldn't be my main amps, just part of my stereo tandem. I think you are much better off putting together a halfstack with a used Marshall Mosfet head (they are about $150 on ebay) and a cheap 4x12 cabinet. Then if you ever want to upgrade, you can get a new head, and upgrade the speakers in the cab. I don't regret buying this amp, since I found an unlikely use for it, but it isn't the best thing in the world, it is a decent value. If it were lost, I would get a Marshall or Powerblock and an extension cab.

Tons of features. I bought mine just last week. I already have a Peavey Classic30, a Fender Hotrod Deluxe and a Vox PathFinder. I'm looking for an amp that's plug and play and has great distortion at low volumes. It's a hassle for me to setup my pedals everytime i come home from work just to play guitar and i can't get decent distortion with my tube amps at low volumes.

This is really great as a practice amp. Great tone and low noise. Great for recording also. I read in previous reviews that this amp is noisy when the gain is turned all the way up. I think they are using bad cables or poorly sheilded guitars. This amp is so quiet at full gain. I have a sample MP3 demo of this amp (using the amp's line out to my M-Audio audio interface) here ->
The tones are great, perfect for rock and metal.
I have an couple of Ibanez (rg2550, rg7620, rg450gxwh, s370, rg370), Washburns and Yamaha guitars with various DiMarzio and Seymour Duncan pickups. I play rock and practicing some shred stuff.
This amp is perfect for practicing and recording. But for band rehersals and gigs, i'll will still use my Keeley pedals and tube amps.

I bought this three days ago. I was planning to get a Vamp2 but instead i got this amp. There was some minor cosmetic flaw that i found. At the back of the amp some of the material covering the wood was peeling off. A little fix of rubber cement and it's perfect.

I've been playing for 10 years. I have a couple of guitars and some tube amps. If this amp was stolen or lost, i'll bet the GMX212 instead. This amp is so cheap. I was not expecting to get great tones from this amp.

Bought the amp in December of 2005. Extremely versitile amp.I bought this amp 6 months ago, and have been very pleased with its performance. Lately, I've been using it and an Alesis 8 USB as a portable PA for small 'acoustic' gigs, with remarkably favorable results. It also works fairly well as a stereo monitor for bigger rooms. This is all possible because of the stereo Aux in with trim control - nice touch, Behringer.

As a straight ahead guitar amp, it delivers the goods as well. The V-tone analog modeling does a surprisingly good job of approximating the sounds of Fender, Marshall, and Mesa amps. It isn't the loudest amp (the clean Fender setting is particularly anemic), and it isn't going to fool anyone into thinking that it's a Marshall or a Mesa. But I've run across plenty of more expensive amps and digital modeling pedals that didn't sound as good. It's true stereo, and has two separate channels with assignable onboard effects. It includes a footswitch to switch channels and toggle effects. Plenty of ins and outs in back, including MIDI for effects control(!).

Each control provides useful adjustments to the overall sound, which can range from crystal clean to slightly warm tube (not perfect, but very nice none the less), to punchy crunch or sustaining overdrive. It has the added flexiblity of being used as a stereo monitor or small PA in more intimate settings. It's a great amp at an amazing price, particularly suited for practice, recording, or small gigs.

Got this not quite a year ago and made in 2005, I settled on this one after a test drive with a Gibson ES-335 both for the price and the fact that it cut through all the other playing going on around me. I also has all the recording and line out features I would expect from a more 'upscale' pro rig. At the time I was using a Digitech RP7 processor and I rate this a 9 because the only thing that did not thrill me after a time was the sound of this amp with it looped. I've since gotten deeper into the onboard effects and with the addition of Behringer's FCB1010 Midi Controller, I can now retire the RP7 from gigging.

I'm playing a variety of guitars and styles with this rig, mainly a fat old 1980 Washburn Falcon with original electronics and DiMarzio SD pick-ups, which with this amp I can squeeze the finest prog-style distortion sustain out of. It took me a little bit of time to get the 'clean' side tailored to my liking, but as a previous reviewer said, keep in mind that tweed doesn't always mean clean. That being said, the warm growling tweed tone of this bugger turned up is also excellent...

Haven't tested it yet and hope I don't have to. I registered my warranties (also for the controller) online, which I think is good service in itself these days and the card included has the s/n and bar code right on it, so it would appear they're paying attention.

I've been playing for almost 37 years now and recently did a brief tour of duty working for Washburn/Randall (Us Music Corp.). As far as solid-state amps, I have gone from the Peavy Musician to the Lab Series L5 and through a number of Marshalls including the original Valvestate 800. The Behringer definitely is the best of the lot yet in terms of affordability, durability and flexiblity for both small to medium gigging and recording. I look forward to teaming it up with a GMX212 very soon.

Made in 2005,this amp nails the tones of the following artists 85% -90%accurately(you just need to add a bbe sonic maximizer and have a tuned ear!)Van Halen,Rhoads,Wylde,Blackmore,Hendrix,possibly more youll dial up on your own.For being a somewhat underrated amp,this thing LAYS WASTE sonically to all the Marshall Mg's,AVT's,Lower Line 6 shoeboxes with speakers in them,Vox Valve-hooked-on-phonix,and muddy Crates that have no crunch or definition.I traded a Crate 130 with Wilder speakers for this baby and am a happier man at the moment.

im using a Gibson 84 Flying V and a lefty Les paul special with this amp at the moment.It's only noisy if u have it plugged into a power strip with 20 other things going on.Ah,the distortion...US is a cross between the Peavey 5150 and the Mesa Recto or you can dial either of the models in with ease.Brit with the UK speaker setting is EXACTLY a JCM 800 or 900 NO BULL$%^&! Tweed is EXACTLY a Fender clean.I don't know how the hell they did it,but they finally did it.
Your not going to get a "Dime" distortion out of this thing,but who wants to sound like an Arion Metal Master anyways?

ALL OPINIONS STATED ARE EXPRESSED WHILE KEEPING THE PRICE IN MIND:
Brand New- very versatile, easy setup, quiet, and cheap!
The 2 channels can be set up any way (clean/dirty, dirty/dirty, etc.), and each one has plenty of adjustment on their respective controls:
Gain,
3 amp models (Tweed, Brit or Calif.)
3 gain modes (clean, high gain, hot),
3 cab settings (Flat=straight to speakers, 4x12, 2x12) and
Very ACTIVE Lo, Mid and Hi controls.
Channel One has a level control, and
the master volume is for both.
The chromatic tuner and 99 effects programs are very easy to use/program, and I LOVE the tuner's ability to be adjustably muted, or not- it's up to the player. It can also be calibrated to a pretty wide avriance of pitch (something like +/-15 cents? It's also easy to see and read the tuner from the end of the outstretched footswitch cable.
Decent footswitch, semi-silent operation, considering the close proximity.
The effects are mostly very good, there's some un-useable ones, of course. The bread 'n butter ones are definitely good enough, and then some!. I set it up to be like an amp first, and the fx are extra toys. Too many connecting options on the back to be mentioned, more than enough for me.
It has a stereo power amp with 30 watts per side into the 10-inch Jensens. Plenty of volume, with 40 lbs. of weight-it's MDF. Metal corners, big rubber feet, nice textured black finish material.

I mostly use home-built or heavily modded strats and teles, exceptions being a Gretsch Pro Jet sometimes, or a modded Jay Turser resonator rewired in stereo. For my 3-4 gigs a week of blues/folk/rock/ roadhouse bar duo/trio, it will have to do the mid-gain semi-clean class A responsiveness thing pretty well.
I started with clean sounds and got progressively dirtier.
The Tweed model passed the test first, with the plate reverb effect. Excellent vintage Keifish/Pagey tones! OK, I just played my cheapest maple board strat clone on it for awhile with the Calif. model on hot setting, and it really had that Eric Johnson violin tone goin' (but I sure can't play like him, of course!)
The Cali model clean is very Boogie Quad Preamp sounding. And with the larger plate reverb added to high gain setting, it's very early Ed-wardian!
I really haven't dialed in the British model yet, but since it only has two channels, I'm cool with it. I fooled around for a minute to get decent Vox-y sounds, or maybe Bluesbreaker combo, but didn't really try for the Plexi or JCM800 type sound since it's not a stack.
I like to think it will do a good copy my '86 JCM800 50 watt 1x12 or 2x12 combos.
I do like it best with the Flat output setting, going straight out to speakers.
It gets sweeter and smoother with the master volume on 5, but that might be too loud for at home. Would cut through with my favorite mid-sized rock drummer and bassist on stage or in studio.
I tested it at my gig volume tonight, and starting tomorrow night, will play it at future gigs until something else catches my eyes/ears!
It sounds really good, but I'm curious what it will souind like with my new Celestion Vintage 10's in it! It really sounds too good to mess with for now.
I reasonably compared it to the favorites in my vintage and modern amp collection that I expected it to replace at gigs, and then rated how the Behringer did:

Started electric guitar in April 1985, and it took. Had played many other instruments prior to then, and still do, but guitar makes the most sense to me. In that time I've collected, gigged on, tried out, destroyed/modded bought/sold hundrds of pieces of gear, most of it the really good stuff. Some interesting cheapos.
I recently got into the lower price ranges of gear more seriously, as a way to not take the rare or expensive stuff into a dangerous, stinky environment like a bar full of drunks, the Gulf Coast, New Orleans, or a cold, wet parking lot in those places. Also, My Twin smells like fried catfish and oyster po-boys now! Someone tumbles down at almost every gig, so the boo-teeky amps are out.
And I'm too busy gigging to work on all the old tube amps anymore, So the Behringer 210 is it for now. If it went out or got ripped off or burnt down, I'd get something.
I really like what it is/has for the price.
Tried a Valveronix 50 watt 1x12 (very good!), among others. The VR30 came close, but is for pratice. I like the 2 Jensen 10s, like in my favorite Vibrolux. I really like the price!

I like Blues and Rock, does both very well. Can go clean and plenty of distortion channels. Power supply HUMMM is not good.

Purchased the amp 10/25/05 from Guitar Center. Have it in my office at work, placed it on amp stand next to a dark wall. All was fine until I moved it in January 2006 in front of a white wall. Immediately saw light thru the amp grill, (which is odd) and looked behind amp to find a hole in one of the Jensen speakers right next to where the speaker hold down screw is. Obviously someone shipped this one past QC...photographed problem and wanted to e-mail photos to Behringer, but they did not care.
Called Guitar Center to get a thorough "run around" from their store Manager. Did not want to help me at all, told me to contact Behringer, I contacted them and they said to take it back where I bought it for evaluation. Store Manager at Guitar Center said he did not want it back, as he did not "sell that brand anymore". Think I will ever buy anything else from Guitar Center..Ripoff artists, might as well have purchased it from "Estaban". Or as is case now a-days, "SERVICE IS THE THING OF GRANDADDS DAY! Everybody wants your money and then you are the one who gets laid.
Found a new Jensen 10" at Woodwinds and Brass (A real Guitar Store)
and cost me $45.00, 3 month old amp with a hole in it and no one seems to give a damn.
I like the amp a lot, Guitar Center and Behringer are part of the "shift the blame" crowd everyone runs into now a-days.

made in 2004, i got it last december so i have had plenty of time with this thing. i play rock music, from metal to classic and this amp can handle it all. has plenty of features and the effects are great. it has everything i would need in an amp and sounds better than anyone would expect.

i use a charvel journeyman guitar and have used every pickup from l500xl's to paf's. sounds great with all of them. i would like to comment on the amp channels. there is no dedicated overdrive, clean channel. they can both be set up for either, which is great because i run the gain on 5 and boost it with an overdrive pedal(this amp takes them very well). i just roll back on the volume knob on my guitar to get clean sounds. now for the amp sounds
1. the amp types are california- think mesa or peavey to my ears. brittish-this thing does a really good marshall type sound and is my favorite setting. and tweed-your basic fender sounds and does them really well.
2. preamp modes are clean-clean on the tweed but you will get slight breakup on the calif. and brittish settings, also depends on the gain setting on the channe. hi gain-good medium to hot sounds here and sounds good with an overdrive pedal to give it a push for some sustain. hot-really saturated gain with the treble up a bit from the hi gain mode.
3. speaker modes are flat-just the 2-10 inch jensens. u.k. which is a 4x12 cabinet that has some good mids and sounds better than the marshall 4x10 cabinet that i use to own. u.s. which is supposed to be a open back 2x12 cabinet, sounds like a rectifier cabinet to me.
the main thing with this amp is it is analog, and the switches do change the amps sound and character so i give i 10 for that.
the effects are good, i only use the stereo delays and a chorus but all of them sound really good and don't need much tweaking to get a great sound out of it.
i haven't used this amp live but it sounds really good turned up and i don't need the overdrive pedal to help it out at louder volumes. this amp will do the hard rock/metal thing really well.

i have been playing for 15 years and had a bunch of equipment, this thing is just great. i haven't even thought about getting another amp(unless i wanted one with more power the gmx212) so that says alot for me as being satisfied. to my ears is sounds better than the marshall avt50 head and marshall 4x10 cabinet i got rid of.

Amp is versatile enough for me. I play rock and metal and rock ballads.
2 channel.Comes with Free midi footswitch.A lot of inputs except for speakers out for this model.
I wish this that this amp can store more preset channels.
I use it mainly at home though thinkin of setting up a jamming studio.I believe this amp has enough power to compete against the drums and the bass.

I use a dean 79 original dean pickups and ibanez s series with dimarzio pickups.Amp has humming noise when I stop playin.I guess this matter can be resolved if i change the power plug to a 3 pin plug to ground the amp.Havent tried it yet though.
Handles metal to rock ballads pretty well,sounds warmer and better than the previous line 6 spider II 112 i bought.It is even louder than my spider even though it is 15 watts lesser than my previous line6.Clean is shimmering clean and distortion is totally brutal.

I played the guitar abt 10 years.I will probably get the bigger version of the amp if it were stolen. the gmx212.The only bugbear is it has a humming sound when i stop playing. But shld be able to fix it using a 3 pin plug.I love this amp, coz it has nice cleans and brutal distortions.I wish it can store more preset channels though.( yea i know it is not a digital amp ). I also wish that the preset channels does not have that few seconds of delay when u change presets.

Made in 2005, a lot of features: 2 independent channels, footswitch included, fx processor and tuner included, analog amp simulation, two JENSEN stereo 10' speakers, effects loop, a lot of conexions in/out/midi/slave in/aux in/ etc etc... a LOT OF FEATURES FOR VERY LOW PRICE. It has 2x30 watts, much more than i need at home and sufficient to gig.

I use a Ibanez RG-370 DX, it's such a beauty!! And it sounds great even with the stock pickups. A lot of variety of sounds. The cleans are just normal, nothing of special. But distortion.... wow, it emulates very closely the much more cheaper mesa boogie rectifiers, although this behringer hasn't any tube... just u-n-b-e-l-i-e-v-a-b-l-e at this price. Kicks ass!!! Lots of power on distortion. Cleans are weak, but i use it mainly distorted, which is AWESOME. It's seems tubey... :) Trust me! 10 for the relation price-quality. Unbeatable. I have had Kustom and Fame speakers and their distortions suck compared with this monster!!
Almost useless effects... compared with my old BOSS ME-30. But i don't use them, so i don't care. The reverb is good, indeed.
I really recommend this for anyone. Great sound, few bucks, lot of features, what would you want more??? I'ts just GREAT.

Seems very reliable, although its constrution quality it's not 100%. It's engineered in germany which is great (deutche technologie) but made in china... But i hope it's reliable enough.

Gear: Ibanez RG370 DX, Boss ME-30, i've had other amps and guitars, played on others also... this GMX 210 it's GREAT, i would buy another one right now if mine was stolen. I love the distortion. Kicks ass! I wish it had real tubes and not "tube emulation circuitry" for a more pure tone and feel, but at this price i just can't ask anything more!!

I got this amp 2 months ago, from my local music shop. It cost a mere #170. I am so pleased. It is plenty versatile enough, and it is packed with great effects. It has 2 channels, identical, and it also models amps. Though I wish it had a few more amp models, it's definitely right for me and it's loud enough to gig with, in small/medium venues. I use it for gigs without a backup, and it serves me well.

I'm using it with an Epiphone Goth G400 extreme with floyd rose, mainly playing indie style music (yeah, surprising). The sound is phenomenal with regards to the price, and it is very, very versatile. The distortion isn't great, but it's more than most guitarist would need. As I said before, it is more than loud enough to gig with. I never put it up past 3 in my room, as I value my house staying upright!

Overall, this is a great amp for the money. It is very versatile. If it was stolen, I would certainly buy another one, as there is no amp in this price range that can perform anywhere near it. I love the amp in general, though I can't help thinking a better distortion could've perfected it. I compared this to a marshall 50dfx, though I found this one to be louder and more versatile. Thumbs up for Behringer.

* I use ut with a ESP/LTD M100 with a DiMarzio Tone Zone in the bridge, my other guitar is a Chandler (custom) with a Duncan SH6.
* Suits my style perfact
* All amps are noisy to a certain extent...that is why they make noise gates...which I have one...cuts it out
* The clean channel is nice. I use a Accoustic Simulator (Boss) and it is nice and rich.

I own a V-Amp Pro and it hasn't let me down at all. I think the GMX210 will be the same.
I would wouldn't gig without GMX210 unless I had my Vamp as a backup.

I have been playing 23 years. I have had a Lab Series amp, Randall and a modified Marshall JCM800 and a Crate....this is the best sounding amp of all those....with exception of the Marshall...which only sounds good at "11"...and at church....ain't going to happen.
I own a VAmp Pro and a Digitech DSP256e. I like all them.
If it was lost or stolen I would probably buy the GMX212 instead...not because I am not happy with this one, but it was only $40 more and had a few more things on back that I would use (i.e. hooking up an external cabinet)....and more power.
What I love about this amp is the tone and the versatility.
What I hate about this amp.....uh, it is black......LOLOL
I tried the Line 6 Spider II (30 watt) for the same price. I tried the Crates and Peavey and Alesis and VOX Valvtronix and for the price and functions....this by far the best of the bunch. Like I said, I am a tone SNOB and compared to the Line 6 (the only other one I was interested in), this thing kicks it's booty!
The only thing I wish it had (which is minor) is a back that covers the speaker. When I play at church, I lean it so I can hear it (they mic it into the PA), it makes it tricky to get it to balance....but I can always get a amp stand

This stereo 2x10" analog "modelling" amp was made in 2004.Two channels, each with input drive , three band EQ and 27 sounds(three pre-amp types x three gain levels x three simulated "speaker" sounds makes 27 on my planet) covering most requirements. From these 27 options it's probably best to select one per channel for live use. Channel One has its own level control to enable it to be balanced with Channel Two for rhythm/solo use. There is also a master volume which has to be set quite high as, don't forget, this is only 30 watts per channel.The 99 easily tweakable (edits can be stored) Digital Effects are generally superb, especially at the price. Most requirements are met, including trem, chorus, phase, flange, pitch shift, compression, and others, and a favourite effect can either be set per channel, changing automatically when changing pre-amp channels (the amp remembers the last effect you used on each channel without you doing anything) or, by enabling midi control, you can have the same effect staying on regardless of channel, in which case you can connect a midi foot controller in addition to the supplied dual channel/FX on/off footswitch (I use a simple Rolls midi- buddy because Behringer's pedal board, cheap though it is, is rocket science). You can then tap dance through the presets to any of the 99 effects, or ,if your midi controller can be programmed, choose a bank of the best FX from the amp's menu and store them to easy positions on your midi pedalboard. If even that's not enough there are various ways to hook up external effects via the back panel, where you will also find a mono serial FX insert loop, stereo preamp outs, power amp ins and a stereo aux in. No speaker outs on this one , probably because the amp is aimed at the small gig situation where portability is the main requirement.If you want more power on the odd occasion, you'll need to add a slave power amp to drive any extra speakers. With a rock covers duo using a drum machine the amp is easily powerful enough, and of course in bigger rooms you can hook up to the board in stereo for a huge sound .

I have a PRS Hollowbody II with the regular pickups, but I have also used the amp with other, cheaper instruments with success. I can get any sound I like and the sound is very satisfying. It is especially good at big, nicely textured, responsive rock lead sounds at acceptable levels of volume, which means it is worth its weight in gold to a pro player who has grown out of deafening audiences. To get louder clean sounds, forget any misconception that Tweed means Clean. It doesn't. Also, use higher tone settings for more volume- if all your tones are at zero there is no sound at all.

I have found the amp totally reliable over several months of use, and have never taken a spare amp to a gig in almost forty years of gigging. I look after my gear and take care when setting it up. I don't lose picks, break strings, or neglect anything I rely on. If it was going to let me down, I would know when checking my stuff before the gig, and I would take my other Behringer amp( a 1x12" V-ampire combo).

When I had owned the amp for about 3 months, I checked on Behringer's website and saw that the amp was advertized as having 4-ohm speakers. As mine had 8-ohm Jensens, I queried this with their customer support. They promptly sent a replacement amp to my local dealer, who contacted me on it's arrival and swapped it without question. The speakers were identical to the ones I already had so nothing was gained, except a new amp for me and a good reputation for Behringer. I still don't know if 4-ohm speakers are OK to use with the amp, but if they are, you could expect more sound so I might pursue this further if the speakers ever need replacing.

I was going to sell this amp when I got my V-ampire, but I've changed my mind as I like to have an amp at home to play on without unpacking my gigging amp from its case. The V-ampire has the edge because I can store dozens of sounds on it, and it has a 2-second delay with a Tap-tempo button. In many ways though I prefer the GMX210, so I'm happy to use either on a gig. I like small versatile combo amps and these are the best I've used. The price of Behringer amps is a miracle, and that's why so many "reviewers" (usually Anonymous) slag them off.

Listed below. Does not have external speaker out. Speaker wires are soldered to terminals. Speakers have tiny 10 ounch magnets and are rated at 4 ohms each. 27 amp models? no, just 6. You must memorize 99 presets, the amp does not come with a cheat sheet. There is a horrible 'pop' when you change effects and a one second delay when changing channels. has several volume controls, not sure why, it's not a tube amp so why 4 volume controls?

I use an Am fat strat. I play clean mostly. This amp has one good clean sound. Tweed/Clean/US. Distortions are too noisy. The power transformer is not shielded and will generate a HUGE amount of 60-cycle hum, dispite the fact that all my pups are noiseless. Sitting about 6 feet way will help, but is inconvenient. Not much variety in the sounds. Clean is set drive = 10 level = 10 master = 7 and not very loud. When you turn it to 10, it hisses horribly. Buzzes and rattles with master above 5, even on clean settings.

I've had a few combos before but this one really has a lot going for it in this department. It has some pretty good modeling abilities with some digital effects thrown in for good measure. Having the ability to switch between two different efffects with the footswitch that comes with the amp is very nice for those who don't want the added complication of dealing with a midi controller (which I highly recommend getting) however be prepaired for a delay when you do this. The delay pretty much kills the amps ability to be used as a live tool, but of course getting a proper MIDI controller negates this for the most part as you can switch channels and effects independantly. It has an insert patch and various ways to input and output signals which could be useful if you are doing more than just using it as a practice amp. Overall its a good honest 7. It would be higher if the delay when switching channels was absent.

I use a Fender Fat Strat with the SSH configuration. I personally find the distortion delightful with a caveat. To get really metal sounding distortion you have to crank the gain which makes for a noisy amp (it humms and buzzes a bit, perhaps as much as you usually get with a tube overdrive). The noise could be due to its location in my living room close to the entertainment center so who really knows. Anyway you can REALLY dial in some great sounds. Working with the EQ and switches you can get just about any type of sounds you like. For example setting the mid and high knobs to 6 and the bass to 7, click the first switch to british, the second to hot, and the third to UK and crank the gain to 8 or 10 and it really gets a fantastic thrashing metal sound! On top of that you can add compression and other effects to really tailor the sound. Now we all LOVE effects I'm sure but the big contraversy seems to be whether this sounds like a tube amp or not. My vote is pretty damned close! Or maybe it sounds like some tubes and not like others. I have a nice tube works pedal (real tube 901) I used for comparison and the amps distortion is very close. It doesn't seem to have that edgy harsh solid state sound I remember from all those solid state pedals that were so poplular (Rat, turbo etc). You really can get a nice fat sound from it, especially with the right effect in place (the guitar combo). The tube pedal seems to deliver more of a singing quality perhaps, but I must say I'll betcha it would be very difficult for most people to tell its solid state driving the amp. When playing clean it really is nice and clean, but you won't get as much volume from it this way which may not matter; it really would depend on your situation.
On the downside the effects aren't programmable in the sense that you have a set of effects and you can combine them in anyway you choose. No, this amp has a set number of combintions such as Flanger+reverb, flanger+delay, flanger, chorus+revebs, chorus+delay, phaser, compression etc. You cant decide to mix the phaser with the compression. Its one or the other. Now its not as bad as it sounds. You can program the parameters of these effects and if you purchased a good MIDI controller with expression pedals (I got the Behringer FCB1010) you can use the pedals to change the parameters and save them, or change them in real time. Most of the effects it does have are logical and you probably won't REALLY need more than they offered but it would have been nice. It has a wah effect as well so if you set the MIDI controller to #15 it should replace the analog pedal. I haven't actually tried it yet so stay tuned. Overall I give it an 8. It has some very versatile abilities to model sounds from your favorite guitarist, some decent effects if you find that you need them and the amp is indeed pretty loud. Plenty loud enough to use at home to learn a song perhaps (playing with a CD), it might have some trouble keeping up with a live drummer + overzealous bass player if you use anything other than the high gain distortion type sounds from it. For live use (on stage or practice) I would probably go with the GMX212, for anything else this amp has plenty of juice.

For the price its really SUPER! Built in effects, good tones, good versatility. Kind of eliminates the need for dragging a bunch of pedals around with you or buying them for that matter, especially if you go the extra mile and get the foot controller. Make sure you be aware of the plastic knobs, i've heard they are fairly easy to break. When you carry the thing try to keep the back of it to your body. So I guess I endorse the amp. You'll get a lot for you buck, and its good enough to play and enjoy the sound of it.

I use a Les Paul custom on this amp. It has a very general tube pre-amp distortion. Tweed amp mode in hi-gain or hot mode sounds like a clean amp that was not designed to have distortion but an overdriven amp of the 1950's. The tweed amp in clean mode is very clean with good headroom. The british amp mode sounds very much like a well designed tube amp and represents a good sound when used in the high-gain mode. The calif amp mode adds much more bottom end and I suppose is to represent the more modern US sounds vs the british gain sounds of the last 30 years. Either amp mode sounds good. Despite the previous descriptions of the tone controls, they get you where you need to be - just like Marshall which does not allow you to stray very far from their sound, this amp has similiar tone controls but with more cut/boost. This type of tone control allows you to shape the sound but not neccessarily make a sound that is useless (like so many other solid-state amps). There is a preset in the fx section that has over the top gain like many of the metal distortion pedals. The reverb in the effects is very good and clean. Good bottom end for a 210. The volume control range is not like other amps where by the time you get to 5 out of 10 its very loud. The range on this amp starts to show at 1.5 and keeps getting louder all the way to 10. It does not appear to have any power amp distortion which is very good for a solid state amp.

I like this amp. It will not produce the hair band sounds of the 1980s but it will provide you with a good tube amp sound. It is an incredible value, however I do think I will do a speaker swap. They cut corners on this amp, ie the cabinet corners are not real chrome and the screws in them look like they are painted silver, this is asthetic but when compared to the nice tolex and black face plate which looks really good, the psuedo chrome lets you down. I wish it has the level control for both channels and the presence control like the GMX212. The output power is fine but the remote speaker outputs would have been nice.

Purchased amp in Aug 2004. Will be mostly used in Church. This amp does not have all the bells and whistles that some of the expensive amps have, but it seems to have all the features most guitarist will need.

Although this amp is not in the same league as Mesa or Fender, this amp is a great value. The sound is nice, although the tone controls don't seem to have as much range as some amps I have used before. This amp reminds me of some of the Peavey amps I used to own. Seems to have plenty of power for a mid-sized amp.

I saw the box when it arrived at the music store from the factory. It had obviously been kicked and beat around by the shipping company. I only mention this to say that it survived being beat around and it worked perfectly the first time it was switched on.
So I would say it is very ruggedly built.

I play rock, blues, metal, and a use the clean channel a lot. I use an LTD DV8-R and that guitar really brings a lot to the table with this amp. The only problems I have with this amp are the lack of bass response and the speakers have a rattle. For the price it's a great practice amp

I've been playing 8 years and have owned a Peavey, a Randall and a Fender before this amp and I like it better than the Randall, but not as much as the others, but it was also cheaper than both. All in all a great first or second amp for beginners

2003(december)model. I bought this amp because I was getting tired of my usual - and quite unusal - setup. My band plays '60 and '70 pop. until now I have plugged my guitar into a Boss GT3 pedalboard and straight into our mixer. From the mixer I use one of the sends to an old HH 100w amp to drive my monitor. Kind of backwards - but it works.
I do have an other amp. A Peavey Classic 30 (a fantastic amp!)But I'm not too happy about shifting it around too much - The band has a lot of gigs these days.
So I was looking for a cheap, clean sounding SS amp. Based on the reviews I found on the internet, I ordered a gmx210.
It seemed to have the features I was looking for: A good clean sound, 2 channels and lots of in/outs and a footswitch. At first I was going to order the gmx212 (2X50W) as I thought that the power might be needed. But after using my 30W Peavey at a gig (volume set at 2? out of 12! and miked to the mixer) I settled for the 210.
The amp was shipped to my door. No problems. The amp is shipped in two boxes - fine protection.
The first adjustment I made was Tweed/Clean/Flat and I cranked the volume up to 5 (of 10) - Strummed my strat with stock pickups and wondered if the amp was on or not!
The Tweed/Clean combination is not just very low. Its EXREMLY LOW!
Granted. Its very clean and sounds very good, but outside a bedroom or a studio its not really usable.
After tweaking around I managed to get a good clean sound with Tweed/Hi gain and the drive at minimum. But it gets distorted at high volumes.
I then continued to try the more distorted sounds. This is where this amp really shines - Holy Moses! Just using the gain control gives You total control of the distortion. From crunched to wild distortion - No problem.
Then I started using my Bluesbreaker II (Marshall) pedal. And shortly after I was playing Gary Moore's "Still Got The Blues" and "Parisienne Walkways".
No doubt. This is a VERY good amp. Just not for my use - I need some more clean, high volume sounds.
Still a VERY GOOD AMP!
I phoned the dealer (EMK PROF MUSIC - great guys, no problems) And I swapped the amp for a Behringer gmx 212.
The gmx 212 really matches my needs.
I've just received the gmx 212. This is an OUSTANDING amp! I love it. -Read my review elsewhere..
