It has in fact all features you need for a home use amp it doesn't have tubes but it has enough stuff for it's price class it has even got a few digital effects

I use it with an OLP AXIS guitar which has 2 Humbuckers it isn't too noisy in any setting the clean channel often distorts what i dn't like to much i think the amp can make classic rock sounds but no real heavy sounds the distortion has not much gain in reserve

I would definetly not use it for gigs because it's just a cheap practise-combo
it hasn't made any problems yet

If it were stolen or lost i'd probably buy a marshall avt20 or a tech21 trademark 10 but they cost a bit more
i like the price
i compared it to a peavey rage 158 and must say it was about 10 times better
I wish it had a heavier distortion so i bought myself a boss MT-2
i give it overall a 7 because it's a good valued combo for it's price but it isn't too great

There are a lot of features here, just look on the Behringer website to see them all if you dont already know. Its definantly powerful enough, but it almost seems that it has too many features. EQ for the seperate channels would be nice, but thats asking a little much for the price.

The clean channel has a sort of overdriven sound at high volumes, but i think that is just the speaker breaking up a little. It probably wouldn't do that with a bigger cab, but I like that sound anyway (it hasnt seemed to damage the speaker so far.) The distorted channel is not the best, but hey, what do you expect from a solid-state amp. The clean channel is fine though. I like to play clean, with a lot of mid and bass. The amp gets a little feedbacky every now and then, but its a good feedback, not annoying feedback. Most of the effects are nice, but I dont really use them much. When you turn it on or off, it makes a loud pop. I just kill the volume before turning on or off, to keep from damaging the speaker. It gets a little hummy at high volumes, and especially if you stand to close. Just back away a little, and turn it down a litte, and your problem is solved. The expander effect thing helps a lot with that too.

I've had it for a couple of months, no problems yet. Just one time i had it on for a long time without doing anything, and it sorta conked out. It was on, but the effects wouldnt change, I guess it just froze up, like a PC does sometimes. I turned it off, and then back on a few minutes later and it was fine. Hasnt done it since.

I bought it mainly on price. If it were stolen, i'd look around at some other things, but probably end up with another one of these. I'm not a huge digital fan, nor am i really a fan of solid state period, but you have to admit, it can be a lot more reliable. I just wish they had worked a little harder on the distorted channel, it gives decent sounds, and I dont really use much distortion any way, but it could definantly be a lot better.

First of all, I am returning the amp. The clean sound is ok, but the dirty channel is really bad. Trying dialing up the gain and the amp will buzz like crazy (with humbucker).
I mostly use only reverb/chorus and they are pretty good.

Have the amp for a month. Speaker gives a loud (I mean LOUD) popping noise whenever I turned on/off the amp. anyway, I am returning it...

I emailed Behringer and they are actually pretty good in customer support. They emailed me back in a day asking me for S/N and receipt for the amp so they can arrange for a repair.

Again, I am not satisfied with the drive channel at all. Sounds bad at low or hi gain. However, if u use pedal, the clean chnl is ok and u will have tons of ok effects to play with.

I just got my amp about one week ago. I love it. It has 37 digital effects with the option of mixing them and all for $200. I was going to get a Marshall MG30DFX for $50 more, but the worker recommended the Behringer. So I tried it out. The effects are awesome.

I'm playing on it with a Squier Fat Strat. I primarily use the humbuckers, but the pickups work pretty well with it. The distortion is great for anything from Nirvana to Metallica. The clean is clean from what I can tell, although I've only used it a couple of times. The only problem I have with it is that it's really not that loud. I wouldn't try to play any gig with it. But you shouldn't expect it to be very loud. Come on. It's $200.

You should buy this amp. It's very practical and extremely versatile. My last amp was a stupid Danelectro Dirty Thirty. That amp sucks! It might be cheap, but it's not worth it.

Home studio use only. It has a lot of nice DSP effects. I especially like the reverb/delay combination. The cab simulators are a joke. You need a good external simulator for that. Tremelo and chorus are sweet and smooth. Lots of I/O on the back. Sounds good running through my board for recording.

Seems to be well made and sounds good at low volume. I don't know how it sounds with any real volume. Neighbors in the condo wouldn't like that.

The features have been mentioned previously. I'm mainly a "couch player", but I do jam with friends on occasion. I'm into blues and rock mainly. I wanted something at a reasonable price, 30 watts minimum and a 10" speaker and reverb. This amp has all that and more as the others have stated. The combinations that the effects can be used is very limited, but hey for $169 I can't complain, a Cyber Twin she aint!

I found this amp better suited to my guitars with humbucking pick-ups. My Fender with single coils was too noisy. Since my favorite tones are single coil generated, I returned the amp to MF last week. I would not recommend this amp for single coil guitars, it hisses louder than my wife when she balances the check book. I rated a 5, but I realize all amps don't sound good with all guitars.

Like the bone head that I am, I bought this amp, then read the reviews. I was concerned, so before I took the amp out of the plastic, I called their cutomer service # in Washington (state). I was told by the courteous service rep., that if the amp broke, based on my location I would send it to their regional service center in NYC. That seemed fair to me.

Not a bad amp. Fun with all the effects and the price is right, but this amp wasn't what I was looking for. If you prefer single coil pu's I wouldn't recommend this product due to excessive line noise.

IF I WOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING I WOULD HAVE PASSED ON THIS AMP EVEN THOUGH IT HAS LOTS OF XTRAS IN THE PRICE CATEGORIE.TRIED IT AT MARS MUSIC BUT DIDNT RUN IT HEAVY. SEMED A BARGAIN NEXT TO ALL THE OTHER LOW PRICED PRACTICE AMPS. PLAYED WITH THE AMP THE NEXT DAY AND WHEN I HAD THE MAIN VOLUME ON 6 AND THE GAIN CHANNEL ON 7 , THE SOUND CUT OFF AND ON EVERY FEW SECONDS LIKE IT WAS OVERLOADING.

BEEN PLAYING 35 YEARS. EVERYTHING FROM PUDDLE OF MUDD TO BROOKS AND DUNN. PLAY OUT WITH A CRATE RED VOODOO (AWESOME). HAVE AN OLD MARSHALL BLUESBREAKER AND A PEAVEY BANDIT(WHICH COLLECTS DUST). PLAY A LES PAUL CUSTON, HEAVILY MODIFIED STRAT (MODIFIED BY VIRGIL LAY IN THE LATE 70'S)IBANEZ AND KRAMER.I GAVE THIS AMP A LOW RATING CAUSE IT'S ABOUT THE ONLY PIECE OF EQUIPMENT I'VE EVER BOUGHT THAT BROKE DOWN SO FAST. AND THE OTHER REVIEWS OF BREAKING DOWN DON'T HELP.

I bought this new around November of '01. By the time you read this review, you know all about the features, the 99 digital fx, 2 channels, and the various in's and out's options. It was the only amp in this price range that came with a channel switch stomp box. I play a variety of music in the rock genre, everything from metal to classic rock. I never play live, I record at home so 30 watts is plenty.

I play a Kramer Baretta with Quad Rail pickups. The amp seems noisy to me, it helps turning the monitor off on the computer, but when you're recording on the computer, that's kind of impossible. I have no problem combining the OD channel with the fx. Some fx sound good, the speaker cab sims especially.

I have actually played the amp for less than 7 hours and the speaker is toast. I didn't realize that I had to send my warrenty card to Germany within 2 weeks of purchase, so I didn't. After reading previous reviews, I might replace the speaker, trade it for something else and cut my losses. Which really is a shame with all the in's and out's is has for recording.

I played quite a bit from '76 - '86 and then not much until now. I also use a Johnson J-station (love it!. I would certainly not replace this amp with the same model. I compared it with Crate (I had an original CR-1 and loved it). I also bought a Rocktron RC50 but returned it due to excessive noise (although it reallt was loud). Getting back into music after so many years I've learned, the hard way on at least 3 different occasions, go to a store and check the stuff out.

Bought as a first 'real' amp for a 15-year-old strat player (and myself, his Dad). Based on the research I was able to do this was far and away the most bang for the buck. It has lots of fun effects and is loud enough for practice but won't lift the roof off your house.

I'm sure a more expensive Fender or Marshall sounds better but for beginners and household practice players this thing is fine. The clean channel is a bit thin and the gain is not especially 'crunchy' but those are minor issues. With all the settings you can get just about anything you want.
