been playing with this amp only for a few days. . . havent even touched the surface of all of the effects. 99preset digital effects each with its own set of user adjustable parameters. 99 effects but most are "groups".. . . like 3 different phasers, etc. im pretty sure most of the effects will never be used, my initial response is that most of them sound really bad. but i could be wrong. . . so much to explore, so little time. all the jacks you could possible need, especially for recording. midi, headphones, etc.

Sound Quality : 9
have a tele (s/s) with hotrails humbucker in the bridge position. also have an old hamer (h/s/s) with a seymour duncan distortion humbucker and a dimarzio hs2 in the mid. position, neck pup. is stock. both guitars sound absolutely stunning on the clean channel. warm and inviting. the distortion channel is another story. i've been playing with it trying to get a good overdrive tone, but i havent found it yet. ive given up for now. ill just continue to use my pedals before the amp (sansamp gt2, mxr distortion) for distortion. otherwise, the clean is pretty amazing, can achieve all sorts of "clean" - mild overdrive, warm blues, country twang, possibilities are great. havent got to test it in a real lound situation yet, for right now, its been a pratice amp. one thing is that the bass seems a little week, but that could be from lack of "me turning up the volume". there is also an annoying hum, that i cant get rid of. i have no idea what it could be, maybe a defect. maybe not. its not terribly loud, but it is noticable, i may try and return it.

Reliability : 7
the metal piece that displays what the knobs are for was peeling off when i recieved the amp. i assume they used that material for cost cutting reasons, which leaves me a little suspect of the build quality. that piece will fall off. ill just have to glue it back on. the box it was shipped in was also of very low quality - thin and very small, not much room for "super-packing". nonetheless, the amp was shipped in perfect condition (box felt like it was about to come apart though). very skimpy on the internal packing. would definitely not gig without a backup, especially with the addtion of the processor on this amp. .. you never know.

Customer Support : No Opinion
no idea

Overall Rating : 8
been playing for about ten years. id probably buy the 212 if this one were stolen, it will probaly have the bass that seems to be lacking from the 210. clean channel is creamy. love it. the hum is a little annoying, i cant see myself getting used to it. would have been nice if the distortion channel were a little more beefy, but ive got pedals so no biggie. overall though, im thoroughly impressed with the variety of clean sounds and by the quality of sound. only time will tell about the build quality, its a pretty cheap amp, corners obviously had to be cut, i just hope they cut the right ones.

Second review for this amp--it deserves it. I've been using this for months now,and it has proven itself to be a great amp for any style of music.I have found the lack of EQ on each channel(they share an EQ)to be the one bitch, but it 's a small thing, when comparing all the other features provided. This amp will not replace a primo 100 watt amp,but will replace everything else...

Sound Quality : 10
After much use,I have found the mid-gain boost a bit noisy. Not a big thing, considering the amount of gain it produces.Pretty dang awesome.
You can build a clean and dirty channel with ANY KIND effect imaginable, with seperate effects on each. Very nice...for a cheap combo! I can duplicate just about any set-up for a cover band gig, and I love the direct out, which reduces overall stage levels.

Reliability : 10
Solid amp,very dependable.
I never gig without a back-up!?!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never needed them

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing long enough to know the value of this amp--It's a steal and a highly useable como. Wish this woulda been available in the 70's.I'd get the larger watt-age 2-12 model,if I had to replace this baby; I probably will, anyway.(The dual EQ's on that model is the only improvement I'd make, beside more wattage, regarding this 2-10)

DONT EVER EVER EVER BUY THIS AMP IF YOUR IN A BAND!!!! EVEN THOUGH IT IS A GREAT AMP DONT BUY IT IF YOUR IN A BAND. ILL EXPLAIN LATER.

Great amp many features, great effects lots of options and over all just a great amp.

Sound Quality : 9
Now you must wondering why i said dont buy this if your in a band. well its a great amp but its not very loud, in fact even if you turn it up to 10 it will barely stand out against a powerful drummer.
2x30 watts is more like 30 watts period. in twin amps you dont multiply the wattage this amp is probably as loud as a 45 watt solid state amp or something like that. other than that its great. Ill take of 1 point for volume.

Reliability : 9
reliable, would never use in a gig , because it just isnt loud, its good for practicing by yourself or practicing with a drummer who uses drum mutes but it really isnt loud enough to stand out.

Customer Support : 8
Never dealt with em

Overall Rating : No Opinion
well actually i thought i had gotten a good deal, but this amp is expensive for what it does, its really good in tone and sound, but it really isnt loud enough to cut gigs and such, i really wish it were louder, but tahts not a problem since im getting a 2 12 soon.

Brand new 2002 Behringer ultratwin 210 amp. This is the best fuckin' combo amp for its price. If I didnt know any better i would have thought an amp like this sells for over 400 dollars but its price tag is at 299$ (retail. 399$). Its not as loud as say a crate 212 amp, but it has enough power for small to medium gigs, and large gigs if put through the pa (get more into that later) ton of VERY good effects. Virtube Solid State Technology (really does sound like a tube amp)
in 2 words EXTREMELY VERSATILE

Sound Quality : 10
I use an Ibanez SA160 (pretty shitty) but even with these horrible pickups im getting a kick ass sound out of the behringer. my band plays punk and only punk. we do use effects however in some of our songs. it is soo amazingly quiet. HOWEVER both channels do have a VERY faint hum but the hum doesnt get louder even if the volume is up. the amp can play anything from blues to some modern hard rock, i wouldnt recommend this for death metal or anything like slipknot or mushroomhead where you need so much gain that you can tell tonal changes. the distortion can go from a warm tube sound (very nice) to a grated fender hot rod sound (nice but ear painful). the virtube technology is amazing. this amp is not loud enough for playing in extremely large gigs, but then again waht solid state combo is. ive played in a skate park all the way up to a basketball stadium with this and it seems to be loud enough. if you put it through the PA then you dont have worry about buying a power amp or extension cab. but if you are a band thats been playing for awhile and need a step up from those crappy practice amps get this amp. even if i got a half-stack id use this for practicing with the band.

Reliability : 10
i guess i explained about gigs and all above. but like i said the amp has plenty of power you just gotta learn how to utilize it thats all.

Customer Support : 10
behringer is known for the excellence in products and in everything and i trust them to the point where i dont need to send in the warranty card. i have always owned their products and theyve always been reliable

Overall Rating : 10
I think i have said everything taht could have been said, but ill jsut add that this amp has really been a change from my crate amp. maybe i think this amp is sooo great because the crate sucked or maybe this amp truely is amazing. i know all the words in the world couldnt convince you to buy this amp, the only thing that will is your ears. so go listen to the behringer, and maybe dont buy candy from the candy machine for just 3 weeks and youll have enough money to buy this. i cant say much more but this amp is amazing and i look forward to keeping it whether i get a much better amp down the road or not.

Got this new from AMS. This amp is so versatile! I use it in the studio and for gigs,in Austin,TX. From country to blues to industrial--I've used it on all. One extra effect pedal is all I use,for grunge distortion.

Sound Quality : 9
I use a Flying V with an X-2N in the bridge and a Kahler whammy. With proper EQ settings I can do country to metal with this amp--TOO MUCH!
Distortion only goes to a growl, not a body slam, but this amp ROCKS!

Reliability : No Opinion
Behringer stuff always outlives my other equipment.Just got this thing, but I'm anxious to put it throught the 3 week at a time road gig test.

Customer Support : 10
I've never had anything but good luck with Behringer stuff--this amp has fired up and rocked every time, but I've only had it a short time.
TRY THIS AMP OUT!

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for decades-since Disco,Devo and the Ramones- and play in an Industrial type band now. This amp has everyone stoked! It's great for practice and small live gigs through a PA. It'll never repalce a stack, for sure.
If it was stolen, some a$$ would be kicked!
TRY this amp out!!!!!!!!

All i can say is WOW!!!!! And i still cant get over the fact that i ripped behringer off. I really ripped them off. Im not going to explain the features, just read some of the earlier reviews. but this is the best amp in the world for the money you pay.

Sound Quality : 10
I use a Gibson Les Paul Std. and this amp can make the sounds of anywhere from country to modern rock, and sounds so much like a tube amp, that you cannot tell a difference. THE TEST. my friend owns a fender hotrod deville 212. We got someone to blindfold themselves and listen to both amps. They thought that the behringer was the tube amp and the hotrod was the solid state. I dunno how behringer did it but the virtube may be replacing all amps since the emulation is sooo amazing. as for the efx they are perfect!!!

Reliability : 10
the 210 can be gigged in small to medium gigs, whereas larger gigs would require either a 4x12 cab or mic the amp into the pa. no service required for virtubes.

Customer Support : 10
Musicians friend is teh best company in the history of the world, very friendly and honest, dont know about behringer company though

Overall Rating : 10
I would give this amp a 20 but its not possible so ill just leave it at 10. I cant say much, the only thing ill say is, go listen to this amp and youll never turn back, if it were stolen, id buy a new one in half a heart beat. and id go and hunt down the robber and kick their ass. THIS IS THE BEST AMP FOR THE MONEY, I REALLY RIPPED OFF BEHRINGER(SORRY GUYS). This amp should be worth at least 799$ but its modest price tag is 399$ do urself a favor and go listen to this, you wont be disappointed.

Using a Dean Radiant Acoustic Guitar the stereo chorus sounded good with the pick-up in guitar. No feedback, and good sounds. Then plugged in my Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus. With all the options this amp has with the build in effects, you can go from a stereo chorus amp sound to a combo and speaker cab types.I have always had tube amps. This amp sounds as good as most of them I have played. The big test will be when I play my Heritage 535 with new HRW pick-ups and the new VAR-I-PHASE. Where I can cut the hum buckers to single coils. This amp has two jacks, one for humbuckers and one for single coils. Be sure you plug into right jack.I have a Digitec RP 100 which most people like. The effects on the Behringer are as good,or better. And is all build in.What is nice is the 2 button solid made foot control. You can switch from clean to overdrive, with the effects on or off with the other button.Comes with a nice little card with how to set different settings like clean, crunch, drive, and headphones. The Rotary Speaker gave that Leslie sounds. The 2- 10" Jenson speakers sound great. For you who need the 12" speakers.Buy the 212. (I bought the 210,because later my plans was to put one 12" in with a 10" ) Custom builders of amps, and some have done this to get sound from both a 10" and 12" And looks like there is room to do this. But I'm so happy with the sound,I may just keep the 2-10" in there. The reverb has many settings from Spring to Plate. Plate really sounded good. When you test the amp, take your guitar. Or use a better guitar at music store.I may sell all my tube amps, and just keep this one.

Reliability : 9
Build solid! Like all Behringer products! The strip with the knobs funtions was a little loose. But I pressed it down. And the glue is holding. No big deal. But rated it 9 for this.

Been playing off and on for many years.Have a 65 Fender Deluxe,Ampeg Jet,1958 Gibson GA-5, Little Lanilei,Epiphone Electar 10, all tube amps. Had Crate Stealth, and VC models that I sold. This is really my first solid state with digital effects. I'm pleased with the tube like sound and the effects. For only $270, it sounds as good as amps $200 more and up. (I was thinking of a Peavey or Crate 40 CX+) because the good reviews on these two amps. But they only come with 2 8" speakers. This one had the 2 10" with build in effects. I bought it for home use. If playing live I would have got the 212.

Features : 10
2 x 30-Watt RMS stereo amp
Two original Jensen ? 35-Watt 10" speakers
Two channels with separate volume and FX
Morphing knob for instantaneous sound tweaking
Stereo 24-bit multi-effects processor with 99 presets
Insert, stereo aux in and line out plus headphone out
MIDI interface for remote channel and preset selection plus parameter control
Channel select/FX bypass footswitch included

The amp is very versatile and although my guitar experience is very limited, I have listened to a few amps and this one is very good for the price! I mostly play clean but the overdrive sounds good (not very powerful but it will do!) and couple that with the chorus stereo effect and you got a great sound! I use this amp mostly for playing at home and practising and I'll give it a try in recording at home with it. I think it's one of the best modeling amps out there within this price range.

Sound Quality : 8
My guitar is a cheap Ibanez Gax75 with 2 powersound humbuckers. The amp has two guitar inputs (a hi and a lo) for single coil pickup guitars and the other one for guitar with humbuckers.!
The amp is almost silent! You can hear almost no hiss in the clean channel and just a little hiss in the overdrive channel. The effects included in the amp make it very versatile but some of the effects I just don't like. For example: the wah effect sucks big time (compared to a competent pedal), the distortion one sounds ... ahhhh... different. Maybe it is my ears (and me being a newbie!).

Reliability : 8
Well... I just got it but it looks well built and Behringer is known to making great products. I think this thing is not powerful enough for being in a large gig but for practice and jamming I guess it suits well.!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Nope... Haven't dealt with them. I bought this unit thru American Musical Supply and their service is quite good and responsive.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing with acoustic guitars for three years and electric for four months. Although I don't know much, I think I made a good purchase overall. If it were stolen or lost, I'd probably get another one or maybe the GX212 if a have a few hundred dollars more! The Tech 21 Trademark 10 also sounds good in this price range but I think the volume issue will be a big thing!
