Behringer Amp made in 2002/3003. Bought 3rd hand - pawn shop special, paid $84.00 + tax. Previous owners used and abused. Nearly every knob broken (or replaced by dice???) This speaker was put through it's paces and then some. 99 effects +, has headphone jack, channel switching, plenty of power for a practice amp. I bought this amp to be a good practice amp... and it delivers! My ratings are based upon what the amp was intended to be... not vs. the ultimate ideal of an amplifier.

I play a Washburn Mercury Fat-Strat and a Fender Mexi-strat. I read the reviews on this site before buying it. I will say this... for a practice amp, this thing delivers EVERY sound you ever need. People who rated this amp a 8-9 because it only has 99 effects just don't know how to use the Parameter, Effect A, Effect B and Morphing knobs. True, this amp will NOT give you the best distortion and fuzz effects... but you rarely can expect an amp to give you that. Most serious players layer their effects. If you are using a distortion pedal in addition to this amp... you can get literally THOUSANDS of sounds. If you can't find your specific sound, then good luck looking pal. The GX210 isn't the be-all end-all amp... but used layered with any other effects pedal, the possibilities are endless. I give it a Nine only because a Ten is magnificent. The Behringer GX210 will not dissapoint.

I would never gig without a backup. This Behringer GX210 has been put through sheer hell. Knobs broken, cover torn... it was in pretty poor shape when I bought it for $84.00. It still has the original speakers and all electronics are in good working condition. That has to say something about the amplifier. The previous owners treated it badly, but with a little care and elbow grease, the amplifier is still in great shape. I won't abuse it, but will never question it's reliability. I only wish the knobs weren't so easily broken. The casing is well built.

Behringer... good company. I downloaded their user's manual on-line. Good customer support. Behringer is known for their relatively low prices and decent products. The GX210 amp is one of their better products.

I own several practice amps; Gorilla, Peavey, Fender and others. The Behringer GX210 is an amp in a class of it's own. The effects are decent. Anyone who says the 99 effects sound about the same has no ear. However, the effects themselves are not the final end-all. By using the Parameter and Effects A & B and morphing knobs... you can get just about any sound you would want from Angus Young to SRV. However, you will want to use this in cascade along with a distortion pedal, flanger, chorus or phaser. If you play a little, you can get ANY sound you even thought possible. I bought a 210 because I wanted the playability of a clean virtube 210, with getting the driven sound at relatively low volume. A 212 would be overwhelming in volume when it is just getting warmed up. Oh... if it ever came up missing, I would lay a serious curse on the one who took it. They would return it or else.

The other reviews here have a good run down of the features, so I won't repeat them here. I bought this mainly as a practice and recording amp. It was marketed as a "guitar workstation". It's got a slew of built in effects along with distortion. Its got a bunch of ins and outs to use the effects processor as a studio tool.

The sound is pretty good from two "special design" 10 inch Jensen speakers. It's not especially clear, but not to muddy either. You can get a lot of different sounds out of the 99 effects, but are limited to one at a time. There are a few coupled together like flange/reverb and chorus/delay, but mostly they are one at a time. You control various effect parameters with three front panel knobs. You can also overwrite the presets with your own parameters. But the included footpedal only turns the effects on and off. You'll need a MIDI controller to switch effects on the fly. Supposedly a MIDI pedal would also allow you to dynamically control the wah and some other effects. Otherwise your going to have to run back to your amp and scroll through 30 or 40 effects. Not practical playing live. There is also an annoying one second delay while switching effects. The distortion is only passable. It uses a morphing knob to alter the distortion characteristics. I only found settings from 7 to 9 really usable. The rest of the range was just too screechingly annoying. A Mid-Boost button makes it howl. I was glad that it came with a headphone out, but found that it was not usable due to buzzing. That's what I get for buying from a catalog without trying it first.

Here's where things go south. Of course, you get a 1 year warranty. After I owned this for about a year and a half, it started to pop. At first it was only once in a while and I thought it was just line noise. But at year five it sounds like a gieger counter at Chernobyl for the first few minutes its on. The only way to use it now is without any effects at all. Any attempt to get it fixed will cost more than a new amp, so it is basically disposable. I'll give it one point for every year that its worked reliably.

Since I bought it online, I can't just drop by the shop to have a counter monkey check it out. I've contacted a couple of the authorized service centers to see about getting the amp fixed, but by the time I pay to ship the amp and pay the minimum service fee, I would already come close to buying a new amp. A couple of local shops wouldn't touch it due to all the inbred digital crap. If I were going to buy another Behringer product, I'd check their website to make sure that an authorized service center was close by and I'd make sure my receipt was in a safe place.

This amp has been a lesson for me. Less is more. An amp should be an amp and effects should be effects and not mixed together. I liked the idea of an all-in-one unit at the time, but practically, it doesn't work that well. I probably won't buy anymore Behringer products. I have a couple of old Acoustic amps that needed some attention, but at the time, I thought my money was better spent buying new. I was wrong. The Acoustics have 10x the tone and just about anyone can repair them. I'll invest my money in repairing them and maybe a decent outboard pedal rig. I might try to salvage the Behringer by ripping out the amp and using the speakers as an extension cabinet or monitor.

The GX210 is a German Guitaramp with modeling effects. The effects are good, but there are only 2 parameters per effect. It has 2 channels, bad and very bad. The clean channel is reasenble but the distortion is terrible. It has an effects loop, headphone jack and more. This amp can be used for practising with a band, with 2x 30 watts you can hear yourself when someone's drumming.

As a said The clean channel is reasenble but the distortion is terrible. There is just one 3 bands equalizer for both channels so its impossible to let both channels sound good. My music style is Hardrock, and this amp is nog suitable for Rock. Maybe it can be used in an pop-coverband cause it has a lot of effects. But the distorion is not good enough to play anything louder. The clean channel allmost distorts a bit, but if you crank it up past volume-level 7 ( of 10 ) it's allmost distorts more than the distortion channel. I think the clean channel sounds best at 3 ( and thats not hard enough for any gig. It is possible to save a bit of the sound by only using the pre-amp of this amp and plug it on to an power-amp or the P.A.-system. Because the bad sound is for a great part caused by the power-amp section of this amp

You can not depend on this amp!!! After one year it just falls apart. The cnobs break off very easily. While playing gigs we had multiple times that the volume of the amp just increased a lot, without someone touching it, in the middle of the song. That is not cool when playing. My friend has the same amp, and he has the same problems as I have. At this time there barely comes sound out of his amp, even when the amp is cranked all up you don't hear mucht. While he used to be much louder. And both amps are just 1,5 years old....
Really not reliable

I believe the thing came with one year warranty. Very clever to give just one year warranty, because after one year it starts to fall apart

Sold the damn thing after about 1,5 years. This thing is terrible, it just falls apart after 1 year. It looks like an reasenble deal cause the amp doesn't cost much but it isn't word the money. Its better to buy a good amp at once than buy a behringer guitaramp.
The poweramp-section of this amp is the most worce. The only way to get a good sound of it is by using the pre-amp sound trough the P.A., or through a good poweramp. What I also hate about the thing is that its possible to reset the amp!!! Reset an amp??? and yeah, sometimes you realy need to reset it, if you hit a wrong button, you dissable the footswitch. I've searched about 2 months what was wrong with my footswitch... That's not very user-friendly.

Bought in January 2004, so likely a 2003 model. 2 channel solid state amp with nice tube emulation. 2X30 watts thru 2 10's, stereo out's (which was actually kind of annoying when I plugged the amp directly into the sound system, because I only get one channel on the mixer board) Lots of presets, very good effects, though the one thing I really dislike is that you don't get several user presets, you only get the choice of effects on/off.

As i said before, great tube simulation. If you sit one of my tube amps (Peavey Bravo 112 or VTM 60 thru a Marshall 412), the difference is pretty clear. However, I feel the tube simulation is a lot closer than a Peavey or Crate in the same category (Which were the amps I was considering before buying this amp). Very fender-ish clean tone, sparkling clean with a nice, warm feel to the bottom end. Distortion is a bit weak for the kind of music I play (somewhere between post-hardcore and screamo), but I managed okay. I primarily play through my VTM now, which achieves about the same or maybe a little higher level of distortion, so I can't complain. After you turn the volume knob past 6 or so, there begins a rather unnatural sounding distortion, like it's produced by the speakers, not the amp itself. Never really had a reason to crank it that high, though, except for one show we played before I bought my Marshall. The clean channel is much more impressive than the distorted, as I didn't even need to sit my amps side by side to tell the difference. Overall, however, fantastic sound.

Highly reliable. Only thing I could complain about is the footswitch, which is plastic, but it never broke or cracked. Plus, you gotta cut costs somewhere for an item that's under $200 new.

Great amp, would highly recommend it for anyone. Great practice amp, will work for gigging smaller venues just fine. Played an epi Les Paul through it and sounded sweet. I've already had to sell it, but I might consider it again in the future as a gift for a budding guitarist or just to play around with. The main draw is the price, as you can't get a crap amp of this size/wattage for a similar price. Behringer makes high quality products, in my opinion. Our singer plays my Marshall MG100HDFX through a Behringer 412 cab, and it actually sounds crisper than through the Marshall cab I bought with it. If you're seriously considering buying this amp, then look no further.

I dont know about the year of this amp. 2003?. The styles i play is mostly bluesy, funky and jazzy stuff. The sounds that you can get from this amp are pretty cool. If you like Scofield, Mike Stern, Scott Henderson and you dont want to spend a lot of money in your gear, this is the amp for you. You can get really sweet and warms souns. It had a good auto wha, very cool delays and some other sounds like flangers, chorus and otcavers. You can get a pretty cool tube sound too. Now, if you are a metal kind of guy, you are nor gona like this one. The overdrive is not designed to play metal stuff.
The only problem i encounter in ths amp is the difficult to acces the differents sounds. You have to do it manually, so im going to give it a 9. But i must said i love this amp.

My guitar is a Cort. Dont really know the model, but i had two humbukers and a single coil in the middle position. I use a dunlop crybaby (Gp135? or something like that), a dod octaplus and a boss metalizer for more heavy stuff. Cool sounds in general. Very tube sound like. I love this amp, couse you can really get a bluesy tone if you want, and a jazzy-funky-scofield-chorus sound like too.

An (unfortuantely discontinued) 2003/2004 GX210 (I have two). Two channels w/Level (volume) only on Clean channel, Gain channel has Distortion (gain), "Morph", Presense and Level, master EQ section affecting both channels, Aux Input Level and Master Volume contrals. Effects section with 99 presets and controls for tweaking various effects settings. Lots of I/O options, capable of acting as a slave unit or powering external speakers/cabs. 60W (2x30W) passively cooled solid-state amp with very good tube emulation. Moderate weight, fairly easy to lug around. Stock speakers are custom designed Jensen 10/35's. Overall a very versatile amplifier PROVIDED ONE READS THE MANUAL and experiments enough to discover the true potential of this amp.
More than enough clean, warm power to play medium-small venues and for home/studio use. Capable of providing tones from very clean and loud to rather heavy distortion (with tweaking, as mentioned before) but a disortion pedal would be required for those who want over-the-top gonzo-style shredding. For us more moderate folk, this amp will easily cover everything from clean acoustic to hard rock.
Various I/O and MIDI control options make this a potentially very versatile amp. The only thing that irks me is that the ability to drive externals speakers/cabs or slave this as a powered cab for another preamp is limited because these two functions are combined in a single set of connectors (no chaining multiple amps) and can require having to make custom cables that won't be useful for any other purpose.

Using primarily with a Peavey Generation EXP Custom ACM (electric guitar with great acoustic emulation). Also extensively tested with various electric, acoustic/electric steel and nylon string guitars and even a bass guitar. This amp is played primarily for contemporary praise & worship in a medium-large venue and easily handles anything thrown at it. I normally set it up clean and loud and let a V-Amp 2 take care of distortion and effects just because it's easier to shift patches that way. However, if the V-Amp were to eat it in the middle of a set I could easily accomplish everything at the GX210.
As others here have mentioned, others have completely missed and as with any piece of gear with a plethora of options and features, it takes time to find out what this amp can do and how to make it do what you want. That time is very well spent and worth every second.
The clean channel is very clean yet warm with a very slight, natural compression. Mixed with a touch of chorus (recommend effects patch 36 with Parameter at 16, Effect A at 14 and Effect B at 22) works well for any clean guitar tone and I was rather shocked to discover how well it worked with acoustic guitars. Most "electric guitar" amps sound either very thin or very bassy with an A/E guitar but this one gives a (once again) clean, warm sound that's balanced and articulate even at higher volumes. At extreme volumes it developes a very "pumpy" sound and it becomes nearly impossible to control the dynamics of one's playing, but back it down just a little bit and it behaves very well. There can be a barely noticable hum (assuming 60Hz) from the amp's speakers but no more (and in many cases far less) than other amps. Lifting the ground on the input side of the amp is usually an easy fix for this.
The second channel offers two levels, if you will, of distortion. A very mild distortion is provided via the Distortion control. Punch in the "Mid Boost" button and the distortion can be cranked up several notches into the zone just past the far end of being useful for blues. Moderate settings using just the channel controls produce a clear, defined distortion with a singing, bell-like quality reminiscent of Santana and perfect for all sorts of leads, with a very controlable interaction between the guitar and the amp that never verges on real feedback. Properly set up, the tones that come from this amp with a neck humbucker are so tasty it's hard to describe. If you add the "Magic Drive" effect found in effect patch 69 to the mix, the distortion plants its feet very firmly in rock territory when the Gain channel is cranked. Some very tasty tones can be coaxed from the amp like this but it does get a bit noisey.
More tonal versatility is available via all the various built in effects which includes very usable and tastful versions of all the standard pedal effects plus a couple of combo/stack emulations. They're all pretty standard fare but sound very good, useful for any live situation and most recording situations that don't require very specific control over all effect parameters or the kind of tone that you can only get from a "1976 Barium-Impregnated Tube Gargler painted a Specific Shade of Purple running on a Ever So Slighty Discharged Carbon Cell 9-Volt Battery blessed by the Pope himself on the Second Thursday of the Month," know what I mean?
Bottom line: For clean and mildy distorted bluesy tones, find good tone is just a matter of playing with the knobs. You want something with a harder edge, you'll have to tweak a little more but it's there if you look. And if you can't find something to like about this amp (especially given it's price) you're either not trying or have already biased yourself against good equipment that's also a good value.

Never had any Behringer gear go south on me yet. As far as the cabinet and hardware go, this is easily as tough as anything else out there. A carpet covering would have been nice to show fewer of the dings that will inevitably come but only bass amps seem to get that treatment so no hit on Behringer for that. The knobs may potentially be a problem down the road as they are not heavy duty discrete pots. Instead they are PC board mounted pots, which typically aren't are tough overall and have plastic posts which are more likely to get snapped off as opposed to more resilient metal posts. That being said, as long as this amp is carried and protected as you would any decent piece of gear there's no reason it shouldn't last a lifetime.

Been playing for over 20 years. Okay, there was a 10-year gap in the middle of that, but anyway... Over the years I've owned lots of gear and had the chance to play lots of guitars through lots of amps. There are a lot of amps that have great character, regardless of being tube or solid state. Tone is tone, who cares what generated it as long as it sounds good? What many folks don't seem to get is that if you suck as a player, you'll suck just as much through a $10,000 hand built tube amp as you will through a $50 pawn shop special, and vice versa - great players don't feel the need to be tone snobs.
That being said, of the dozen or so amps I've owned and dozens more I've heard, the Behringer GX210 isn't the one I like the most, but that is NOT to say that it sucks. On the contrary, on a purely dollar-for-dollar, bang-for-the-buck basis it's on the top of the list! At under $200, grabbing one of these in decent shape from eBay or used somewhere is almost like stealing it. Want to record? This baby will deliver tasty tones direct to the board, but sounds so sweet mic'd up that it would be a shame not to do so. Want to play live? It's small enough to make a great practice amp but loud enough to play small venues on it's own. It's emulation of tube effects on the dynamics of your playing is spooky - close your eyes and you'll picture a Fender Twin sitting there in front of you. But open your wallet and you'll see the extra $1000 you'd have spent on that Fender.
Your call, dude.

Not sure of the age, but I got slightly used, 2/2005. I have played through many amps, this one is plenty loud, clean, and is very simple to set-up. Lots of line out options, 2 channels, plenty of onboard effects. I have read nearly all current reviews, and want to remind all owners or potential owners, Behringer states on their web site, "mild" distortion. If you want more, spend $99.00 on the V-amp2 or buy a pedal. If you want distortion in the amp itself, buy one designed for that purpose. Me, I wanted a clean, "Twin Reverb" sound, and it delivers. I lead worship for about 450-600, and it holds it's own. 30wx2 stereo, is plenty. If you need more easy fix, line out to your board, and use it only as you backline monitor. Face it folks, you can mic it like the old days, if you are going to fill an auditorium with sound, no matter the size of the amp, you will need your sound spread out....

I am playing a PEAVEY Generation EXP Piezo Quilt Top. It models a Martin D-28, has a Humbucker neck, single mid, hot rail at the bridge. This amp, reprduces the Acoustic very well, no need for a designated Acoustic Amp. I also does great with the Electric side. Once again, if you want heavy distortion, you will need some additional toys. However, this amp delivers all that it was designed to do. Mainly, to offer "twin" quality "tube" clarity sound. I use a Vamp2, feed my 210 with it, as it can give you any sound you want. It sounds great as a stand alone, the vamp just adds lot's more toys to an already solid amp

30 years + as a gigging musician. I now lead Worship, and we play Christian blues/rock, along with acoustic styles, why I needed and wanted a clean amp. I own a Bandit 65, Bob Weir Ibanez 1977 Tree of Life, 1965 Guild Archtop, '78 Guild D-55 with Hot Dots, several 1934 Paramount Archtops equiped with DeArmond sliding Pick up, Fernandez Tele, and my workhors, 2004 Peavy Gen. Anyway, my point is great gear, does not always have to set you back huge bucks.
The GX210, is for any player, a great tool, and great value. Don't go only for the name, test them out, play one, then play the high end unit, is there really that much (hundreds of dollars woth) of a difference. In my opoinion, there is not...

I'm playing an Ibanez Jet King 2 (2 humbuckers w/coil taps) in addition to a Les Paul Double Cut Plus through the amp. It produces a bit of hum but I live in the dorms of my University and it is 60-cycle hum hell here, so don't take that into consideration. I love this amp because I've always wanted my own twin amp and it delievered exactly what I was looking for. Beautiful stereo sound and a sweet overdrive that, by looking at the other reviews, seemingly only I like. THat's weird though because who's been playing since middle school (12 years) say that he loves the overdrive on this thing. It's so natural and warm, I guess that's what some people call tame. Look, if you wanna play metal, don't go for something that's supposed to be more like a Fender Twin Reverb than a Marshall stack.
Anywho, I play all styles, but I mostly play Post-Rock and Shoegazer type stuff (think Radiohead, Explosions In The Sky, etc.). This amp really fills the bill, I need crystal-clear clean channels for the sounds I want to make and a very natural reverb. Luckily, this thing has 16 very tweakable reverb settings from Spring to Ambience. I also loves me my overdrive and it gives me all I need to play some experimental blues (and I overdrive like hell when I play the blues).
Don't forget the Stereo capabilities, you can have your delay, tremolo, etc all come through in stereo. It's magic to record with.

I've been playing for nearly 4 years. I've been playing bass for most of that, but I know what my sound is, just from having to hear a ton of guitarists I hated and a few guitarists that were a dream to jam with. I'd hate to lose this thing, it's the best value amp I ever purchased and it completes my equipment chain. If this amp isn't on the end of it, my gear sounds like crap. The only thing I wish I had from this amp is the higher end version of the amp, the GX212. I can imagine having that extra wattage makes this system top notch. Great value, great sound, no hassle, that's all I need. Thanks Behringer.

This amp was probobaly made in 2002 or 2003 but has since been sadly discontinued. I play noise rock ala Sonic Youth, Black Dice, MBV... etc. IT has 2 channels but i only use the clean the distortion channnel is pretty weak, but for mild overdrive is ok. It comes with a footswitch which is very easy to use, it switched into effects very smoothly. The effects are digital and are decent and easily customizable but I prefer vintage analog effects. I do wish it had the jack for external loudspeaker so one could hook it upto a cabinet. You can hook it up to another amp for more juice however. It has a headphone jack with switch works very well. It has 60 watts, I'd prefer a little more however it is just fine considering if i run it connected with another amp.

The amp has 2 10" Jensen speakers and they really sound great, one of the amps amazing bang for the buck type features. The amp is strong, i hacent blown any speakers or fuses yet and Ive owned it over a year now. I 've pushed some serious feedback thru it and it's been fine. I own a bunch of effects and often run 3 distortions simultaneously. I love the speakers and tone of this amp, and enjoy the effects although I prefer stomp boxes and analog type effects over these digital amp effects, they're really not as bad as some say. But i do wish i got the 212.

Everything else is really good and easy to set.

I'm using a sz ibanez plugged in a dm4 and the distortion comes out well.
However the amp can not deliver a damn drop of decent distortion.
The clean channel is good even at high volumes however the sound is a bit digital...

the amp has lots of features considering its under 250$. it has 99 preset effects and 2 channels to separate the dirty and clean sounds. it even includes a footswitch and headphone jack for nighttime play. i do wish it would have separate adjustments for the clean and dirty channels though cause its sometimes hard to adjust it to where they both sound right.

I have played several guitars through this amp. some of which include a custom washburn SSH, an american strat, a powerhouse strat, and i currently am playing a PRS custom 22 through it. it sounds like a typical preset amp and i find nothing worth bragging about on the dirty channel.(its pretty lame) the clean channel is actually pretty good sounding. more than half of the presets are worthless copies of each other. they should have just put 10-30 good ones since you can alter them if you want.

this amp has temper problems. some days it will work fine and others it will make stupid noises the entire time you play it. i was told it does this czuse of my strat, but it even does this for my PRS. on its good days its an 8 and on the bad a 4 so it gets a 6

Many effects to mess around with, but there could have been a whole lot less of them. You usually create one preset and that's it. No need for 5 chorus-effects!! Channel Switching has a slight delay, which can be annoying if you want to switch between channels fast. I wish you could use 2 effects at the samen time and that it had a seperate reverb effect.
2x 30 watt is more than enough for rehearsal and small gigs. In my bedroom I don't want to set the volume past 2, because I'll be blown against the wall. Absolute breathtaking tube-simulation, especially on the clean channel.

I'm using a Epi SG with Elixirs (0.52 - 0.11(heavy, yeah I knoooow:D)) and this amp ROCKS. I play Punk and Rock, and this amp suits me perfectly. The clean channel is warm and full and CLEAN. I use a Boss OS-2 to boost the OVERDRIVE-channel. This provides me with enough gain to play The Darkness-songs on this amp. Here's the trick: set your level at max, your tone at 1/8, your drive just a twinch past 0, and your colour at about 9-10 o'clock. Perfect tube-saturated, thick distortion. The amp isn't noisy even when playing at full volume.

I'd probably buy this amp again -if I have enough money- as a backup or as a second amp for clean or crunch sections. This amp is really great for a starting rocker, just be shure to buy a decent dist/od-pedal.

Read below. Lotsa stuff here but you will need the midi pedal to get the effects switching. With the included (high quality) footswitch you can swith between clean and OD channels and effects on and off on each dialed in to your liking giving you four options. Some effects are very good not excellent), alot are crap. Hate to be redundant but I concur that this amp does have a great, ALMOST tube-like clean channel...comparable to the Roland SS amps. Jensen (though bottom line) speakers sound great with plenty of range.

I play everything through this amp, single coils, humbucks. acoustics. It is my bedroom, garage, practice, who cares save the tubes and have fun cuz it was cheap box. Blues and classic rock, a little surf. Lotsa fun tweaking and goofing off. No clean headroom alan Twin here but great digital effects for little bucks. I have read alot about how the distortion sucks, here is the secret....thr EQ knobs are active...max the bass and treble and cut the mid...then play with the effects and you will find a distortion to suit. Do this with the distortion channel and effect 25 and play some Stones in open G....Keef! The delay and reverb are OK too. Very digital cheap crappy sound for the most part but so much fun. Clean is CLAEN and sparkles....round! I was amazed by the clean with all guitars. The HIGH input gives a little more edge.

The effects are great only if you have the MIDI controller for it. 99 effects and they all have presets so if you got a sound in your head, this amp will get it out. And if also you happen to play at a place with stereo channels then you can take advantage of the stereo selay and thing like. The thing also haves alot of in's and out's so thats more stuff to work with. AGAIN THIS AMP IS GREAT IF YOU DONT HAVE A LOT OF CASH

The amp has vertu-tube technologie in it and that gives it a NICE CLean sound. Now the Distortion on the other hand isnt all that great just bad tone, for some that knows their sound. but if you just mess around then it should be fine, other wise go buy a REAL distortion pedal. the effects sound nice, and it also hase amp modeling. The three band EQ is great easy to get a good sound out of, not much base, but again this isnt the amp for a "punk Rocker"
all in all it sounds great.

THIS AMP IS VERY DEPENDABLE. The only problem is that you might need a ground lift (or a pair of plyers if you know waht i mean) if your playin at place with bad wiring. Nothin's broke on it and i've had it for a year. i use it in gig's every week, and any other time in between. Now this amp is GREAT for someone like me who doesnt have alot of cash, the only thing that this amp needs to make it the best "Poor muscians set up" is the MIDI controller, with that theres nothing this amp cant do. So if your not into heavy metal then buy it, other wise look some were else. All in all its great.

Amp was made in '02, I think. It's got a buttload of effects, 99, to be exact. However, they are mostly groups. 2 distortions, a few delays, etc. 2 channels. You can turn off the speakers and use a headphone for quiet practice. It's useful in small to medium gigs. It doesn't have great distortion, but a pedal should solve that. Very good deal.

Made in 2003. If anything the amp is too versatile and doesn't focus on 2 or 3 things. It is billed as a stereo "worksation" and there's the clue! I bought this amp used of e-bay for #100 (145 euros) and for the money its a lot of amp. Very well built and has Jensen speakers. As other have said, the dirty channel is well..pants except if you turn the overdrive to 1 and everything else pretty much 7 ish. If you want a bit more distortion go to 2 with the overdrive.. after then it sounds VERY tinny.

I play a Washburn Idol 164 with standard humbuckers and a Squire Strat through it. Because the clean channel is really good, its good for playing blues through. When I first got it I hated it, but having worked with it for a month it's growing on me. I've tried all the sounds in the DSP module and will never use most of them. When I play through my Boss PW-10 wah I can get great sounds through the clean channel - mind you the pedal cost more than I paid for the amp so perhaps that shouldn't be a surprise

I've just returned to guitar after a 20 year absence - I played bass in a band in my teens. If this amp was stolen or lost I'd get something else. Great clean channel and reasonable dirty one now I've sussed the settings. Great amp for a beginner if you get a used one because you can use the effects (chorus, flange, delay etc) and see if these sounds are to your liking before spending a fortune on pedals.

Two Channel, 30 watt stereo transistor "trans-tube" amp with 2-10 inch Jensen Speakers and built-in effects, 99 of 'em. I was going to use this amp in rehearsle but have decided to use along with my Mark IV because the clean sound is absolutely great, clear, warm. The built-in effects are very good. The dirty channel is a little weak on the distortion front. For a 30 watt amp this amp is also a little weak on the volume side as well. I mean, a Boogie 30 watt'er will just blow this little shit away and eat its speakers for breakfast! But hey, I didn't pay a thousand bucks for it and it doesn't weigh 60 lbs.!!! We mic our amps in the band so it's just not that big an issue for me. One feature that is really cool and useful is the stereo tape in/out on the back of the amp to connect a CD, tape player so you can rehearse. I use it to connect my POD in stereo, very cool, and I can't do that with my Boogie! The tape input has a separate volume control on the front of the amp so I can actually have three amps on stage, Boogie, GX210 and my POD. How's that for a versatile sound??
The effects are very good and can be adjusted and stored. A major negative is you cannot move patch settings from, let's say patch no 1 to patch 10. You must live with their pre-set numbers which makes the midi pedal FCB1010 a must purchase for this amp. This makes the ahole salespeople very happy! If you want to go from, let's say, patch 1 to patch 60 you can't get there with a standard midi pedal. All my midi pedals are not programmable. So, if you buy this amp be prepared to spend another $120 to get the footcontroller or you'll have to dial the effects in manually, which really sucks! I would have rated this amp a 10 on features but the midi implementation makes no sense to me but probably does to the Behringer marketing Dept. So now I get to write a review on the FCB1010 foot controller!

The clean channel is absolutely very cool. If you like a Fender Twin then you'll like this amp's sound too. Good bass, responsive mid and highs. One interesting point is if the treble, mid and bass controls are at 0 then there is no sound at all! So in a way the tone controls also impact volume. So maybe if I open the tone contols to 10 this amp will scream! I'll have to check that out.
I use a PRS EG3 single coils and a Gibson Les Paul. Both guitars sound great through this little amp. The distorted sound is ok for pop rock but forget about getting a Santana sound or Creed, Fuel etc. I use my Boogie for that and I also use a Boss Metal pedal.

I emailed customer support because I couldn't get enough volume even when I set it wide open. I was using the second input on the front of the amp which isn't as loud as the primary or first one. In my defense the manual indicates that humbucker pickup guitars should use the second input. You can totally dis-regard that note. Tech support was quick and very helpful.

like the prevous guy said, has tons of features. has the 99 presets (although at least 1/2 seemed either useless or repetitive) but it's nice when you find a sound you like, you can just flip to that # and its right where you want it. i believe the presets are also overridable if you fine tune it better yourself. also nice were all the input and output options. i have a vamp2, and i'd spilt the signal to a pa system and this amp. Worked nice. Weighs around 35 lb.. so pretty lite for 2-10"ers

i use a Gibson firebrand with humbuckers, and i thought the sound was pretty sweet when you got the right one. i was hoping i'd be able to play my acoustic through it also, but was not real happy with that sound. It made my high notes sound way too high. Maybe i just didn't have all the dials in the right spot. i mainly play in a small church, and this has/had plenty of volume for that, but since our praise band is planning on playing out, i need more POWER!

Decent features - Processor is decent for the money I guess. I use mostly the reverb and delay. Preset 20 I believe. Now the thing I do not like about this is the dirty(distortion) channel. The morphing knob is terrible and messes things up worse than it does any good. I would be happy if you could dial in a sound like the clean channel but it has not been possible so far. It sounds real mid range or something. Hard to describe the exact sound of it. Not good is about the best I can do. BUT the clean channel is VERY good. It is good enough that I give it a 7. Very tube amp sounding clean channel for 200 bucks.

I am running a fender strat (70's) with 54 classic bridge and 2 Van Zandt's in mid and neck wired TBX - The only box I use is a Rocktron Rampage which also had a mod done to fit what I needed. Playing mostly all blues and some rock. The amp does seem to have some sort of low 120Hz hum to it. It is not the guitar because it does it with no cords plugged into it. It is not extremely load but is really annoying when recording with it. I am not sure it is just my amp or if all of them do it though. Over all not much of a variety being that in my opinion you are limited to using the clean channel for a semi-pro sound out of it. It does seem to turn up decent for 35 watts. Of course like I said before the distortion is terrible!!

Well it is not bads I guess. What do you expect for 200 bucks? stereo and fx's built in? plus load enough for small shows or practice with a very nice clean channel. So overall it is pretty good. I have been playing for about 10 years now and went through thousands of dollars worth of stuff. Recently downgraded A LOT and decided to by a cheap amp and a decent guitar and just play for fun around the house and jam with friends now and then. For this I think I made a good decision. If I were playing professionally or semi-pro I would have somethign else for sure. But this overall is a good deal. Just be prepared to buy a good distortion pedal!!

I play a standard Strat with stock pickups and an Alvarez Yairi with a pop in Fishman Neo-D, very basic stuff. I play mostly blues, rockabilly and country. The clean channel is just that...CLEAN! The distortion channel is, again, OK but not in the metal category, just a little drive. The effect number 37 with the distortion channel provides a pretty good rock sound. The thing is not very loud or powerful in my opinion. I frequently max the volume control when I'm jamming with the kids out in the garage or just goofing off in the house when nobody is around. I have alot of fun with the variety of effects but it takes alot of tweaking to dail in the tones that I would get from a tube amp with a few good pedals. The chorus and the delay are pretty good. The reverb and flanger are not. Overall decent sound but only at the price.

I've got an Ibanez Troubador 25 acoustic amp that just kicks the Behringers ass on tone and it's my dedicated bedroom amp, just wish it had a headphone jack. I'm really looking hard at the Roland Cube 30 to replace the Behringer if I decide to get rid of it. The best feature of this and the other Behringer amps is the price. Despite it't faults it is still a good deal at less than $200.

I primarily play Christian Rock and also play in praise and worship teams. I use a mild to moderate amount of overdrive but play clean/semi-clean most of the time. This amp has two channels and several different effects. Multiple output jacks on the back including a "line out" jack (very nice). It's 60W which is more than enough for me right now, but I'll likely upgrade to a similarly powered all-tube amp fairly soon. One of my biggest peeves with the amp is the fact that it doesn't have independent EQ's for each channel. It makes finding good tones for both channels pretty difficult sometimes.
Two 10" Jensen speakers is a plus though.

I play an American Series Tele through the amp and run it through the following effects setup:
1) Vox Wah (true-bypass)
2) Marshall ED-1 Compressor
3) Ibanez TS-808 modded TS-9 (probably soon to be replaced with a Fulltone Fulldrive 2)
4) Boss BD-2 (soon to be a Keeley BD-2)
5) Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor
6) Line 6 MM4
7) Danelectro Dan-Echo (Delay)
8) Ernie Ball Volume
The amp is versitile in that it packs alot of features into a small and affordable package, but the quality of them is pretty low (the price of the amp should've been my first clue). I was looking for an affordable amp at the time that could double as both a practice amp for my apartment, but also for use live at my church. I wasn't looking for something with high-quality overdrive specifically because I tend to rely on my pedals for that.
The clean channel is decent. There's really not alot to say about it because the EQ can tweak it to put out an acceptable tone. The overdrive channel though has very life-less overdrive. There is a "morphing" knob which changes the overall sound of the overdrive and it's kinda cool, but still, you're tweaking a lifeless overdrive. Regardless of how it's tweaked, it's still lifeless.
It does have several different effects, but I'm finding that if any, I use reverb only. Everything else can be replaced by my pedals.
One other thing I dislike about the amp is that in switching channels and/or the effects, there's a time delay between the switch. Basically, play on the clean channel for the verse of a song, stomp on the effects or the second channel, and there's about half-a-second where you definitely hear it switch. Almost a complete mute before the overdrive/effects kick in. Pretty poor... As long as you don't switch channels/effects very often this isn't a problem, luckily.
All that being said, it has a somewhat acceptable clean channel, very poor overdrive channel, and poor effects.

It does only cost $199 brand new at Musicians Friend, and so I wasn't expecting a brutal work-horse of an amp. Like I said above, I was only looking for a fairly versitile and affordable amp with decent watage and a combo of at least 2 10's. That being said, I promptly broke off one of the knobs while carrying it. It didn't break off by hitting a doorjam either. It broke off by brushing against my pants. Granted, I was carrying a bunch of other stuff at the time, but it should last longer than that, right? Apparently not.
I don't anticipate any other problems with it, and probably wouldn't try to get it replaced/worked on if it did. I only bought it used for $135 after all...

Decent practice amp for apartments/small venues (such as what I use it for), but don't think of it as a good performance amp. It's not built for that. If you're looking for a bunch of effects and think this is a decent alternative to Line 6, you're sadly mistaken. The effects are pathetic, with the exception of the reverb and some delay. If it were stolen, I'd promptly replace it with something else.
Not bad for the $135 I paid for it (it fulfilled my expectations), but definitely not worth another $135.

Don't know when the amp was built, but it doesn't matter, because is great. A lot of versatility, two channels, a 24-bit on board effect rack, to many ins & outs, jensen equiped etc. I won't say anything about watts and stuff like that, because if you are coming here to inform yourself about the amp, it's because you already saw it. I'll mostly give my opinion on its features.

I use a Washburn -two humbuckers Lp style- which is great, but the pickups itself are a little weak. Anyway this amp rocks. I play almost everything but metal, and the behringer suits all sort of styles really smoothly. No noise, a great clean channel, a dirty channel like the evil, crunchy or creamy, you decide. And beside all the effects you can ask for, and are as good and even better than the effects you find in another units -dedicated to the fx's- like digitech. It's true the distortion won't do the Kill'em all, but it's for rock. The most important thing: The great Quality of the sounds. It's a pro.

this makes a very good blues amp. most of the other reviews have commented on how bad the overdrive channel is but if you spend a little time dialing it in, you can come up with a nice gritty blues sound. clean channel is awesome- very fender like. it has warmth similar to a tube amp but to me still doesn't really nail it. i found at higher volumes using a strat with vintage style pickups the sound can get a little midrange heavy to a point of shrillness. even with the mid knob all the way down. running a LP with 490's will yeild a decent crunch ok for rythem but thats about it. clean channel with LP is very dark & jazzy.

This amp is a nice true replica of the classic Fender Twin amp. It is not an amp designed to model every other amp on the planet! I compared the ultratwin against the Fender and the Vetta at a local music store. The following is what I found:
Clean Channel- I would use the ultratwin's clean channel for any critical recording session both in the home or studio! Its that good. It is quiet as a church mouse and responds nicely to your playing style. Adding the built in chorus or spring reverb takes the sound over the top. The ultratwin hung tough with the Vetta and Fender Twin all the way even at high volume. Given its size, however, it could never get as loud as the Fender or Vetta. Bottom line- If your looking for good solid guitar tone with enough body to make J-Lo envious this amp is worth checking out.
OverDrive Channel- The O/D channel is very nice as well. You can get some classic sounds out of this thing that covers every rock song recorded from the 50's (Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, etc.), 60's (Cream, Hendrix, etc.) and 70's (Old Sabbath, Zep, etc.). Similarly, you can get southern rock (MollyHatchet, ZZ top, Bad Company, etc.)out of the ultratwin as well as punk (dead kennedys, Clash, etc.)and modern rock (Police, Billy Idol, etc.). You will not be able to get over the top gain out of this amp (e.g., Halen, GodSmack,Metalica, etc.) or Nu-Metal (e.g., system of down, disturbed, etc.) unless you use outboard effects.
Effects- The effects in the ultratwin are surprisingly good! Particularly for an amp costing less than $200 dollars. The Spring Reverb and Chorus are excellent. The other effects are solid. I originally thought the wah wah effect sucked. I thought it sounded more like an envelope follower than a wah wah. Not until a friend of mine came over and started jamming with the ultratwin did I understand how cool the wah wah effect was. My buddy started laying down some classic R n B riffs (James Brown, Isely Brothers, Earth, Wind & Fire, Ohio Players, Gap Band, Etc.)and I began to see that the wah wah effect was no ordinary lame effect at all. When he slipped in some Maxwell and Macy Gray licks I was totally blown away. When he did some classic Marley and Jimmy cliff riffs with the wah wah effect I was sold. Bottom line- Do not give up on an effect because it may be designed for a specific type of vibe that you are not immediately aware of.
Summary- You can get clean sounds out of this thing ranging from the Beach Boys, to the Chilli Peppers, to West Montgomery. You can get dirty sounds from Hendrix to Clapton, to Green Day. I use my Line 6 POD, Boss MT-2 (Metal Zone) pedal, or Korg PX4 to get over the top gain sounds. Using these devices as insert effects makes the ultratwin sound really nasty. Great sound particulary when miked off axis in the studio.

Well, after playing two shows (at a rather shitty basement-type venue, to be more specific), I can now confirm that the amp can easily be used for smaller or medium sized gigs. I probably didnt even need to mic into the PA, but did anyway...Although their mics/PA sucked, so it didnt sound as good as it could have. Anyway, i'm still planning to get Behringer's 4x12 stereo cab to get some more headroom, so that will be nice. Over all, still a great great purchase to be had, amp-wise, for 200 bucks.

This is the best value buy possible. The clean sounds are excellent, the distrortion is Okee. (Don't think you can play deep Metal sounds with it, you need to spend more money than this.) I am using an Epiphone SG with Alnico V pickups. the kind of music i am playing is kind of funk/rock. the amp sounds really good in a room with carpet and other things to absorb excess shitnoise, but in a moist cold basement it blows a goat. If I turn it up to about 6 on the master , i start getting paranoid that i'm gonna blow the speakers. but if i'm mic'ing it through a PA then that isn't a problem. The isn't impressive at all when it's at full overdrive. This is most definately not an amp for really hard playing and really high volumes but when it's turned down and playig softer parts, it sounds great.

Made in 2002, it's got an amazing array of features for the price. Two channels, an EQ, a mid-boost and morphing control, a DSP, and a million outputs/inputs on the back. The speakers are 2 10inch 35watt Jensens. Plus, it even comes with its own footswitch (all-metal too). For $200 (at musiciansfriend.com), this is a ridiculous deal.

I usually play through a squier strat w/ fat fifties pickups and an epiphone les paul with stock pups. The clean channel is excellent. You can get anything from a crystal clear sound to mild overdrive to kinda a crunchy blusey sound. Combined with the effects, the clean channel is just terrific.
The Drive channel is a bit strange (the best word I can think of to describe it). It's not high gain at all, and achieves only an intense overdrive at max gain. The overdrive tone is not bad, but sounds a bit processed at certain positions. It's not that it sounds like solid state distortion, just that it doesn't quite nail valve distortion. Quirky is the best word for it.
However, this is not a big deal at all if you use pedals for your distortion and just use the clean channel. A BOSS Power Driver works wonders with the clean channel.
As for the effects, about half of them are good, and the other half sound cheesy. The reverbs are all good, chorus is very good, tremolo and phaser and flanger are decent, delay is pretty good too. The pitch shifter is interesting but sounds a bit processed. It is disappointing that two effects can't be combined at once. There are presets that combine two effects, but for example you can't combine compression with reverb or speaker cab emulation with delay.
I give the sound quality a 9 because of the clean channel and the better effects. The two 10 inch Jensens also sound excellent, and make the amp feel a LOT bigger than a 60watt 2x10 solid state. The virtu-tube (which should be called virtu-valve) simulation does its job very well, as the amp captures much of the valve 'feel' when playing and also sounds relatively close to a Fender clean channel. The amp is definely American based, and sounds 100% like an American amp for the most part. Don't buy this if you're looking for Brit sounds.

I've been playing for 6 years (since I was 12) and have owned a good number of amplifiers. This is probably one of the best amps that I have owned, along with a Mesa Taxi. This amp sounds louder than the Mesa and has a better clean channel. The Mesa has much better distortion, but I always have my Power Driver handy so it's not a big deal.
If this amp was stolen, I would probably buy it again, possibly the 2x12 version (though I've heard that they don't come with Jensen's anymore, but rather cheap Shark imitations). I might also get Behringer's new V-ampire modeling amp (60watts, 1x12).
Overall, for 200 US dollars, this amp deserves nothing less than a 10. It's easily equivilent to $400 amplifiers.

Features are amazing, I was about to purchase a $1000+ dollar modeling amp (fender's cyber twin), until I found this. My only problem is the lack of a decent distortion. But the surplus of chorus, delay, reverb, phaser, and flanger effects makes up for that. Amazingly versitle. However, there is a drawback in that when you switch channels, the effects are restored to their default settings, meaning you can't switch back to that channel and expect it to sound the same as you left it.

I will exclude commenting on distortion effects because that is not why I bought this amp, and that is not what this amp was designed for. Other than that, this amp is beyond satisfactory for the sounds it can produce. While you can't run multiple effects at once, they have included effects selections that includes multiple effects under one setting that would have most likely been combined by the user anyways if they had had the option.

Behringer Ultratwin Amp dated 07/02. I play clean to barely overdriven (just enough for a boost during solos) lead guitar in a Caribbean/Jimmy Buffett type band and use this amp for rehearsal. It has two switchable channels operated from the faceplate or the included footswitch. The footswitch also operates an effects bypass. It has independent channel volumes. The only feature on the clean channel is a volume control. The drive channel features a mid boost button, a morphing knob to tweak the distortion characteristics, overdrive control and presence control. A master 3-band EQ section and master volume round out the controls. It's onboard effects range from useful to tasteless, I only use the unit's reverbs, some of which are very nice, and delays. One of it's cabinet simulations is not that bad either. Effects are fully tweakable and you can save your effects settings.
Its features include MIDI in, a speaker mute button, headphone jack (1/4" stereo), slave in jacks (1/4" L and R), tape out jacks (RCA's), tape in jacks (RCA's), stereo line out jacks (1/4" L and R), aux in jacks (1/4" L and R) and insert effects send and return jacks (1/4").
Both the headphones and line out/tape out signals are frequency-corrected (speaker emulation). You can tap the unprocessed signal directly after the pre-amp using the insert send jack. Since the slave in jacks are configured as insert jacks, you can insert an external stereo effects device using an insert cable (a 1/4" TRS stereo plug on one end, and two mono 1/4" TS plugs on the other).
Amplifier is solid state, 2x30 watt into two 10" Jensen loudspeakers (model JCH10/35) this is configured in stereo. 24-bit stereo multi-effects processor with 24-bit AD/DA converters. MIDI implementation for channel and effect selection and real time control. There is an optional MIDI footboard.
It seems that with all the stuff they packed in this little amp, they couldn't find a way to cram a tuner into it too. That or it was just an oversight. Being able to use more than one effect would be good, but there are some presets that combine more than one effect. You can't choose which effects you want to combine though. It would also be VERY useful to have independent EQ for both channels instead of just the master EQ section, so minus one point in this category for that.

I mainly use a 1982 Fender American Standard Stratocaster with gold Lace Sensor single coil pickups. I play both rhythm and lead in many styles: reggae, ska, blues, rock, jazz, punk, funk and experimental jam weirdo trip-out stuff too. I can get cool vintage rock'n'roll clean tones from this amp. Nice surf sounds too when I use the bridge pickup and lots of reverb. You can get a light bluesey lead on the drive channel when you keep the volume and distortion very low and the master volume at around 7. May I suggest the reverb and delay effect for this (preset # 20, tweaked to your personal preference of course). The clean channel will get crunchy when it is really loud. Same deal there, keep the channel volume low and the master cranked for good tone. The drive channel is weak and the mid boost does not help. I play with a rhythm section and an acoustic guitarist/singer and the Ultratwin is more than loud enough for rehearsal or playing a house party.
Minus two points in this category because the drive channel sucks.
By the way, this amp looks cool. Covered in all black with a black grille cloth, a silvery metal face plate and shiny steel corner protectors. Looks almost vintage except for the green numerical display, the logos and the fact it is brand new.

Seems reliable and sturdy enough. It is a nice thick plywood cabinet covered in tough vinyl or similar with a good handle and steel corner protectors. It is likely you could drop it and it would still work fine (warning: results may vary). I use this amp for rehearsal because it is light (35 pounds) and loud enough. It is my gig back up, and with the direct out, I can cover whatever the P.A. can, obviously. My main rig is currently a Line 6 2x12 combo.
I have not had the GX210 long enough to contribute a rating to this category.

I live in San Diego, CA and as of the time I write this review there are no dealers here that carry Behringer guitar amplifiers. Behringer USA has a nice website on which I found their phone number. They gave me the number of their Southern California sales representative who twice failed to call me back after he said he would. He was nice enough though and eventually directed me to the closest dealer who is in Irvine. Minus one point in this category because the rep did not call me back as promised.

I have been playing guitar for 11 years total and electric guitar for 7 years. I play other various instruments too and have been involved in music since primary school some 20+ years ago. I am also trained and experienced in live sound and studio recording.
I own/owned/use/trade/buy/sell lots of gear and nothing else has the features of the GX210 for the price. If it were lost or stolen I would likely buy another, but who knows. I don't intend to sell or trade it though. It is definitely a keeper and perfect for rehearsal. It will likely record well, but I have not yet used it in this capacity. I would use good condenser microphones instead of the emulated direct out and also record the pure amp signal from the insert send for later processing.
I nailed the sound I need for a particular song with this amp so it might get put in the main gig rig on an A/B switch and direct out to the P.A. (the emulation is fine for live applications).
This amplifier would be a good choice someone on a budget looking to upgrade from a really small amp to a slightly bigger practice amp or for the guitarist that doesn't want to haul their whole gig rig to rehearsal. It does take a lot of tweaking to get the good tone though so a familiararity with amps and effects is a prerequisite.
This amp's tone is not great, but good enough.
Metal heads, punk rockers, etc. beware! This amp is probably not for you. If you expect this thing to growl and snarl and gnash its teeth, remember its a little solid state 2x10 we are talking about here. It will however howl a little bit with proper coaxing.
Overall I rate it at a very solid 9. If the drive channel were more useful it would get a 10.
Its tone is not as good as some other small amps in the price range but its features (effects, inputs/outputs, footswitch,) size (2 ten inch Jensens) and power (2x30 watts stereo) more than make up for it. It is probably the biggest little amplifier for only $200 there is!

I think this amp is a 2001 or 2002 model, but I might be wrong....Amp would be great by itself for blues-classic-hard rock tones, but not quite enough gain/chunk for metal...I just use a Zoom with it, along with the footswitch for the amp processor, and I have a pretty nice tone. It has channel switching (comes with a footswitch), effects loop, headphone jack, midi IN or OUT (forgot which i'm a fucking moron with that), and a lot of other stuff. Check out the page for it on www.musiciansfriend.com. The amp has enough power for me right now, will get a 4x12 to upgrade later on, probably. Its a stereo amp, 2x30 watts as i'm sure you know by now. All in all, a features packed amp. One of its best attributes.

I use a Dinky Reverse Jackson with it, stock pickups (not very good). It suits my musicial style (metal, different kinds) with any multi-effects processor, because the amp distortion isn't effective for metal. The other effects on the amp processor are very nice though...99 Presets. Not noisy with a external processor, a bit noisy (some hiss) when using the amps overdrive/distortion channel. It doesn't seem to distort at high volumes...So, for amps sounds, I give it a 7....A bit noisy when cranked by itself, but all around good for any style besides metal.

No opinion yet. Had it for less than two weeks right now, havent gigged yet. I will submit a new review purely based on its gigging power later on...Like other reviews have said, would need a 4x12 cab or miked into a PA for large gigs, probably fine by itself for small-medium gigs. This amp would be great for rehearsal.

I've been playing for two years, own a shitty 30 watt Dean Markley practice amp and two guitars, and a Zoom 505. The 505 is really an underrated pedal, it sounds good if used through the effects loop...Anyway, I like that it was really quite cheap and is probably a great studio amp, and is loud....I don't HATE anything about it yet, really.....

Behringer Gx 210 is a virtube amp with a digital effects proccessor. Includes 2x30 watts Rms. The amp has two channels, effect loops and a headphone jack. Also includes a tape in, out. This amp has every feature that I ever needed and some. I play in a band and it gets plenty loud for a small to medium gig. If you wanna play at a large gig, your going to have to mic the amp anyways.

I use a Ibanez with humbuckers. It has a really good clean sound. I can't emphasize how nice the clean channel is. I was a little disappointed with the distortion. It's pretty weak, but I use my distortion pedal anyways. The amp at high volumes does have a noticable hum.

been playing with this amp only for a few days. . . havent even touched the surface of all of the effects. 99preset digital effects each with its own set of user adjustable parameters. 99 effects but most are "groups".. . . like 3 different phasers, etc. im pretty sure most of the effects will never be used, my initial response is that most of them sound really bad. but i could be wrong. . . so much to explore, so little time. all the jacks you could possible need, especially for recording. midi, headphones, etc.

have a tele (s/s) with hotrails humbucker in the bridge position. also have an old hamer (h/s/s) with a seymour duncan distortion humbucker and a dimarzio hs2 in the mid. position, neck pup. is stock. both guitars sound absolutely stunning on the clean channel. warm and inviting. the distortion channel is another story. i've been playing with it trying to get a good overdrive tone, but i havent found it yet. ive given up for now. ill just continue to use my pedals before the amp (sansamp gt2, mxr distortion) for distortion. otherwise, the clean is pretty amazing, can achieve all sorts of "clean" - mild overdrive, warm blues, country twang, possibilities are great. havent got to test it in a real lound situation yet, for right now, its been a pratice amp. one thing is that the bass seems a little week, but that could be from lack of "me turning up the volume". there is also an annoying hum, that i cant get rid of. i have no idea what it could be, maybe a defect. maybe not. its not terribly loud, but it is noticable, i may try and return it.

the metal piece that displays what the knobs are for was peeling off when i recieved the amp. i assume they used that material for cost cutting reasons, which leaves me a little suspect of the build quality. that piece will fall off. ill just have to glue it back on. the box it was shipped in was also of very low quality - thin and very small, not much room for "super-packing". nonetheless, the amp was shipped in perfect condition (box felt like it was about to come apart though). very skimpy on the internal packing. would definitely not gig without a backup, especially with the addtion of the processor on this amp. .. you never know.

been playing for about ten years. id probably buy the 212 if this one were stolen, it will probaly have the bass that seems to be lacking from the 210. clean channel is creamy. love it. the hum is a little annoying, i cant see myself getting used to it. would have been nice if the distortion channel were a little more beefy, but ive got pedals so no biggie. overall though, im thoroughly impressed with the variety of clean sounds and by the quality of sound. only time will tell about the build quality, its a pretty cheap amp, corners obviously had to be cut, i just hope they cut the right ones.

Second review for this amp--it deserves it. I've been using this for months now,and it has proven itself to be a great amp for any style of music.I have found the lack of EQ on each channel(they share an EQ)to be the one bitch, but it 's a small thing, when comparing all the other features provided. This amp will not replace a primo 100 watt amp,but will replace everything else...

After much use,I have found the mid-gain boost a bit noisy. Not a big thing, considering the amount of gain it produces.Pretty dang awesome.
You can build a clean and dirty channel with ANY KIND effect imaginable, with seperate effects on each. Very nice...for a cheap combo! I can duplicate just about any set-up for a cover band gig, and I love the direct out, which reduces overall stage levels.

Wish this woulda been available in the 70's.I'd get the larger watt-age 2-12 model,if I had to replace this baby; I probably will, anyway.(The dual EQ's on that model is the only improvement I'd make, beside more wattage, regarding this 2-10)

Now you must wondering why i said dont buy this if your in a band. well its a great amp but its not very loud, in fact even if you turn it up to 10 it will barely stand out against a powerful drummer.
2x30 watts is more like 30 watts period. in twin amps you dont multiply the wattage this amp is probably as loud as a 45 watt solid state amp or something like that. other than that its great. Ill take of 1 point for volume.

Brand new 2002 Behringer ultratwin 210 amp. This is the best fuckin' combo amp for its price. If I didnt know any better i would have thought an amp like this sells for over 400 dollars but its price tag is at 299$ (retail. 399$). Its not as loud as say a crate 212 amp, but it has enough power for small to medium gigs, and large gigs if put through the pa (get more into that later) ton of VERY good effects. Virtube Solid State Technology (really does sound like a tube amp)
in 2 words EXTREMELY VERSATILE

I use an Ibanez SA160 (pretty shitty) but even with these horrible pickups im getting a kick ass sound out of the behringer. my band plays punk and only punk. we do use effects however in some of our songs. it is soo amazingly quiet. HOWEVER both channels do have a VERY faint hum but the hum doesnt get louder even if the volume is up. the amp can play anything from blues to some modern hard rock, i wouldnt recommend this for death metal or anything like slipknot or mushroomhead where you need so much gain that you can tell tonal changes. the distortion can go from a warm tube sound (very nice) to a grated fender hot rod sound (nice but ear painful). the virtube technology is amazing. this amp is not loud enough for playing in extremely large gigs, but then again waht solid state combo is. ive played in a skate park all the way up to a basketball stadium with this and it seems to be loud enough. if you put it through the PA then you dont have worry about buying a power amp or extension cab. but if you are a band thats been playing for awhile and need a step up from those crappy practice amps get this amp. even if i got a half-stack id use this for practicing with the band.

I use a Gibson Les Paul Std. and this amp can make the sounds of anywhere from country to modern rock, and sounds so much like a tube amp, that you cannot tell a difference. THE TEST. my friend owns a fender hotrod deville 212. We got someone to blindfold themselves and listen to both amps. They thought that the behringer was the tube amp and the hotrod was the solid state. I dunno how behringer did it but the virtube may be replacing all amps since the emulation is sooo amazing. as for the efx they are perfect!!!

Using a Dean Radiant Acoustic Guitar the stereo chorus sounded good with the pick-up in guitar. No feedback, and good sounds. Then plugged in my Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus. With all the options this amp has with the build in effects, you can go from a stereo chorus amp sound to a combo and speaker cab types.I have always had tube amps. This amp sounds as good as most of them I have played. The big test will be when I play my Heritage 535 with new HRW pick-ups and the new VAR-I-PHASE. Where I can cut the hum buckers to single coils. This amp has two jacks, one for humbuckers and one for single coils. Be sure you plug into right jack.I have a Digitec RP 100 which most people like. The effects on the Behringer are as good,or better. And is all build in.What is nice is the 2 button solid made foot control. You can switch from clean to overdrive, with the effects on or off with the other button.Comes with a nice little card with how to set different settings like clean, crunch, drive, and headphones. The Rotary Speaker gave that Leslie sounds. The 2- 10" Jenson speakers sound great. For you who need the 12" speakers.Buy the 212. (I bought the 210,because later my plans was to put one 12" in with a 10" ) Custom builders of amps, and some have done this to get sound from both a 10" and 12" And looks like there is room to do this. But I'm so happy with the sound,I may just keep the 2-10" in there. The reverb has many settings from Spring to Plate. Plate really sounded good. When you test the amp, take your guitar. Or use a better guitar at music store.I may sell all my tube amps, and just keep this one.

Had Crate Stealth, and VC models that I sold. This is really my first solid state with digital effects. I'm pleased with the tube like sound and the effects. For only $270, it sounds as good as amps $200 more and up. (I was thinking of a Peavey or Crate 40 CX+) because the good reviews on these two amps. But they only come with 2 8" speakers. Morphing knob for instantaneous sound tweaking
Stereo 24-bit multi-effects processor with 99 presets

The amp is very versatile and although my guitar experience is very limited, I have listened to a few amps and this one is very good for the price! I mostly play clean but the overdrive sounds good (not very powerful but it will do!) and couple that with the chorus stereo effect and you got a great sound! I use this amp mostly for playing at home and practising and I'll give it a try in recording at home with it. I think it's one of the best modeling amps out there within this price range.

My guitar is a cheap Ibanez Gax75 with 2 powersound humbuckers. The amp has two guitar inputs (a hi and a lo) for single coil pickup guitars and the other one for guitar with humbuckers.!
The amp is almost silent! You can hear almost no hiss in the clean channel and just a little hiss in the overdrive channel. The effects included in the amp make it very versatile but some of the effects I just don't like. For example: the wah effect sucks big time (compared to a competent pedal), the distortion one sounds ... ahhhh... different. Maybe it is my ears (and me being a newbie!).

The Tech 21 Trademark 10 also sounds good in this price range but I think the volume issue will be a big thing!
