This amp far outdoes the $600 Roland KC550 in this regard. The Eq alone kills the KC, with
only 3 bands of eq as the K3000fx has a 7 band eq with effects as an option onboard. When
prosumers are looking for a keyboard it needs to be able to handle all keyboardists of all levels whether they're a vocalist or not, multiple boards or not, recording or not and just totally provide the most versatile unit period. And for the $$$ you can get 2 of these for the price of one for those who think..while it don't sound like Roland...its better..as a matter of fact there is no amp at any price level that can compete...think 600 watts for the price of a 180 watt under performer....? True stereo...yes this is a no brainer.......

Sound Quality : 10
Again any gear will distort without proper handling....so levels, gains, player ability all play a factor....it can make you sound real good or make you look like an idiot cause you don't know to level your gear properly...remember its not the FOH system...its for you to monitor yourself..and if others have to hear you...remember line out... in stereo in 4 different ways...
Its louder, cleaner and more versatile...not just one dimension as with the kc550.

Reliability : 10
Behringer has an excellent customer service network........This amp was made to take a beating as with the kc550....all Behringer gear i have ever touched or had to deal with has held up to the gig...and beyond the gig.....to pay for itself...

Customer Support : 10
As stated.....flawless

Overall Rating : 10
well....i paid little...got much, so you decide....2 of these (not needed)but for the price...
got 8 channels, 2 15 inch woofers...covering all bases..Behringer made a bulletproof monster
able to withstand any gig....without prejudice ...just true facts and results......Thanks Behringer...........

I bought this amp because I needed a good strong amp for my bass. I tried it out at guitar center once or twice and had no problems with it. I found a brand new one on ebay and bought it. The 100 effects are very useful. I actually only play guitar, but my father plays bass. One thing, i have no idea what the shape setting is supposed to do. The manual just said something about a revolutionary tone. The FBQ and graphic equalizer really help my high-volume feedback issue. All i can say is that this amp was made for featuristic sound.

Sound Quality : 8
Well, i usually use my RP80 effects pedal, cause this has no drive.
I am a true rock and roller. I wish it had overdrive on it, even if it is a keyboard amp. For 300 watts, it shoud be able to shatter glass, witch I have tried to floor it once, and it really isnt that loud. All the chorus, phazer, flanger, pitch shift, delay, reverb and whatnot work very well. I can make it clip on even low volumes if i yell loud enough in a mic. Maybe the effects console just isnt as powerful as the speakers. I do enjoy adding wierd sounds to my distortion, witch have helped me contain my crazy style.

Reliability : 10
This is my most powerful amp so far, but im heading towards a marshall half stack. there are no tubes on this amp, witch i dont really care about. This would be my gig amp, with a few more amps. It has never broken down and I hope it never does.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Since i got this off ebay, i havent really communicated with beringer. The service manual was helpful though, and they seemed to contribute lot of time into their technological amp engineering. this was a 1 year warratny and hasnt failed me.

I'm using the K3000fx not only for my keyboard-amplification, but for my guitar modeling-pedal as well. It performs good with both of them, even at low volumes for home use. Lucky neighbours.
I've also plugged in an amplified accoustic guitar, and was amazed by the clean sound. Gets very close to a dedicated quality accoustic guitar amp.
There are a lot of usefull functions on board, like the feedback destroyer and the equaliser. The equaliser and the effects pannel are equipped with red LED's, which makes the machine look a lot more interesting on stage. But that aside.

Sound Quality : 7
Sound quality is, as said before, very clean, flat and powerfull. Better than I expected from a Behringer product to be honest. Ideal for guitar modeling, accoustic guitars and keyboards.
Mind the gain settings for the separated channels, as this baby tends to distort at high gain settings of 80% and more. This is easily solved by turning down the gain and raising the main volume.
Just don't expect to get a full 300 watts clean sound out of the speakers. If you truly need a 300 watts amplifier, look for another (but more expensive!) product.

Reliability : 7
I haven't tested it for a long period yet, so I can't comment on this one. The casing looks and feels rock solid, and so do the knobs on top of it. Based on what I've seen now, I would depend on it without backup.
No problems with the tweeter either, yet I recommend to test it before buying (as with any musical instrument or product).

Customer Support : 8
I've once sent an e-mail to the customer support, and got a quick reply. I guess this part is quite okay. If anything is wrong with the product, I can easily sent it back to my local Behringer dealer under warranty.

Overall Rating : 8
Of course, I chose this product because of its price and features, and I'm not disappointed in any way. I've been playing different instruments for 12 years now, using different gear and amplifiers. This amp seems to be a very good all-in-one solution for my modeler, accoustic guitar, keyboard and microphones. Whenever a stereo signal is needed, you can always hook it up to a pa-system. Nice work Behringer.

Ease of Use : 10
Pretty easy. It's just an amp.

Features : 10
7 band EQ and onboard effects. It also has built in XLR out with ground lift and 1/4" out for going into the FOH system.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 10
It sounds very clean and does not color the sound. I have used it both with the Hammond XK3 and a Kurzweil SP88. Great piano sounds and super Hammond sounds.
I have been using it in a live band environment with a loud guitar player and have been cutting through the mix with the amp on 5.

Reliability : 10
So far so good. I am using it without a backup but, realistically, I could alway plug into the mains if it failed me. Haven't had that problem though.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't used them. I did buy a performance warranty through Guitar Center, though, because of past horror stories regarding Behringer service.

Overall Rating : 10
This amp is priced right for the struggling musician. If money were no object I would probably opt for something different but, since that is not the case, this amp has been performing as expected. I gig nearly every weekend, sometimes doing 3 to 4 shows in a two day period.

In some instances, due to space limitations, I can't get my Leslie into the venue, this amp has to do double duty as a piano and organ amp. No complaints!

Not sure when this amp came out. I have been trying to see the K1800FX, but there are delays. Probably quality issues. More on that later.

I am a Midi Guitarist (all styles) who needs a very clean amp combo. I do own a Line6 Spider II, which can be very clean, but I wanted a keyboard amp with a closed back, good bass response and clear highs, but did not want to spend $400 to $1,000. Therefore, I went Behringer.

4 channels (XLR input on ch 1), 24-bit digital FX processor with 100 presets. 7 band EQ, Feedback detection, headphone jack, stereo direct out, cd in, Shape control (just a mid boost really), master volume, 15" BUGERA woofer and a 1" tweeter, various connections on the back.

Pretty verstile to connect into and out of. More than enough features for the mixing section. You can connect two amps together to get true stereo. For the price of 1 Roland KC 550, you can just about get two K3000FXs. But before you run out to get one, read on...

Sound Quality : 5
Not much variety in the tone of the amp. It is clean and either very booming or flat. You MUST use a modeling pedal with this. So why did I review it here? Some guitarist want a clean sound. You should NOT use a modeling pedal with a tube amp. What's the point of a modeling pedal if the amp is coloring the sound too?

The amp is billed as a PA / Keyboard amp. Don't know about the PA part, but I guess in a very small place it will do.

This amp will distort ugly at high volumes (speaker buzz, cabinet buzz). There is a clip indicator on the amp. It is a two step led (1 green and 1 red). That is the problem with this amp. Lot's of features, and great ideas, but they stop short of what they could be. Truly you get what you pay for.

Behringer makes the K3000FX (300 watts), the K1800FX (180 watts), the K900Fx (90 watts), and the K450FX (45 watts).
While the amps sound good, the power is not there. I don't know what measure Behringer uses, but the K3000FX is NOT 300 watts. Even their spec pages simply says "power output 300 watts". 300 watts at what ohm? at what K-hertz? at what frequency range? Since the speakers are wired for 4 ohms, I suspect the power output to be about 200 watts or less. I compared a $549 Crate 100 watt keyboard amp to the $279 K3000FX and it was louder and had a better EQ (full range control). But I did not have $600 to spend at the time and needed an amp quick.

So, if you think you can get by the 45 watts, get the K1800FX instead. If you want more power than 90 watts, get the K3000FX. Problem will be the weight. The K3000FX weighs 20 pounds more than the next model down (K1800FX). Remember, the EQ is subtractive and the moment you lower a EQ slider, you are taking away from the amps output.

Sound quality is standard for anything with a 15 woofer and tweeter.
And what the heck is a Bugera speaker? Nothing on the net about this "brand?" Just like the power output, Behringer seems to think people will be wowed about Bugera and high output. Americans aren't that stupid.

I got this amp for the mixer section and the clear sound of a 2 way speaker system. Because of my midi setup and modeling pedal, I need to have 4 inputs and using one amp makes it convenient. Typically play a Strat, 335, or Telecaster through the amp. It sounds fine. Just cannot turn it up. The stereo DI in the back work fine to connect to a large PA. The amp has a bad hiss if the master volume is turned up. You can't turn the preamp past halfway as the clip indicator comes on, so if you need high volume, you have to live with the hiss or go direct into a board.

The effects section is again just there. 100 presets? For what? They are limited. But I guess if someone does not have an effects unit, at least there is something.

Reliability : 5
Okay, this is very important. Before I settled on this amp, I tried one out at the Guitar Center and the tweeter was buzzing off and on. So I asked to have another on brought out from a box. It also had a bad tweeter (brand new). Then, I went to another Guitar Center and tried out a K900FX. Turned it on and the tweeter crackled. The K900FX has very little bass response for 90 watts and I would not use on a gig. Not as a monitor amp either. Then I tried a K3000FX, and it sound great with the 15 woofer, but the power did not compare to 100 watt keyboard amps there. There is a reason Roland, Crate, Peavey, etc., cost more money.
But if you are going to buy Behringer, get the highest end piece and then you will come to a level against the other brands.

So I write Behringer and ask them about the tweeter problem. They write back saying "This is the first time someone told us about a tweeter problem. We use the highest standards, yada, yada, yada. If you have a problem we will be happy to repair or replace. Well, I read on the net someone's review about this amp and they had a tweeter problem too. I had issues too before buying, but we will see what happens with my amp. It is still new, but I had to go through 3 amps and played the one I have for 3 hours in the store before I took it home. Again, at the time, I needed an amp and could not wait to save money for something else. Time will tell...

Customer Support : 5
When I wrote Behringer about the tweeter issue, I received a response in two days. They do have service centers around.

My concern and my warning to you is: Behringer's email to me had a statement of: "There will be a certain percentage of electronic equipment that will be defective in the manufacturing process. It just happens that way. But we will take whatever steps to repair or replace our product." What? a certain percentage? If my amp was inspected, why would there be a sound defect? Again, Americans are not that stupid.

Overall Rating : 7
Been playing for over 30 years, have had many amplifiers. I like solid state amps for power only. Because of my different styles, a modeling pedal is the way to go. And because of using Midi, I need a mixer / amp combo all in one package. For the money, the K3000FX is satisfactory. Beware of the quality control and try out the amp BEFORE taking it home.

It is not on the same level as Roland, Peavey, Fender, Crate, etc., but it has a clean range that can work for a cost far less than the other guys.

I wish Behringer would stop copying other brands (K3000FX looks like Roland's KC series) and design their own. The cabinet is not acoustically sound like Roland's, but still works to a point.
